  • Yes the human brain is amazing but it has its limitations and can't be relied upon to make the right decision every time. Inattention, sensory overload, distractions, ill health, irrationality effect us all at some point. I doubt anyone who drives a vehicle is completely free of having made poor judgments, had never taken a risk, never was distracted or just simply did something dumb etc. I know I have made a few. This doesn't excuse of course but offers, perhaps, an explanation.

  • Leslie says that is fake, it doesn't look like anything

  • I bet the driver was like OH MY GOD!

  • It looks like the train driver did have enough time to stop or swerve. It makes it scary on the road.

  • @yynnmmbb swerve!!??

  • @yynnmmbb trains cant swerve homie

  • Who raises that pail of shit on the truck?

  • What Happen Next ??

  • STUPIDITY AT ITS FINEST

  • looks like the trucker was blinded by the trees to the train comeing, and he was probably running late to a delivery and was gooing too fast, looks like he slammed on the brakes but being on a dirt road and all the conetic energy in the heavy truck made the brakes lock up and skid to the crossing. wher he got hit, really wasnt his fault just a little bit of neglagence x3

  • Fired...

  • state law says that school bus drivers stop open the door look both way then close the door and never shift gears (if manual trans) before crossing the tracks also all trucks carrying haz mat materials must stop!!!

  • @Fucktheworld14020 why do they have that law.

  • what kind of cruel dick tease is this?

  • That was a Aussie Road Train that got hit,If that kind of rig have hit the train, the train will have derailed.Road Trains pull 3 or more trailers.

  • Worst drivers in the world are truck drivers and TAXI drivers. Hate those freaking taxi bastards.

  • @warzdune My dads a great driver, and he's a truck driver./:

  • @warzdune No,it's you people who cut trucks off at the exits, jump in front of a truck doing the speed limit while your doing 20 mph below the limit, doing the minimium in the left lane and won't speed up or move over.Basically people that don't know what common courtesy is and don't care to find out.

  • @dirtyhavoc "Basically people that don't know what common courtesy is and don't care to find out."

You mean truck drivers. Yeah we know all about them.

  • @dirtyhavoc What are you talking about I'm a great driver. I drive better than 99.99 percent of the people on the road fyi. It's the people on the road that give me a head ache. Like taxi and truck drivers. Especially taxi.

  • @warzdune Amen. They think they own the roads, don't know what YIELD and RIGHT OF WAY mean. Just because they are bigger they think they can do whatever they want.

  • All trains blow horns crossing over road crossings unless its a no blow area. Those no blow areas usually have gates that cover the entire road. Best thing to do is approach all rail crossings as if a train is coming, then proceed when way is proven clear.

  • arab truck drivers

  • uhhh whas that an acident

  • if i were the trucker i would just floor it when the truck came on the tracks. Then it would hit the trailer, not the truck

  • i think he shit himself

  • Where's the rest of ya!!!???

  • shouldn't this video be about 5 seconds longer?

  • if he only didnt touch the brake :oDDDDDDDD

  • texting.

  • where's the rest of ya!!??

  • The very best collision avoidance system that can be had is already in use and is being used by me and hundreds of thousands others. And it's completely FREE!!It's called "The Human Brain"This is how it works.1)Approach railroad crossing.2)Slow down and look both ways.3)Proceed if clear.4)If there is a train be ready to stop BEFORE crossing the tracks.See!!It works!Every single day of my life I've used this "Brain"and I've NEVER been hit by a train!!Use it!!And it's FREE!!!!

  • @gebass6 Here in Pa, for decades school buses were required to stop on the tracks, open the door, & look for a train before crossing. It has to be absolutely the dumbest law I've ever heard of. Finally someone used this "brain" you speak of & now they have to stop before the tracks. Most likely there was years of arguments to make that happen though.

  • @KenMacMillan No state has EVER had a law the required a school bus to stop ON THE TRACKS. NEVER.

