Is she singing with auto-tune? It seems the robotic style of singing has been around for a long time. I love the Eurythmics.

@vidform auto tune didn't exist in 1984. and anyway autotune alters the singer's voice by way of those electric warblings you hear in auto tune. if anything annie is using or a harmonizer which duplicates her voice with an eerie electric sound. the difference is that autotune alters the voice while the harmonizer lies under the voice not altering it but simply duplicating it.

An amazingly beautiful song that I played repeatedly when I first bought the (vinyl) soundtrack. Then (as now) Annie Lennox's vocals are stunning. I've always liked her androgynous looks. She has such a beautiful face that the short hair cuts accentuate all those angles.

I don't remember this getting airplay at all, and I'm not surprised- it would have been totally out of place, and not the best context to appreciate it in anyway.
