When it comes to natural resources, they would likely have better resource-extraction technologies than us, and I'm not sure what project could both be performed by uneducated laborers and be useful to an advanced alien race.

The callers concept of hell isn't in the bible. The idea of hell such as the caller talks about came from "Divine Comedy" which was written in the 14th century.

I agree Matt and Jeff (along with Tracie) are the best hosts of the show, just because they have the best on-air skills. However, I actually think Russell is the least arrogant of the hosts; he almost never interrupts callers, though he will put them on hold if they keep rambling. Jeff and Matt are the most likely to interrupt callers before they have finished their points.

@TheCrimsonification I'm not sure we would qualify as an effective work force for alien civilizations capable of traveling between worlds. When it comes to natural resources, they would likely have better resource-extraction technologies than us, and I'm not sure what project could both be performed by uneducated laborers and be useful to an advanced alien race.
It's like Battle: LA, where I didn't get why aliens were resorting to ground warfare when they could have destroyed us from above.

@giovanone So evolution has gaps. So what do you fill them with? God? Medicine also has 'gaps', there are plenty of diseases, viruses etc that arent fully understood. Would you suggest that medicine fills those gaps with god too? Many crimes remain unsolved, there are 'gaps'. Does that mean that god committed the crimes too? In each case, No! You keep looking for evidence, until you find the culprit, until then, its unsolved.

@giovanone Yes that was, but I feel a lot of his Scientific theories are more reasonable than the ones I hear here. Even Mr. Dawkins the god of evolution recognizes this ID/IE. Do you honestly think we evolved from non-living matter? You can't answer that because science does not prove that. I'm working on my masters in Chemical Engineering so I'm not blind to scientific theories. I love science and honestly it is void of many answers more than religion.

@iDugong yup, thats basically what i believe. That their is a force working outside the laws of physics, but not some God that a few people thought they could conquer the world with. I'm not going to be mean and spiteful towards them, because most of the "real Christians" are very nice people, but some of them do refuse to look at it from another persons standpoint.

It only becomes a problem when such people lie and disregard proven facts to push their beliefs or otherwise act on them without understanding the truth of such ideas, otherwise there's nothing retarded about someone being religious if they're clearly not pushing it, you're the one imposing your own lack of beliefs at that point, which is just as disrespectful as when theists do it to us.

@iDugong Considering how much of the major scientific advances in history were done by theists (although atheist scientists are on the rise of course), the simple presence of religious people isn't in itself a barrier to progress, it's only when you have people like creationists, whom go out of their way to hinder science and education, should we make a point of really fighting their ideas. Otherwise what good can come out of attacking others just because of their beliefs? We'd cause more harm

@playadominical I have always thought Jeff is just the sort of nerdy, snidy little douche that I would hate to be in a room with. Russel however is quite a cool guy. Jeff, unlike matt, rarely provides anything other than a reactionary stance of scorn. He is an Idiot when compared to everyone else, including some of the callers. He finds safety in ridiculing people because he knows it is the easiest thing to do.

There's NOTHING about atheism that causes one to be rational. I have had plenty of arguments with other atheists about many things, the fact is, even without religion, there's still a lot of irrational things people believe, you're just gonna have to deal with that. : /

I agree Matt and Jeff (along with Tracie) are the best hosts of the show, just because they have the best on-air skills. However, I actually think Russell is the least arrogant of the hosts; he almost never interrupts callers, though he will put them on hold if they keep rambling. Jeff and Matt are the most likely to interrupt callers before they have finished their points.
