My mom would always play this every night before my day would come home from work. Me and my sister would stand on the couch and sing then once my we saw our dad walking up! BAM! we were at the door. Memories <3
If only they still made REAL music these days like bands such as damn Yankees quiet riot twisted sister Aerosmith poison zeppelin, god why can't those days come back
Oh but i love these old songs, i have since i was a kid, i can sing, well i used to until cigarettes fucked up my voice. i HAD the original set and man i could belt out these songs so good, word of advice DONT SMOKE!!! I love this kind of music have since i was a kid, i wish i could have pursed music too late now.
ITS A SHAME, i was in a relationship for 6 years, thought i was gonna get married which was my dream. SADLY she fuckin tore me heart out and cheated on me, and now i live with regret each day and it sucks. Waking up each day walking this earth alone, missing what you had, and wondering if you will ever find love again. I hate it, why does life have to be so cruel. I fear i will die alone, it took me so long to meet someone the first time, i dont think i can ever again.

When I turned 22 years old, I was driving my mom to her doctors apointment. I said to my mom, Hey can you remember this song? I then played it and she just broke out in tears!! I LOVE YOU MOM YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH ALOT WITH ME!!!! I am sorry for the way I was when I was a teen!! Love you mom!!!
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
@TheShadow346 Yes it was!! I was born in 77 and remember the 80ies VIVIDLY. AWESOME TIME TO BE ALIVE. We had a president that got shit done, music that just kept coming out AWESOME! GOOD TIMES. If I had a time machine , 1984 would be my destination!
I was very fortunate to have grown up with music like this and the likes of bands like Boston, Journey, ELO, Whitesnake, Scorpions, etc.. Its an era gone by that will never have the likes of again. Its sad that the world doesnt know what really good music is anymore. With all the trash thats coming out now its no wonder the world is headed to the toilet as it is. I feel very lucky to have been apart of the actual music age.
@JapaNeeSee I know all of those bands... I love em all and yet I'm only 14 years old. I was born In the wrong time definitely. I remember driving through the mountains on a vacation when I was a kid with my parents. All of us were loudly singing this song happily as we drove. Good times.
I was sitting in my 18 year old daughter's bedroom 1 night, and she was playing some of her music that she'd downloaded, and all of a sudden she said here mom, don't go anywhere, i want u to listen to a song, and all of sudden she clicked on this song "High Enough". I just grinned from ear to ear, because she said, "mom i remember when u used to listen to this song & I loved it so much, I downloaded it for me & u both".I LOVE YOU MY DEAR SWEET JENNIFER, ANGELA & CHRIS , SO,SO MUCH !!!
@ilovecyjas11011 what a lovely sentiment and I see where your daughter learned it from. YOU and GOD did good! Wishing you all much happiness and peace.
I love this song. It reminds me of when I was little and my dad and I would get in the old truck and go out in the his and drive around listening to this song.
Night Ranger at the Eclipse Tour (Foreigner/Night Ranger/Journey) "I was speaking to my buddy Ted Nugent, and he said to play them a Damn Yankees song!" and they played this!
@MrGrunge1991 Yeah, I was born in '69 N consider myself EXTREMELY lucky!! Not that I don't think there's not some great music now, but there was SOOO much music N talented bands in that period, it was insane!!
Takes me back when I was a kid, inspired by our military heroism. I could remember the time when we were victorious in Desert Storm. It's songs like this that remind me of our nation's greatness.
@Agent1W Thank you...and you would be correct...I was in the Marines then...lol..and we used to party to this music...all the time...I especially remember when it was Preakness 91 or so....we rocked to this music and so music and so much more..that Preakness day...we took like 5 cases of beer, 20 sandwiches, sodas, about 40 joints...a 1/4 oz of coke and all was well...lol..I made out with like 10 diff women that day...it was s so much fun...
Well NEVER See a band stocked with as much talent as was Jam packed into this group ever again. Thank You Damn Yankies for providing me with the Sonic memories. :)
@azz75sl I was raised in the 60s,.I love this 80s music, but i never grew up,why?I dont want to miss all the fun!You are a great person, keep on rocking out!!!!
As much as I loved this damn yankee debut album, the second one was obviously influenced waaaaaaaaaaay to much by Ted Nugent. Hate to say it, but I never liked his musical style, and obviously the paying public agreed with me :-) That's why their second album bombed.
I agree with someone who said today is a good time to be able to experience so many different kinds of music. However, I also agree that the music of the past (pre-late 90's) was much better, overall. I listen to everything from metal to jazz, and NOBODY can beat the sounds of, say: Sinatra, The Platters, Chicago, America, Damn Yankees, Metallica, for general example.
i love this sooong... so beAutiful )) like like likeeeeeeeeee))))))))))))
