  • What for...?I did not like his looks when he was Heathcliff. Now he looks much more better!

  • He's great, but he needs hair.

  • Ralph realy deserves an Oscar! But in the end - he knows what he is worth. I`m sure he´s satisfied enough even without it. Good work(he always did)in it self makes the people happy.

Thank you for posting the interview. A nice guy in a good mood...

  • No Oscar win for Schindler's List? No win for The English Patient? No win for The Reader, The Constant Gardener?

This man has been in so many movies, The Schindler's List is legendary, I forget what movie Tommy Lee Jones even won for!

He's been robbed! Hopefully he will win an Oscar, he deserves it!

  • @TheFruitThtAteItself

exactly! well, okay i have to admit i've only seen The English Patient and Schindler's List and The Reader from what you mentioned...but those three films are excellent work. i mean excellent. i'm disappointed ralph didn't win for EP but i'm shocked he didn't win for Schindler's . i love ralph. he's very passionate and intuitive. awards aren't everything but it's nice to see recognition paid where it's due.

  • totally devastated about the closure off the fan website damn :( that was a good place guilty pleasure really hahaha this film is amazing pure charactism and acting acting is a talent that comes naturally to this man its obsence glourious you inspire me ralph immensely

  • is he working on the movie "The Gifted" in NY?

a friend of mine is in NY now, but dont know if Ralph is there :)

I LOVE YOU BABY!!!!... even though your Ralph Fiennes Corner official dedicated site for you by the fans is gone now, i still wish to see you one day, but you never stay in one place ^ ^

  • ""even though your Ralph Fiennes Corner official dedicated site for you by the fans is gone now, i still wish to see you one day, but you never stay in one place ^ ^"

Ralph Fiennes Corner reopened and it's an unofficial fansite.

Very nice and charming interview. I'm glad the interviewer wasn't so ignorant as to ask Ralph what it was like to work with Winslet like others have, as if he wasn't a vastly talented veteran in the field and it wouldn't be a privilege to work with HIM.

  • Thank you very much for posting this interview. I've also had the privilege of seeing Mr. Fiennes live onstage. His acting brilliance is increased at least tenfold. I highly recommend any true Ralph fan make the effort to see him in a play at least once in his/her lifetime, if he/she has the means.

  • @LinkChicky23 i pray to somehow come across the opportunity and the means to one day see ralph perform in person! please, dear sweet lord! lol. i love him so. i'd never be able to approach him but to see him from afar would be so wonderful.

  • @christentze He often does stage work in New York and London. Perhaps you may be able to catch him in a play!

  • @StephenHoltShow i sure hope so, as with all my other favorites. but ralph is really something special. until then, i will enjoy your interviews. : )

  • @christentze Thank you Christentze. R U a subscriber? You should be! Every YouTube subscriber counts!

  • @StephenHoltShow i am now! : ) i loved your laura linney interviews, too! i heard she was performing in new york recently if i got it right!

  • @christentze Yes, she was. It was called "Time Stands Still" in a limited run that is now over, sadly.

  • @StephenHoltShow : ( so sad that it's over. you give some of the best interviews, though, so i can kind of live them them. hahaha. would you do me a favor and tell ralph i love him even though he hears that 230983098 times a day? i love you, too, stephen holt!

  • @christentze Merci beaucoup, christenze!

  • @StephenHoltShow de rien. c'est moi qui doit vous remercier. : )

  • I'm so disappointed that he hasn't got a nomination for any of the 3 films he had this year... What's up with Hollywood? He's done a wonderful job in several occasions and never won an Oscar so far... And now not even getting a nomination...

I'm happy that at least The Reader has been recognized.

  • I m also surprised that he has not got any Oscar yet. He's such a great Actor.

  • Total agreeance. He's one of the best actors working today and as you can see in this interview, he's a helluva nice guy.

  • lucky you!!

oh my gosh when did you conduct the interview?

  • End of November, beginning of Dec.'08

  • I agree! I always go to see his movies as well, he's definitely one of the best actors ever and I'm looking forward to the Reader so much that I can hardly wait...

If you like his performances in movies, you should see him on the stage, that is really amazing!

Thanks for this great interview, Stephen!
