  • i had a merle dog and he was dumb as a brick. He chased cars

  • Jimi who?

  • 2:35 Jimmy is playing with a glass slide, you can see the reflection.

    2:40 The slide has disappeared.

    Black magic, I tell you!

  • @rawoofi you're right!

  • Yes...very good...

  • id sell my soul yesterday to play like jimmy....

  • Mike Vick disliked this 35 times

  • Led Zeppelin lives 3

  • Diggin' Bonzo tossing the harmony on there !! Never knew he sang.

  • Fucking people! stop clapping and listen instead!!

  • @daggergblue yeah, that's probably why they don't want to do as much reunion stuff. It's not the same without Bonzo.

  • It's very unfair to say that Jimmy is Zeppelin. Sure Jimmy came up with most of the material, and he plays every instrument he touches very well. But, the cool thing about the band is that everyone brings something to the table wether it be Plant amazing vocals, Jonesy's groovy bass or Bonzo's thundering drums.

  • @iamthewintertime this is why when they lost one member, led Zeppelin ceased to exist.

  • Page IS Zeppelin

  • Hi everyone, if you have a spare minute can you please check out my cover of this song as i am 15 years old and would be very gratefull if you left a comment and maybe subscribed. Thanks =)

  • WAIT! what instrument is John Paul Jones playing??

  • @JaneandJanineDancing Upright Bass...

  • @TheOfficialRNP :P thanks...

  • @TheOfficialRNP Awesome right?

  • @JaneandJanineDancing I think that's electric double bass...

  • @luigifromderfla oh ok. well you and @TheOfficialRNP are probably both right :) since i don't know much about bass guitars, i'll take y'alls word for it :D

  • Deze is tof, maar INAGADDADAVIDA is nog beter, zeker met de drumsolo !

  • Plant never gets enough credit. Check out what a charismatic showman he is here. So natural, so in the moment. Love it

  • JIMMY PAGE THE MASTER!!!

  • @Matkillzin He is the greatest... no question.

  • GREAT, GREAT group. Saw'em in 1977 at the Forum in Los Angeles. I still have all their vinyl too!

  • So many things to love about this. I'm going to go for Bonzo singing along. :)

  • the lyrics are: "c'mon c'mon now let me tell you, what your missin' missing round those brick walls!"

  • @MrRazpaz "MESSING ROUND THOSE BRICK WALLS"

  • 2:44 "C'mon, c'mon little baby Timmy what you're missing round is Rick Roll'd" ?

  • I'm sorry, but did he say "Strider", just a few seconds before this ended?

  • @cmoore56 Yes, that was the name of Plant's dog - the blue-eyed merle the song is about.

  • @cmoore56 Yup, Strider was the name of his blue-eyed merle (dog).

  • Let's hope the guitar is 18

  • i luv them !!! music GODS

  • Listen to the crowd clapping along. Never heard such an involved audience!

  • Wicked Guitarist!

  • Led Zeppelin had the best Live performance of all time period.

  • To all of you haters who are saying this isn't actually acoustic, or this isn't Led Zeppelin, you are completely wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If I could go back in time and write any song, this would be it. Fucking Amazing!

  • Best. Fucking. Song. EVER.

  • So freakin' awesome.

  • Geez they always cast Jones in the back most of the time, did page and plant hate that guy or what

  • @streetparade He actually sings along with Robert in quite a few songs eg. Tangerine and Whole Lotta Love :)

  • Bonzo's damn good singing on this!

@ 1:46 does our enigmatic guitar hero actually open his mouth in front of a microphone??? James got carried away there for a second!

  • How can people dislike this. Seriously?

  • 34 people can get Bron-Yr-Aur Stomped.

  • RIP Bert Jansch!

  • see this if or or... well thanks

GARY MOORE - BLOOD OF EMERALDS, Polish Tribute to the Irish Guitar Legend

  • see his if or or... well thanks

  • "Bron-Yr-Aur means golden breast in welsh

  • Zep fans who bitch about the stuff Plant is doing with Alison Krauss and his last album need to listen to this song then shut the fuck up

  • When you're old and your eyes are dim,

There ain't no old Vevo gonna use you for advertising again

  • a little bit like going to my hometown,,, well i got the same feeling with it :) great stuff

  • John Paul Jones 8==========> Stand up Bass? :O

  • This ain't a hoedown its a fuckin hootenany!!! I love this song :D

  • Saw them play this a Sydney Showground. Still the finest thing I have ever seen!

  • MARACAS!!!

  • Jimmy Page- Noun-English~ 1: a word used to describe the best fucking guitar player of all time. - most similar word: God of Rock & Roll.

Im only 15 but this beats all that rap shit! Wish this was still around :)

  • @suthrnboy8 This kind of music is still around mate but you got to search it out. All you have to do is remember Led Zep became famous because of their fans in the early years :)

There are a lot of excellent up and coming bands these days who might not be famous yet but their music is amazing. Step outside the box and go where your heart feels happy and not with the cheap thrills of been part of a crowd :)

    Peace

  • Question: Did they have acoustics with built in pick ups yet in 75?

