  • el nombre d ela cancion porfavorrr

  • @dirrtyrobert mambo a la sandoval

  • I think the same, even ernesto & maritza are better than luis & anya

  • You Guys are amazing, I know that you are reading this Luis!

We hope to see you guys this year in Las Vegas!

    atte:

    Celso & Alejandra(:

  • The name of song please?!?!?woow amaziing!

  • 1: DAVID & PAULINA

    2: OLIVER & LUDA

    3: LUIS & ANYA

I agree this is the most correct positioning.

  • @caravanio sorry that your couple didn't win...

  • I agree with what seems like the majority here. Oliver or David should have taken this. of course there are things that judges see that we don't that will decide competitions at this level but I see some good out of this. Oliver, along with a few other couples, have been sitting on top for a while now and if you look at their videos they seem to be taking fewer risks, doing a lot of the same signature moves, and generally playing it safe. A kick in the butt will make next year more interesting.

  • Thanks for all your comments folks, really I am truly sorry that your couple didn't win but there is always a next time...

Gracias a todos los que siempre han apoyado al estilo de Luis y Anya...

Appreciate dance and understand that dance has evolved...

  • PARA MI LOS CAMPEONES DEBIERON HABER SIDO DAVID Y PAULINA O TAL VEZ OLIVER Y LUDA NO ESTOS FARSANTES

  • NO KIDDING LUIS ARE GOOD BUT DAVID AND OLIVER ARE BETTER

    DAVID & PAULINA 1ST

    OLIVER & LUDA 2ND

    LUIS & ANYA 3RD

  • malos, bad, thirth place! not 1st

  • could someone knows the name of this song please or the orquesta

  • I liked Oli and Luda much better. I find both Oli and Luis to be better dancers than Luda and Anya. Luda seems a bit stiff on the legs to me and Anya just looks like she's not fast and agile enough. They are in the top ranks for sure anyway.

  • PERDONENME PERO PARA MI LOS CAMPEONES MUNDIALES DE LA SALSA SON OLIVER PINEDA Y LUDA KROITOR AHI ESTUVIERON MAL LOS JUECES POR QUE ELLOS SI LE PUSIERON SABOR Y MUCHA TECNICA..

  • Pure dancing. amazing. I wish that dancers could step back away from critique and just appreciate eachother. We all get so used to seeing sooooo much talent we stop seeing it from and audience perspective. This is beautiful, amazing and well deserved. inspiring.

  • There is so much talking about which one you guys like better but none of you knows how the points are calculated by the judging panel. Timing accounts for 20%, level of difficulty is another 20%.

Luda is not only off-timing on many sections but she also taking extra steps that brings her score lower; count while you are watching her feet closely and you'll see. Luis and Anya's timing is impeccable, never a beat off, never an extra step...

  • Also, it is really not difficult to do the fancy things that Oliver does when you are actually NOT moving; they stay in place, they don't go anywhere, as where Luis & Anya are constantly dancing the floor and doing all the tricks while traveling the stage; that is a little more difficult than all the fancy Oliver stuff. and I read somewhere that there where "many" misconnections, there was only one, not sure what else you are seeing there.

  • And I don't know what Luda was thinking with that feather custome but, Anya's kicks ass and, that accounts for 10% of stage presence. Luis and Oliver have very different stage presence, both are very professional and top-notch therefore the score goes pretty even there and, since Anya's stage presence doesn't compare to Luda's, there you have the remaining winning points...

  • I agree with ironvic217. O&L are definetely more talented but this couple danced their hearts out. You can see the ballroomy arm extensions and points in this routine a lot. However I think the judges tend to favor that sort of dancing. I don't like Luis's posture. I think Stein had the same problem early in his career but has since vastly improved. Did I hear he was from Nicaragua? Go Central Americans, congrats to Cristian (Salvadorian)!

  • Watched all the videos. No one is more cleaner than this couple. No one is more connected. No one dances even close to how these two dance. Their connection, musicality, lines, everything is flawless. An inspiration. The winner where APPROPRIATELY allocated. There is a huge difference between dancing and executing. THIS is an example of dancing. Simply beautiful!

  • i thought they smashed this routine ... loved the leg kick by Anya ...imo it could have gone either way .. i really liked this routine from them however.

  • Luis and Anya Yall ripped it. Congrats love you guys and hope to see yall soon.

    Rob of Art In Motion.

  • Neither of d top 2 were crispy clean wich makes the balance swing both ways. On that note, CONGRATS TO LUIS AND ANYA! My personal opinion is that in the future they should at least try to get judges that are exchampions or at least top 3, and never ever ever put two or three judges from the same town or state where any of the competitors are from.

Oliver/Luda your skills are still top notch but do yourselfs a favor nextime, "pick a better song" that killed you!!!

  • Wow - how many points were the disconnects and the stumbles worth near the end of the routine?

