Nah man. If anything us young kids are the ones tryna stop fights between people arguing over Megadeth vs. Metallica. Growing up my dad always taught me to be respectful towards metal bands that I didn't like, and I think that it's the same with most of my friends. I mean, you guys that were teenagers in the 80's got to grow up with bands like Megadeth, while my generation gets screamo and metalcore. Truthfully, most of us are thankful just to know about bands from the 80's.

no dude, see Slayer has put out the same album since they started it;s called SHIT! same sound, same riffs, same shit vocals, same fucking shit that idiots put out. Slayer is most likely the worst of them all. thoguh Metallica and Megadeth went non heavy, it was still better than Slayer's music. Met's and Deth's worst sellers are better than Slayers. Endgame is more thrash the Death Magnetic though. Kirk got infedted with Wah real bad and Chris got infected with sweeping virus.

Metallica is more melodic only if you like their melodies more. But that's that. But comparing them in a "melodic" way, by counting the number of melodies that those bands have, than Megadeth wins again. Especially in Marty's era, and in Chris Broderick's era. (one of the biggest Chris' influences was Marty)
