I don't know that much about computers, but I had heard something about this method before. I tried time and time again and followed your exact instructions in the video on a my mac laptop (that the school kindly installed a filter on). Now.. it's working but not really. For some reason, no matter what website I "ping" (Youtube, Grooveshark, ect.), I continue to be sent to Google.com. The numbers are different everytime, and still, I'm only sent to google. Any ideas as to why?

You know, an easier way of doing this would be just to VPN home and bypass filters that way.

Websense blocks sites directly from their ip. So, this will not work.

@123harjit321 make it an executable batch file. Really easy. just type the commands into a notepad doc, and save it with .bat at the end instead of .doc, .txt, or .rtf (the usuall default)

Well, since my school is a Catholic School... they really take censorship seriously... -_-

I tried this and it didn't work... but I soon found another way... (this doesn't work on all filters)

1. On a webpage right-click and "view source"

2. Go to Notepad and paste the info.

3. Save it as ".html"

4. Right click the file and select "open with"

5. Choose the Internet option

hey man i tried that on my linux and so far it seems to work also if your wondering on what a linux is it's like mac and windows combinned but most windows software dont run that well on it

well my around it works at my school, they must use different filters at yours and others

for the people who say cmd is block

1)open notepad

2)type: @echo off  start

3)save as a .bat file under all files

4)open it and enjoy

and note while this is a good way to unlock sites it wont always work so don't complain and search for another way

good idea but i got all the way to the part of the ip then after that its blocked coz i've found heaps of working proxies but none of them have java script for runescape theirs hide my add hide my tail guard tunnle they all work for everything but runescape