  • @headmouse Whether there was a law or not, that's what they did. Since every time I saw a bus at train tracks they stopped with the door lined right up with the tracks, opened the door & looked for a train, I just figured it was a law.

  • @KenMacMillan The law states that a bus driver is to stop before the tracks, open the door and window. leave the door open while crossing the tracks. Not sure why they would stop on the tracks, but that would explain why the door was open at the time.

  • @headmouse In Illinois, it is required for all trucks and buses to stop before the tracks, whether there is a train coming or not.

  • @KyuuA4 That's what I am saying. Federal law says all buses have to stop BEFORE the tracks. IDK about Illinois, but I know that federal law only says that trucks carrying chemicals have to stop at crossings.

  • @gebass6 I agree what a maricle.

  • @gebass6 Awesome ya now if only everyone else would use there braain too

  • @gebass6

Great comment! Only one problem. It appears that some people do not have a brain.

  • @gebass6 I like it, Good one. I hope the Idiots pay Attention

  • @gebass6

The brain if used properly is the most powerful computer in the world.. if not the universe... It's sad that people feed it improper programming and make stupid mistakes

  • @gebass6 I don't know...that sounds almost too good to be true.

  • @gebass6 sometimes at private crossings the track itself is a corridor flanked by trees... during the summer months it can be a bitch to see past , and when you roll the hood over the track there are situations when the train can be bearing down on you. Several fatal accidents have happened as a result of poor visibility along the track at private crossings when the train was exceeding federal rail speed limits...

  • @GodlessMartyr666 Even in that situation, the car or truck driver is expected to use common sense and caution. If you can't see, slow down. This crossing had no gate barracades. Most do.And most work. There is a crossing near where I live that has extremely limited visibility, but I slow down and use caution. And as for speed limits on trains, the majority of people no nothing about the speed limit for a certain stretch of track. And are very likely to exaggerate the speed of a train.

  • @gebass6 the best thing to do is expect one to be coming at a high rate, in every situation. Like they say , expect the worst and when it happens at least you'll be aware... I agree, people have to take care of themselves, but when the wind is blowing and you can't see down the corridor of trees, it can be difficult to tell if theres one coming. As a rule of thumb, if you aren't sure, you should always get out and visually check each direction to ensure there isn't a lone engine speeding through

  • @GodlessMartyr666 Also,if the trees are that much of a hazard,it may be a good thing to contact the railroad company that owns the tracks and report the hazardous crossing. They should clear the trees enough to see approaching trains. Most railroads post a phone number sign to report malfuctioning gates. At least they do were I live.Still a good bet to listen for trains too. Most still blow for the crossings.Plus the engines make enough noise.

  • @gebass6 yeah the onus is on the rail operator but most people who get killed by the train weren't going to call the number to complain about the crossing, hell, they won't even exit the car to ensure their life isn't at risk... If you get a lazy driver in a lower gear coasting through, they can produce very little noise... Especially when you have wind blowing trees, not to mention everything is muted to a degree inside a car or truck, I've sat at tracks where the single engines don't warn OTAC

  • @GodlessMartyr666 Far more accidents are take place when trains are not exceeding federal rail speed limits. In fact, the vast majority of accidents take place when trains are completely following the rules. You should also be aware that in many/most cases the railroads do not own the land where the trees are obstructing the view. Otherwise most of your statements are true

  • @gebass6 looking isn't enough! You need to listen! There are some paths which aren't visible enough and a fast train can hit you. Audio/video signals can fail all the time. You need to trust your sensors.

  • @gebass6

Too complicated we should spend billions of dollars developing improved breaks for trains so they can stop for me. What do you think i have time to wait?

  • @gebass6 AND DONT BE A COMPLETE FUCKING INEPT DRIVER TOO.good advice by the way

  • @gebass6 a lot of people got it... but sometimes the batteries were not included...

  • The driver pulls out and looks " oh there's a train!" BOOM!

