what-ever happen to cape horn yachts???? can't find a website or updates on the company, i did hear a couple years ago they were looking at building in turkey
I have been through some nasty Gulf of Lyon crossings with PanPan messages all over the place and one sailboat with 4 souls lost, and Devils Advocate took it all in her stride..we recorded winds of 72 knots :)
Yes I heard about Eden Bound in Phuket. Devils Advocate (formerly Lords Warrior) is probably the safest ship in the Med and after a large refit in 2010 in better than new condition. Not one single speck of rust in the deepest bilge :)
Every technical unit, engines, generators, AC, electricals, new passerelle, new crane, new electronics, teak etc all either serviced or renewed.
Peter Sever gets credit for the video, as well as the yachts ;-)
While I look forward to seeing yours, the video I want to see is of the Cape Horn that was in Phuket during the tsunami - rolled and self-righted!
I have numerous Cape Horn survival testaments where owners felt if not for a Cape Horn, life and/or property would have been seriously damaged or lost. Too bad none were captured on video. Let me know if you want the stories some day.
Hi Charles - I have no doubt your Cape Horn 75 will take you anywhere in any seas. Cape Horn's motto "First in Safety, Safety First" didn't incorporate the phrase, "and in comfort and luxury too!"
I look forward to seeing your video. You have a great ship - enjoy!
Hi, I have the Cape Horn 75 the "escaped" to Monaco.
She is virtually in as new condition and totally identical to this one (from the video, I can even see she in not mine) - same displacement of 366.000lbs but with a shorter transom.
Have sailed her through force 8-9 in the Med and she behaved just as perfectly and safely.
I shall make a video of her and post it, when we take her out for antifouling sometime next month.
Judy, what a tease this video is. I have followed Cape Horn pretty much from peter's begining. I wish I could afford one but not at this time. Do you have more video to upload?

Unfortunately I don't have more videos. M/V Cowboy, a CH 65. was recently seen on the intro scenes to a CSI Miami show.
Keep saving - one day a 10% deposit will buy you a sea trial and a survey and you can post your own video ;-)
