@nexusone1984 its considered an original because the guy who plays wilfred (jason) is actually the creator of both the American and Australian versions therefore its not someone remaking the Australian show is more like the same show on a different network.

Second, original does not always mean `the first`, it also means `there is nothing like it at the moment` and since the Australian show isn`t on anymore there isn`t anything like it on tv at the moment, plus if it is the SAME show then it is the original. If it was a different show on a different network it wouldn`t be the original and also that is how i heard the creator explain it and he has the final say, don`t you think?.
