John Kiffmeyer was an amazing drummer and he quit Green Day to go to college I respect him for that! I still agree tho that Tre is also an outstanding drummer and Green Day is the best band ever (in my opinion).

Oh and I love how little the crowd is and how they're pretty much not listening xD just compare that with the thousands of people at every GD concert now, and the millions of people who want to see them live. xD

@TheShooten22 i wouldnt say john is a god,,, tre is a much better and professional drummer. in this gig he keeps dropping his sticks, his bass pedal broke and keeps getting out of time on 39 smooth as well as live such as in 3:08. although he did help them get more popular:)

@iceleon25 Kerplunk came out in early 92. The video is from 1990, and the drummer in the video is John Kiffmeyer, not Tre. From this I conclude that a) the songs were written and performed by the band long before the recording, and b) between the time of this school performance and Kerplunk, Tre replaced Kiffmeyer (actually, Kiffmeyer does play drums on many of the Kerplunk songs -- that recording is about the time that Kiffmeyer went off to college and Tre became the drummer (yay!) ).

@kinggagkk The only songs on Kerplunk that John drummed on are the 4 "bonus songs" at the end - it's just the Sweet Children EP that they recorded in 1990 stuck on the end of the album. Tre replaced John in 1990 afew months after this show.
