Howard Zinn fought in WWII. He was a professor at Spelman College, an all black women's college. He was active in the civil rights movement & inspired his students to engage in civil disobedience. He criticized the vicious & unjustified Vietnam War. He told the history of the United States as seen by women, minorities, slaves, union workers, immigrants, Indians.... He was a man of the people. He will live eternally in our hearts & minds as a man of courage and integrity.

'The Peoples History of the United States' is a must read for anyone interested in USA History.

History isn't a bunch of facts and timelines. It is the individuals who lived it, and recorded it themselves. Original documents are the best source of developing opinion on history.

What U construe as history is propaganda to glorify and give credit to so-called leaders.
