I recently had to have a tooth removed because it was causing terrible pain. I do not have insurance because I am self-employed and cannot afford it. Now, due to the costs of consultation and removal, I can't afford to pay a few bills. It starts a circle of debt in late fees and always being in a state of "catching up." I probably wouldn't have had to had the tooth removed if I had been to a dentist in the past 10 years, but we Americans don't seem to understand the concept of preventative care.

I recently had to have a tooth removed because it was causing terrible pain. I do not have insurance because I am self-employed and cannot afford it. Now, due to the costs of consultation and removal, I can't afford to pay a few bills. It starts a circle of debt in late fees and always being in a state of "catching up." I probably wouldn't have had to had the tooth removed if I had been to a dentist in the past 10 years, but we Americans don't seem to understand the concept of preventative care.

It is good to see money used for health facilities and technology here in the U.S. It's good to see funds spent for citizens ( whose tax dollars have rescued the CEOs of Wall Street) It's time we in "main street" see our taxes come home to do good in our communities.