  • Well obviously, there were no RR arm bars at this crossing. This must've happened at some boon-dock town out of Alabama where the primitive ones exists.

"Dur, maybe we ought to put up some bars now, huh George?"

  • @throttlehard Aha nice reference!

  • @throttlehard There are thousands of crossings without gates throughout N/A. Every state has them, boon-dock or downtown Philadelphia. Gates costs tens of thousands of dollars to install and maintain and communities just do not have that kind of money. Personally I don't want my taxpayer dollar going to protect an idiot like the one shown in this video.

  • sell the truck on ebay for slightly used

  • @ZWkenner why did the clip end where it did?

  • You Fools that think others should look out for your own well being are the problem. You you look both ways when you walk across the street dont you? was there a sign posted that told you how to look? dident think so...Then why would you not look at a Railway crossing? Sometimes people are not paying attention??? well sounds like they should be

  • I gotta side with the truck-driver on this one. Look at the treeline to the road. it's clear he had no line-of-sight until it was too late. If the level had lights and a gate, rather than just a cross-buck, this wouldn't have happened.

I mean, you can see the truck is slamming the breaks from the second it enters the frame - if he was going as fast as the road demands, he can't be faulted for it.

  • @TodA51 He had no line of sight? What? Are you kidding?

He was approaching a railroad track he has probably crossed hundreds of times in his career. A trained driver knows to slow down and stop for these crossings when moving heavy loads. Instead he barrelled up to the tracks and slammed on the brakes at the last second (as you pointed out).

He is indeed completely, totally and utterly at fault here.

  • @TodA51 side with him all you want but its still illigal to cross tracks with out looking. Sometimes that means you have to slow down and check. Same reason school busses do....

  • @Lmackattack

I agree to a point. No fault is ever really 100%. I honestly do believe this could have been averted if a gate was put in place. Now, if the semi tried to navigate around the gates? Then... yea, I'd say maybe the blame would shift more in the truck drivers direction.

  • @TodA51 True. A gate system at an approximate cost of $150,000 plus on-going maintenance paid for at taxpayer expense might have prevented this idiot from barreling up to these tracks. But unfortunately communities do not have tht kind of revenue to protect every idiot from hurting themselves.

All this driver had to do was to obey the law and stop at a crossing he had probably crossed hundreds of times before

  • @TodA51

So he can go to his grave, happy in the knowledge that it was not his fault? If he can't see then he needs to slow down.

  • I gotta side with the truck-driver on this one. Look at the treeline to the road. it's clear he had no line-of-sight until it was too late. If the level had lights and a gate, rather than just a cross-buck, this wouldn't have happened.

  • dumb asses still just go around them anyways.

  • @lukedemmers Would everyone like to pay out millions in lawsuits against railroads and local governments? Is it too much to ask that if railroads are going to do business where they intersect with the public and put money out to set down a track that they can't complete the safety measures with a standard set of gates? Maybe we should get rid of air-traffic controllers, too, while we're all out saving money. Aren't they at every airport in the US?

  • @coashddjj2 The railroads were in almost all cases there before the roadways. So, is it too much to ask that when communities cross over privately owned property that they completely fund the protection necessary to keep stupid citicizens from pulling in front of trains?

If you had a driveway leading up to your trailer and your town put a roadway over it, why would you be responsible for the installation of stop signs?

  • you have that backwards, the new roads were built over the old railways. sounds like the public yeilds to the railroads not the other way around.....

  • these truck drivers are really cutting it close....i know they are on a tight route and that its hard to stop but really?

  • Trucks can't skid!

  • @twistedtornado100 ya they can

  • @twistedtornado100 Wrong!!I've seem semis "lock 'em up.Tractor trailer skid marks all over the roads.

  • is the train ok????

