I totally agree, however why skip the middle steps that will make lots of profits for the oil companies? we still have to go through the small oil supply and the big oil demand and high prices. Human race sucks... If only we invested all those money to research energy sources OTHER that oil products we could find a way to convert even dirt to energy, but no (we want lots of money although when we die nothing matters anyway)...

One hilarious bit of meta-propaganda (not evident from any particular clip featured here) is that all of these came from before 1970, the point where US oil production peaked. The cartoon in particular suggested it'd grow forever. No wonder that people nowadays can't seem to wrap their head around the concept of "non-renewable" resources.

I will put a sarcasm notation next time but I didn't think I had to because its common knowledge how destructive oil is to ocean life. The video above is labeled "Oil Propaganda" which means oil lies, most would have known that to be a lie but now you know. Oil & pollution are causing the entire ocean to go from an alkaline state to acid, sea life is becoming weaker & diseased as a result. Shell is the name of one of the big oil Companies, hence Shell Oil

The companies are not greedy. They have not always made money either. They are successful at what they do. If there were more refineries to produce the gasoline from oil, then more gasoline would be on the market. Currently, we consume more oil than we can physically produce.

If someone discovers, and is able to manufacture mass amounts of an alternative fuel and transportation source, then they might start making a lot of money themselves.

Oil companies are still employing propagandanists to deny climate change. And car companies, as we all know, are still producing propaganda to sell oil-consuming machines we don't really need. Exxon Mobil is guilyt of the murder of the planet, a crime as evil as the Holocaust, but much greater in scope. The Iraq war is over oil, and all wars use oil.
