Is there any tiny little teeny chance that I could make it through medical school or pre-med classes if I'm not good at math I want be a orthopedic surgeon but I'm nervous about that help plz.
@1awkwardgirl yo in my school we have only 3 subject wich is mostly math based, biophysics, biochem, physiology but the math is really easy and nothing to worry about! youll do fine! :D
I am a junior in high school and I'm thinking about attending medical school in the future. Do you have any suggestions of what I should major/ minor in college?
Hey, im in my first year pre med. Finishing up my first semester, and I was wondering what chemistry class I need to take in my second year ?? a little big confused on that.
You are awesome! I hope that you are able to learn the material sufficiently to have confidence in your medical knowledge and not have worries when you are in your medical career as a doctor of medicine! Make sure that you ignore anybody that is negative toward you that doesn't support your medical goals. People can be mean sometimes! You can get your MD! Remember to keep grammar in mind and think think completely through all important medical things! Be patient!
@MsNintendogs med school is competitive with so many qualified applicants applying every year. to be considered competitive, you need to maintain at least a 3.5 and 30 mcat score with the average being a 3.62 GPA and 31 mcat for accepted students.
@MsNintendogs High school grades does not matter at all during med school application but you want to keep your high school grades up to get into a decent college.
@policex78 osteopathic is a medical school one graduates as a DO.. the other option is allopathic which is MD... DO's are easier to get into in the way of numbers (ie lower GPA and MCAT)... when you apply you can apply to as many schools as you want in either allopathic or osteopathic programs
I'm keeping my options open and I took the MCAT just in case I end up deciding I want to go to Medical school. I got a 33. To be honest I just took it without knowing much about it, I've been a little embarrassed to ask my friends but since it's anonymous here I was wondering is that score any good or should i consider doing it again?
Hey, what did you major in at college? I hope you keep posting. I'm semi-seriously considering going into a medical field, and hearing from current med students would be really helpful! Do you know what kind of doctor you want to be?