And I'm sorry, it did look a bit too ballroomish in parts... yes, Oli & Luda can do too, but that's mainly in their posture, slick lines, neat feet, appearance and grace.

This routine had "ballroom" looking elements and sections in it, as well as some traditional salsa styles too.

  • @SalsaConnection

Please don't get me wrong - these guys (Luis & Anya) are brilliant and would certainly kick my arse, but .. in my opinion Oli & Luda deserved to win. Better "feel", better musicality and interpretation, much better ending and had more "spunk" to their routine. As I said above - credit to Luis & Anya - I could not do better... but this is my opinion.

  • @SalsaConnection

Absolutely agree with you. Brilliant couple!! .. But their routine its not so musically connected and so attractive as Oliver and Luda. When i watch them i was thinking omg 1st place got to be awesome. But Sorry guys nothing personal just liked more Oliver and Luda performance and appearance.

  • i don't like it :S

  • Luis is not just very good but a very masculine dancer. I would like to believe that the judges also made a statement that the heavy ballroom influence and posture/speed/tone is watering down the raw nature of salsa and went with what is truer to the art form. Oliver and Luda are incredible but like many have a heavy ballroom tone which is a great part of winning comps but doesnt always lend itself to the roots of rumba and heart of the dance.

  • @cursedbat 1) Just because someone's "bigger built" so has more "presence" shouldn't win them the cup!!

    2) surely you're not trying to say Luis and Anya's has no ballroom influence and it's all cuban?!...I couldn't agree more with SalsaConnection's comment below

  • @tubeflashinko on the contrary I wouldnt say any of these couples looks like they have real Cuban flavor. In fact in the salsa scene as far as these competitions its hard to think of many competitors that have REAL soul. If you look at the dance world not the competition scene there are so many people who dance any particular style with a truth to it that reveals something about the human condition. These dancers all look like they are doing coreo.

  • "Luda looks way sloppy in lots of places". Excuse me, exactly which place? When? Minute/ second please? To me Oli and Luda's musicality is way better. Salsa is salsa not ballroom, the other couple dance like in a ballroom competition! Not my fav!

  • @bboydubc you couldn't have said it better .. thank you

  • @bilmer2009 O & L got what they deserved .. they got second

  • Increible!!! buenisimo!

  • Nineinchposer... there is no comparison between Anya and Luda. It is another entire level of class. This routine was full of originality and creative use of the floor WHILE doing the turn patterns, not everything in one place like Oliver/Luda's. Besides, Oliver/Luda also had some troubled connections. Even field. The combined level of pure DANCING here was just higher. O&L, just speed. Luis proved his philosophy. Glad the judges saw it.

  • @bboydubc ...err... think you got the names mixed up! 1) there's a lot of mis-connections in this performance, ending wasn't right either and not as musical as the other couple! 2) as for pure dancing, you couldn't possibly compare Oliver's precise mambos and feet work to Luis

not saying Luis and Anya's was bad, it's just that Oliver and Luda's was so much more clean, precise and musical. Just because someone's "bigger built" so has more "presence" shouldn't win them the cup!!

  • @bboydubc as for very obvious unmissable mis-connections in this routine, guess you must have been napping between 1:55-1:59 and also the finish

  • @tubeflashinko Errr... didn't you see what I said? I said they both have issues but the overall dancing on Luis/Anya was better. I did see this part, which was the one mistake.

I have to admit though, I made a mistake and compared this to Oli/Luda semifinal routine... their final routine was even WORSE (from a judging perspective). It is now more obvious why they lost. 1:10-1:14 is the sloppiest I've seen them do that pattern. 1:21-1:31 Luda looks horrible plus wtf is that at 1:34.

  • @bboydubc you must have something personal against Luda... I do think she lacks a bit fluidity in her movements which might be from not breathing through diaphragm (unstable core)...anyway the point is at 1:34 all I see is Luda's ass which doesn't look out of place, what else did you expect to see at that point?? as for 1:21-1:31 Luda looks fine & is being led by both arms so again you must be talking about another clip. I do agree that I have seen them do that pattern at 1:10-1:14 better

  • Nineinchposer... You do realize Oliver and luda's routine was just fast... Luda looks way sloppy in lot of places. Her legs and everything, it was just too fast to dance it "beautifully" for her. A couple patterns for Oliver as well look sloppy because of the speed - the patterns came out looking a bit awkward since they were rush executed. Anya and Luis were slower and extremely sharp. The combined level of dancing was just higher and more unique routine. Anya - Luda... No comparison.

  • Oliver & Luda won this contest. I like Luis a lot but you can see disconnects in the routine and it wasn't as sharp or creative. Well, this is probably why you don't see many of the really great dancers in these contests.

  • go anya y luis!!!!!!!!!

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • First in the on2 division

  • which place ?

  • @bilmer2009 1st place on2 division .. 2 years ina row

  • @DitaKR thank you :) alright oliver and luda are which place now? i know they came first in semifinal but i don't know about final.