  • -make retarded joke about a sound at the end of video-

-retards click thumbs up on comment-

-feel slightly less emo making other peoples life a misery-

  • you know it wasnt such a big boom in the end it only harshly clipped the front not like it was in the middle of the tracks

  • I got a whole bag of "D'OH!" for the truck driver.

  • boom go the dynamite

  • No lights. No gates.Just a crossbuck.Nontheless, the truck should not have been going so fast that he could not stop it time.Remember Stop.Look and Listen?

  • "BLAM!!!" said the truck

  • and Boom goes the dynamite.

  • @gungasc Reggie Miller's lookin' good

  • @gungasc God dam..Good call! But in a world where people can sue tabaco companies for getting cancer, that brain thing you're talking seems less profitable..

  • @douvil i agree, lets sue people for poor judgement..........

  • Now Put A Finger In ass and FUCK THOSE 1 ,190,335 views !!

  • If he floored it he may have made it.

  • Since I'm commenting on my iPod I can't reply to comments but whoever said this video had no end is fucking retarded if it didn't have an end the video would go on forever dumbass

  • A video without the ending. What a douche.

  • fake and gay

  • @mrjupip

You idiot, its real it just got cut off. The train appears to be narrower at the front untill propably 2m back, when the train actually hit the truck.

  • por que chingados no lo pones completo men

  • shit

  • it dont matter people are gonna still not pay attention and try to beat trains anyway, they think their time is more valuable than life anyway . let them fucking get hit if they live they will have a better appreciation for life if not fuckem!!!!!!!

  • i've seen this vid. The front in of the truck is hit. It backs up before the cab is hit.

  • @Boss302fan The railroads should pay because they are in the business of running a railroad. Consider if a railroad built a set of tracks across the driveway leading up to your trailer. How would you feel if the railroad then said you were responsible for running their trains over it and ensuring the safety of the public along with it, including the individual such as the one who shot this Youtube footage that you're sitting on your butt watching from your said trailer?

  • @coashddjj2 If a railroad built tracks across my property damn straight they would pay. But in most countries around the world the railroads were there long before highways and streets. In most cases it is the communities asking permission to cross the tracks.

Now I do know Bossman lives in a goddamn big house outside of LA where he drinks too much and laughs at YouTube idiots like yourself. He also runs one of the busiest port railroads in NA. Maybe you sweep up for them after hours?

  • @jdgator95 How do you know the RR tracks were there first and then the city came and built a road across it? Furthermore, using your logic, I guess if the road were built first and then the tracks came along, you'd expect the RR to provide all the stop signs and stoplights up to the tracks, right?

  • @coashddjj2 jdgator95 knows this because he has read the history of nations such as Canada, MX, USA and Australia. You should try reading sometime.

But yes, if the roads are there and the railroads build across them the railroad pays for the signalling. If communities cross tracks they enter into a contract with the rail carrier that specifies the community pays for the crossing.

  • you asshole why did you cuted off

  • hmmm... no end, >.< now we don't know what really happened, did it go like BAM or did the truck go -very fast- backward? ( maybe the last thing isn't possible but I could be with some help from god haha)

  • A miner rush, ok, it's ok, got plenty on youtube. Glad no one was hurt in the making of this film lol. Close shot though, so you get points for that lol.

  • I'm pretty sure that truck driver still got fired. Good Try though, just needed 4 more feet. ^_^

  • lucky the video ended b4 the collision

  • xD Accident ? We dont see what xD

  • OWNED?

  • You should add "To Be Continued" at the end ! lol

  • is that truck driver alive

  • it should have been 10 seconds!

  • did the trailer office off the left died? x.O

  • #FAKE

  • @Poisonseed It's real.

  • DAMN IT! you stopped the camera right at the good part

  • nsw

  • thanks for stopping before the part we all ACTUALLY CLICKWE THIS FOR

  • Once a relative tried to get close to a moving train as he could in a car, he was drunk. The caboose came by and the steps stuck out and caught the corner of his car and drug it down the tracks. He was still able to drive it home though one wheel was straight and the other front wheel was sideways. His dad was MAD the next morning.