  • bonzo sings pretty good...

  • you are my hero for finding this video. that is my favorite led zeppelin song and i'm a true fan. love your taste. you have truely made my day. thank you

  • is that black mt rag

  • I like the album version best.

  • bohnams got backup vocals.

  • Mur-Kur... wait what

  • I wish I had a dog.

  • thank got there is youtube..... this is zoooo naice

  • Zep were to the 70s what the Beatles were to the 60s.

  • WONDERFUL

  • why i am born in 1990's !!!!!!!

  • @hachinthebeat cos god hates us :(

  • Unbelievable

  • love it how they made country in this song sooo...amazing

  • @intheband14 I wouldn't call this country. It's more like Folk Rock

  • @Jasonconfused there we go. Thats what i was looking for. i still LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

  • @intheband14 This ain't country

  • Comment removed

  • @intheband14 Nope it tis Folk

  • @kildare97 That isnt strictly true...there is a lot of chicken picking and blues involved so to label it Folk is wrong :)

    Peace

  • @RumbleGuts2112 its almost closer to bluegrass in style, which is awesome :)

  • @kildare97 it's just Zeppelin . That's the only category they can fit in . Not folk , not heavy metal , not classic rock , not progressive , just Zeppelin

  • it's oh, so fine! - so happy there's a great live version - thank-you for posting

  • This song make me think of my late Chocolate Lab Cocoa..she used to love to listen to Zep with me..PEACE

  • i wrote my own guitar solo kinda like the studio version of this. please listen to it and give me feedback.

  • This is FAR better than anything on pop radio right now!

  • @CheapSushi well this is actually a mix between great technique and taste of music. Pop radio now is always either one or the other : a great musician writes shit to please as much people as he can and crappy musicians have often good ideas.

  • Led Zeppelin Rules!!

  • Led Zeppelin loved Wales, they said in one of their interviews it was much nicer than england or any other country, so peacful and free... so proud to be welsh :D

  • @JordanEvans3794 their house, bron-yr-aur ( translated golden hill ) was there ;P they recorded most of their songs there, they say if you stay there, you become a poet, you get mad, or you die xD lol.

  • @championofhardrock i just looked it up, over the hills and far away... STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN... they were all recorded or writen in wales :)

  • @JordanEvans3794 yea :) led zeppelin 3 and 4 were ! its in the biography of led zeppelin .. did you read it ? its interesting!

  • Mike The mike!

  • This is accoustic at its best

  • I must say Faernta -- brilliant comment. But of course HAD your parents fuc... er, made love earlier, it wouldn't have been YOU that was born. Who knows? It could have been another Hitler! So thank god they held off and you were the result instead -- someone with great musical taste. The fact that neither you nor I got to see Zep live was just a result of bad timing for both of us, hey? Cheers and best wishes to you.

  • There is a double DVD you can get at Walmart for 20$ with over 5 and a half hours of footage from Royal Albert hall, earls court, Madison square garden and nebworth! And more! Best DVD ever trust me!! Awesome

  • @mroland17 It's just called Led Zeppelin DVD

    I think :)

  • i wish somoene could fricken teach me this song ive tried everyone and the only people who know how to do it right dont show you how its tickin me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!>:(

  • @Varsity11081 i got it from an online tab. mainly i got the tuning (CFCFAF for the studio version) and kinda figured out the rest. play it open, then bar the 3rd and 5th fret. also you bar the 2nd and 4th in the verses. youll figure it out :P

  • I'm no spring chicken, I'm 48, but never had the chance to see Zep live. I remember climbing to the top of a 70 foot tall pine tree on an island in Massachusetts and listening to this song and others on a Sony Walkman! Smoking a little MJ and lying in the sun! Good Times!

  • my buddy almost blew the backseat out of his car when we cranked this one on the stereo! Way back in the 80's

  • 1 of the only bands that sound better live

  • What I wouldn't give to be at the Earl's Court in '75....

  • VERY GOOD

  • i wish some of these videos showed more footage of JPJ, You hardly ever see him.

  • This is the best audience clapping along recording ever

  • nobody cares when a black man borrows from another black man; but once a white man does it and is successful with it all of the sudden it's the end of the world.. go figure

  • Sometimes, i fantasize about Jimmy Paige being my father..... then i start to cry

  • @suthrnboy8 i'm to

  • led zeppelin

  • I LUV THIS SHIT !!! IIIIIIIIIIII LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT !!!

  • The first tme I heard this song I thought he said Blue eyed girl!lol! Had to bury my german shepard yesterday and I named him Stryder. Listen for me boy, I be calling your nameeven if you weren't a blue eyed merle collie. Your were the best dog and this my best tribute to our 14 years together! Thanks Robert, Jimmy , Bonhamn & Jonsey! 4-ever in my heart! Zepplin still kicks ass 30 years going strong! Love Ya!

