1997-2003 F150's were THE best, picked up a 1999 XL Single Cab, Short box, with the 4.2 and 220,000kms, and i love it!

Awesome job!!! I like watcing timelines.My 79 F250 was the best truck I ever had should have never got rid of it. Had a 03 F150 worst truck I ever had spitting out spark plugs from head and more. Glad the triton engines are gone. Hopefully the 5.0L & 6.2L stand the test of time then maybe I'll buy another ford. Like 70s 80s & 90s Don't really like new style F150 kind of odd looking front end.04>08 was nice style.

'87-'96 are my favorite look for any truck. it just really looks how a truck is supposed to look. '97-'03 comes in a close second. but really, ALL of the F-150 body styles look good to me.

of course, this doesn't mask that this is really a great truck. by far the best truck in America.

I am 16 years old. i worked on a cargo tralier all summer. i made a 3,500 $ profit. i bought a red F 150 xlt ext cab 302 v8, 5 spd manual, 4 10 gear ratios. it has the original engine with 220,000 miles. it runs amazing. not a dint on the body or a rip in the interior. i love it!!!!

Nice vid. I got a 02 ranger and my dad just got a 10 f150 that thing is bad ass. Anyway the first f series came out in 1948 but the first ford truck came out in like 1902

I bought a Dodge for my first truck and it was great, treated me so well. I just bought a 2010 F-150 last week and I love it. I think it's gorgeous, and hope it gets me to 168,000 miles as well as the Dakota did!

The Ford F-150 is a great truck and always has been nobody tops the F-150. My favorite model of the F-150 is the 1997-2003 but I think the new one looks great and will stir up something in the half ton truck market.

im not an expert, but a chop top, would be pretty costly, not because of the metal work, but because you have to get custom built windshields, etc, plus the chopped-roof, has to be professionally welded... so, it might be 5k... thats just an estimate

Here in the UK we have Vauxhall , which is GMs main brand. We get a few Chevys , but theyre not real Chevys, theyre re-badged Japanese cars. As I said you can get US cars from " specialist" US dealers , but generally over here folks are put off by the big ( to us ) US engines. We get a few US cars over here " officially " , but not many , various Jeeps , Chrysler 300 , Voyager and Neon , used to be able to get Buick Centurys. Also right hand drive Hummers are available. Thats about it.

Yeah, we get lots of Fords , theres lots of recent new models , mostly small cars and what they like to call " crossovers " appearing just lately. There are some curious re -badging excercises too with our Fords . Ford Mavericks , for example were actually re badged Nissans. Our Rangers are re badged Mazdas also ( is this the same in USA ? ) Over here 4x2 Rangers are only available in one version with a 2.5 4cyl diesel and manual. . Not bad little trucks , but thats the only option we get here!

Ford seem to do quite a bit of " badge -engineering" here in the UK. We used to have Ford Cargos inthe UK ( these are heavy trucks from 6 tons up to big rigs ). These were superb trucks , and "real" Fords. Then Ford started badging them as Ivecos ( still the same truck tho) . Ford then replaced them with the "Euro Cargo" ,which really were Ivecos , but they had both badges on them , Ford and Iveco side by side ! Eventually they dropped the Ford badge and now we have no Ford heavy trucks at all!

I like the first " rounded " off look , around 96 / 97, best , although I love them all , the square looking late 80s early 90s were nice too. I currently have a 98 ( single cab long bed v6 4x2 ) here in the UK. Previously had an 86 dually f350. Am thinking of having a brand new one soon but wont be parting with the current one , will be passing it onto my son. Love ford pickups , never had any problems with them , just put in gas and drive them ( i look after them ) . Cant fault them.

Officially Ford dont offer the F150 here in the UK but there are several dealers over here who specialise in US vehicles. One of these companies specialises in right hand drive Ford pickups , vans and Mustangs. I have always had US vehicles, ( have had Chevy vans as well as Fords over the years ). Its a pity US manufacturers dont offer more of their vehicles over here. I believe , with a decent state of the art diesel of 3 to 3.5 litres , F150 s would sell like crazy over here.

wrecked our '91 3 times, on the 3rd the impact was so hard it broke the leaf spring, pullin the axle to one side and pulling the shaft out of the tranny. new leaf spring and shaft back in place and it drove!
