coe u should make a few snow golems and place fences around them outside that way you don't have to worry about mobs sneaking up on you. also only some structers are hollow. You should also try finding more structures because they have alot to offer, portal to the end is one.

This is not the structure you are looking for... :P

You where just unlucky in finding a nether fortress without a nether wart building. I had dig 300 some blocks from my second "wart-less" structure to find one with the right buildings in it. it looks like a large intersection segment, but with just nether fence and a two wide stairway in the center (Shroom Again part 2, about 3 mins in). I also discovered that blazes can spawn on nether brick too, which is a little inconvenient at times.

Usually if a nether structure has a wall made of netherrack you can dig through it and find another room.

Docm77 had the same problem with villagers; I guess one of the pre-releases respawned them so they ran away.

Doc fixed his village by deleting the village chunks in mcedit and letting them respawn along with the villagers - he made a video about it.

He also boxed them in with some fence so they couldn't run away again.

I've investigated the structures before. None of the pillars are hollow. Also, there is at least one room you missed. It should be set up the same in every nether fortress. A stairwell with nether stairs that leads to a room that contains soul sand with nether wart planted on it. And around the area there are a number of windows with the nether fence in them. Hope you find it.

Coe, if you move your bookcases, try to get a silk touch tool so you don't waste all the wood. The silk touch gives you the bookcase block, but breaking it only gives you 3 books.

You could possibly dig out the stone above where the wooden "supports" are now? Just a suggestion. Also, if you haven't already, you may want to go and fill in that hole you dug in the Nether bridge - that's something you don't want to forget about when walking along it. :P

Never would I ever diss any choice you've made in your series, sir. But, I would like to recommend that you give the Goldmund album Famous Places a listen. While it is not the electronic beauty that your sped-up building segments are used to I think that you will find the piano music to complement a sunny day of fast forward building quite nicely. Not to mention a lot of it resembles the Minecraft soundtrack as it is. Just wanted to spill some thought!

Now i wonder, what was the quest REALLY about?