  • @sexxxxgodesss22hot - one love mate. dogs be humans best friends and yeah,Led Zeppelin will ALWAYS stay king !!!

  • ..Led Zeppelin....not heavy metal...more blues based....''hammer of the gods'' i think not....good guitarist ,but, not metal.....they did alot of ''covers'' they'll never admit it..but they did

  • @stewgotz1 You are uninformed sir...

  • @beggindogs Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands of all time, however stewgotz1 is right.

  • @DrPrice1968 yes bluesy, because many British musicians wanted to emulate the blues guitar style--As to not admitting to covers, that's just bullshit--Songs like 'You Shook Me' & 'Bring It On Home' are listed on the albums as Willie Dixon songs, who also wrote some of these you might recognize from other bands' 'admitted' covers. "Little Red Rooster", "Hoochie Coochie Man", "Spoonful", "Back Door Man", "I Just Want to Make Love to You", "Wang Dang Doodle" ;)

  • @beggindogs Ok. for a second I thought you were the uninformed one.

  • @stewgotz1 they will never admit it lol who told these facts

  • Man Mr Page you are a guitar GOD

  • Strider!

  • @colgaaa What's the meaning of "strider", why does he cry it?

  • @eshneto

it was his dog, whom he loved very much, the song is about the dog

  • @eshneto it was his dog's name. This song is about this dog, a collie, who was with plant and jimmy page at Bron-Yr-Aur when they composed this song

  • @colgaaa кrly?

  • @colgaaa rly?

  • @mironicustube Yes, and in the book "Shadows taller than our souls" there's a passage that says that when Plant was asked about this song, he answered : "It's about a dog that refuses to be bathed, washed, brushed, and spends a lot of time doing nothing".

  • @colgaaa I knew it! hahhahha i could tell when plant says "aint no companion like a blue eyed merle" that it was about a collie. It also it explains why my collie loves this song so muchlol.

  • beiber got jealous and disliked this song 29 times

  • @hattymccowboy

seriously? this on a Zeppelin video???

  • @hattymccowboy

The obligatory monkey see monkey do comment. A personality seems to have escaped you.

  • Bonham's face on 2:17. At the start of the middle eight.

  • Where is JPJ?

  • @DESchneyer89

singing, he didnt want alot attention apparntly in his words

  • @LotusOfficial No, he's playing the upright bass (an electric one, though), you can see him at one point. That's Robert and Bonzo singing.

  • I love how stoned plant and page look, especially at the beginning. And how gay plant looks in this video (I know he's not, I'm just sayin').

  • jimmy plaggeerson

  • *the like button click before Pagey even has started to play*

  • Man why didn't my parents fuck earlier so i had the chance to watch led live....

  • @Faernta My thoughts exactly.

  • @Faernta best comment EVER on you tube. im diyin over here

  • @Faernta Hahahahaha !! You're Hilarious !!

  • @Faernta ahahahah! I wish I was born when my dad was 9 and my mum wasn't even born...they definitely couldn't fuck then! ;)

  • @Girlabc123 hahah, never say never ;)

  • @Faernta hahahah! ;)

  • @Faernta Hey I love that !!!!

  • Respond to this video... I loved them back then ...and love them still now....

  • @Faernta cause then you'd be my age, 55, and wishin you were 25 and knowin all you knew now

  • @fonz9456 Haha, that's so cynical.

  • @Faernta I was...wouldn't change a thing my friend.

  • @Faernta LMAO i asked God the same thing everyday

  • the solo is amazing

  • 28 people can sucks farts out of my ass.

  • This song makes me happy!!!!!

  • I wish this video kept playing, they were just getting started on Travelling Riverside Blues.

  • @AdairSinclair its in my time of dying you must have confused the titles because the two songs have nothing to do with each other

  • @10004m Those two songs have more in common than you think. They are both from the deep south of America and both of the songs utilize finger slides. But I didn't confuse the titles.

  • @AdairSinclair i see what you mean listening again the way he starts the song here that you can have confused with travelling riverside blues but the song itself has a considerable different rhythm than travelling....but any way i can assure you that its in my time of dying here

  • @LotusOfficial, thanks, i forgot to add Floyd in there when i made my account.

  • Best song ever written about a dog.

  • @LedZeppQueenBeatles

u have a badass username sir

  • they are your overlords

  • Just listening to this song makes me feel cool, Imagine how they felt playing it.

  • Page made that acoustic his bitch..

  • clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap

  • Black magic.

  • A great guitarist is one who can play acoustic just as well as they can electric guitar. I love Jimmy page's acoustic work just as much as his electric guitar work. The man is a true musician.

  • @dpramirez66 his acoustic playing might be better man...have to wonder after seeing this

  • @4runner39 I would agree with you there. I think that a lot of his acoustic work isn't as well known.

  • magician!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!jimmy

  • this song is so fine

  • fuckin brilliant,guitar is brilliant!

  • Jimmy page kills it freaking freestyler boss!! :o

  • I love how Jimmy could change speeds so effortlessly as he picks it!
