I've had this phone for 2+ years now and it's been reliable and solid. A dinosaur by todays standards but it's the right size, looks good, and gets the job done. My only complaint is trying to me calls; the dialer lags big time and often starts dialing someone you don't want to talk to, like your date from the night before, but by the time it responds to "end call" she's aleady answered. True story, very embarassing. Looks like I'll be finally replacing my Hero with an iPhone 4S.

Bad Phone. Slow, Never Updates correctly, unresponsive touchscreen and trackball, charger is shit (Sometimes doesnt charge), texting fails at any given time for no reason, camera is slow and also fails randomly, video is horrid, deletes pictures whenever it feels like it, drops calls, makes weird noises all the time, and finally has the worst speaker in all the land. this phone has an incredible difficult time deleting large threads of messages .

that must be the only problem i have with the phone .

aside from alot of apps force closing and slow responding typing on the touch keyboard.

one of the bigg "upps" about the phone is the beautifuk quality pictures .

Do yourself a favor & do NOT get this phone...If you are on Sprint, go and get the EVO or Epic...I had this phone for less than a year and it slows down over time due to its processor...If you hack it you can get some more speed but why go thru the trouble when Sprint has better phones available now? guys, the back cover is simple to remove.

turn the phone over, facing the micro usb towards you. then with your left hand hold the phone snug. place your right palm on the cover. apply a good bit of pressure down and away. the cover should come off quite easily.

Didn't know about the surcharge Sprint adds for Evo. I got the Hero when it first came out and it's not all that. Battery life is awful, bulky, gets hot, and last but not least their operating system sucks! The screen keeps sticking and it's very slow, I wish it had my Blackberry's system in it. If you ever get this phone or Android please do yourself a favor and DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING! It will eat up your battery and memory. I tried erasing but it still sucks, I will never buy HTC/Android.

I have this and the Blackberry 8530. I switched to this after buying off of Ebay cheap (brand new!) It really is a fun phone..so im keeping it for the future but its sitting in my closet for now because I switched back to my BB.

I found that I can get to everything much faster on my BB..and the BB seems more practical for everyday use. Plus some email cant get pushed(unless you pay) On my BB its right there!..and I missed a real keyboard!
