I was 21 going on 22 when this came out. They played this at Melius in N'awlins and the locals were like 'what the *))*"/ ?? Me and my GF use to hit clubs in '93 when first moved to Atlanta and this was still popular. Berlin's The Masquerade BackStreets (Gay and Straight mixed bar) Buckhead, Club Anytime Velvet etc. Those were the days:)
i used to mix this into james brown is still alive by Holynoise wicked belgian techno. oh how i wish i was a teccno deejay, but sold all my tunes 2 years ago. love this and thanks for puttin it here!!
This brings me back memories of a Night Club at Miami South Beach called EGOIST 1991-1992. My favorite club of all time. They played this song every Saturday night and everyone in the club including me went crazy. This was the first Miami club playing Techno. I am 42 now and I was 21 back then.
Not quite, it's rave. They're both similar in that they have very strong beats, but rave is more melodic, less repetitive, and more intense/aggressive. They still have a connection in how rave has partially evolved from hard techno though.
@MyLalinea IMO techno = kraftwerk, ymo etc but they used to call techno the derivates of belgian new beat / acid house the same way they are calling electro today's crap...
Finally, someone with the original 91 version. This song electrified clubs like the limelight and the palladium in NYC back in the day. I remember when this song was played, everyone went insane and danced like there was no tomorrow. Too bad songs like this are short lived.

I left Chicago in 89 for the west-coast so I must have been listening to too much Gangster rap to notice. Great song though.