  • whoever uploaded this sucks!!! show the good stuff!

  • It wouldn't end with a bang it would end with a CHRSSSHHH!!

    Get it right.

  • BULLSHIT

  • 0:02 Prepare for FAIL in 3...2...1...

  • @Legotruck82 Yeah, he should have slowed down -- no kidding. But he didn't. Accidents happen. And your theory about "natural selection" and mollycoddling of accident victims...hahahaha. Big talker. Tell that one at the funeral.

  • @charlieb640 -- yep, things do cost money, how 'bout that. If the RRs can afford to run these tracks, they can afford to provide safety measures to protect the public, their crews and their equipment, like anybody else running a company. Try using financial figures to defend a RR in front of a jury when a terrible accident has occurred at a RR crossing...good luck.

  • @coashddjj2 Why should the railroads pay? In particular in North America, the railroads were there far before roads were built to cross them.

What if the city built a road across the driveway leading up to your trailer. How would you feel if the city then said you were responsible for installing lights and crossing protection.

And no...for the most part...railroads cannot afford in today's environment to install the signals.

  • @coashddjj2 I think the city should pay for the crossing safety devices if they want to go and build a road across the tracks.

  • everyone!!!!! let me finish the part that was cut off ahem...BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

  • Lol.

  • paying attention would be cheaper

  • I meant the guy in the truck

  • is that guy dead?

  • I still can't figure out why there are RR crossings without gates. Relying strictly on a crossbuck just doesn't cut it, as this video shows. Sometimes people aren't paying attention, maybe they've got the radio on -- whatever. It doesn't mean they deserve to potentially lose their life getting hit by a train. I hope everyone was OK in this video.

  • Let me help you figure it out....cost. Gated railroad crossings run around $250k USD to install. Some much more.

In North America there are tens of thousands of crossings. Some, such as the rural crossing in this video, see only light vehicular traffic.

The question becomes...who funds the protection at these crossings for the very few idiots who don't pay attention.

  • @coashddjj2 Because having gates that need to be repaired etc 1000km from the nearest major city is stupid. The truck should have slowed down to a point he could have stopped, it's like a give way sign. Natural selection works. Don't molly coddle these people, let them wipe themselves out so we don't have to spend time pandering to the lowest common denominator.

  • @coashddjj2 Do you realize how many RR crossings there are in the US? The cost of putting up gates at every crossing would not be economical. Besides, local government's decide whether or not gates are necessary, because they have to pay for them. Is it too much to ask that drivers on the road pay attention?

  • @coashddjj2 Wrong. Crossbuck signs are enough warning. Gates are very expensive and require maintenance.

    Can't protect against idiotruckers.

    Did the idiot survive?

    Why only 6 seconds?

  • amazing truck driver...can't see or hear a like TRAIN coming...

  • Stoped in time.....ROFL!!

  • KABLAMOOO!

  • Wow that absolutely sucks. People that have grown up around here have probably never seen a crossbucks only sign in their entire lives and wouldn't even know how to handle it. (Not saying that's what happened with this trucker since I'm sure he had to be certified, etc. and knew the law.)

  • STOP STOP STOP!!!

  • You is a big giant moran

  • that train stopped just in time...wow.

  • the train didnt stop. the impact of the train hitting the truck must have turned the recorder off.

  • loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • i agree

  • BOOSH!

  • You saw that too??!!

    BOOSH!

    My new favorite

  • you dident let me see the whole video

  • People need to start obey these crossing signal more,i don't know why.

  • Oh f**k!

  • WTF that it?

  • he would have been better if he keep going then the train would have hit the trailer or it would be close

  • WTF BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

  • Where's the crunch???

  • And:

    HEADSHOT!

  • You missed the, "BOOM" part of that.. :/

  • @RoyFan33 True, true. Lately, BOOM-HEADSHOT is very popular :)
