  • 11 people are no eskimos :D :D

  • luv this song!!

  • PEOPLE STOP FKN ASSUMING WHAT THIS SONG IS ABOUT...UNLESS YOUVE ACTUALLY HAD A ONE ON ONE INTERVIEW WITH THIS BAND! STUPID VAGINA HEADS!

  • yes it is,after his death.america media craping about him.eskimo joe make this to tribute him.but the fact that he overdid drug was true

  • This was a tribute to heath ledger wasn't it?

  • Awesome band! Seen them live many times and they are amazing!

To all the people who 'Dislike'

Why bother watching something if you don't like it?

  • I was born in Australia but have a Turkish background and one day we heard the start of this song , and naturally, thought it was on Turkish TV... We were so shocked as we heard the english lyrics and realised that Aussie TV was on.... hahah but felt very proud <3

  • top shit !! cant get enough!

  • @bulegaul i had no clue until u just told me -.-

  • Great song :) from POLAND

  • This is the sond of god right there mann fucking awsome talent

  • Totally LOVE this track!!! Aussie pride right here.

  • just saw them live again last night at homebake in sydney. sound just as awesome if not more awesome live. big sound

  • WHY IS THIS NOT ON ITUNES. ANGER!

  • @cdizzzzle Buy the cd, it's like $10 at JB

  • @cdizzzzle it is.

  • @jonahostermeyer Not in America. Sad right?

  • these guys were a bit quiet for a while there and then they made 3 albums in the last 4 year...fantastic...soooooooo sick of hearing lady gaga on the radio

  • how can people actually not like this :/

  • Australian music is on fire at the moment! I've had Release Your Mind by Teleskopes on repeat for days now!!

  • This band deserves more recognition.

  • Rest in peace Heath. We miss you and we lose you.

  • just two days ago i saw these guys live and it was deffinitly one of the best performances i have ever seen it deffinitly was one of the best thing to happen to this island ( i live on an island called kangaroo island in south australia) so much fun and this song expecialy went off !

  • @bickmister I watched Eskimo Joe as a support band to the Superjesus back in 2001, and they were fantastic live. Eskimo Joe are an underrated band.

  • this song...is sooo good!

  • @jabeau23 tsk tsk tsk. been readin wikipedia?

My mate knows these guys so I got it from the horses mouth.

    FUCK WIKIPEDIA

  • This song is about Gallipolli and how the turks fuckin murdered us sooooo hard.

  • @abortzee wow man, the turks didn't "fuckin murder" us. it was war, it was pretty much even sided, but if u look for some accurate accounts of casualties from gallipoli, there were so many more turkish soldier killed than australian soldiers. It only looks like we got the short straw because the poms didnt know how to drive boats and landed the boats kilometers from where they originally planned to

  • @abortzee This song has nothing to do with Gallipoli, Kavyen Temperley aka Finlay Beaton wrote the song about Heath Ledger's death. They were both in New York when Heath died and are both from Perth, Western Australia. The use of the Zurna in this song, whilst Turkish, is just a new direction the band were taking at the time and nothing to do with war.

  • i have literallly spent ALL day looking for this song... in the end i found it.... time well spent XD listening to this makes it all worth it :)

  • r.i.p Heath Ledger.

this song was made for you <3

aussie aussie aussie, oi oi oi.

  • cool song

  • didn't this win eurovision?

  • @shanefitdude no, you're right, hence, "i smell the blood of an Australian"

  • @shanefitdude Yeah you are correct. Its basically about his death and the whole media hype and disrespect to a man who had just died.

  • proud to have suchaa nice band from australia! GO OZZI :D

  • i love this track.... i'm not sure what it means though? Are they talking about making it big in the foreign land but not at home?... or is it about how much they miss home?

  • @sankar7070

This song is about Heath Ledgers death

  • @sankar7070 It's about dying alone in a foreign land, I remember they said that in an interview.

  • @Kittielove30 no it's about Eskimo Joe doing a gig in New york on the night Heath Ledger died, they felt an immense loneliness and sadness being in a "foreign land" whilst a fellow australian died in the same town the guys from Eskimo Joe are from.

  • woah.. intense stuff

  • I've had to move over to the US from Aus for a few years and havn't been able to come home. This song just reminds me everyday how much I miss our beer, our rugby and our beaches. We really are the lucky country.

  • kashmir?

  • Joel looks hot in this video. I love this song, one of my favourites!

  • Okay, I admit, this song seriously got on my nerves the first time I heard it. It was so weird. But after listening to it again, listening to every instrument, I fell in love with it. Seriously, it is one of the best songs I have ever heard. It is so unique from all the stuff that people listen to today. That is why its so amazing. :]

  • this song KICKS ASS

  • 9 people are biebers

  • How do I buy this song if im in America?! Its not on iTunes and I refuse to steal this song from them.

  • i like turkish porn :D

  • Its not arabic. The way they dance sure is turkish dancing but the The flue they play is originated from assyrians and we call it "zorna" we also use it for our weddings and occasions. Search "dola o zorna" in the engine and ull see assyrians come up and look at the videos.

I reckon the way this band uses it with modern music makes it really good.

  • if they were a 'pretty boy' band they would slaughter 'em. shallow world we live in!

  • Fuck all haters, I love the Arabic feel to it and the intro is the most dramatic intense piece of music I have heard in a while

  • @IprototypeI

Whirling Dervishes have been in Turkish culture for many, many centuries, and the instrument at the beginning is the Turkish Zurna, it has been played in Turkish music since the beginning :)

  • one of the best songs ever ! one of my fav bands !

  • I have to rock SO DAMN HARD when I hear this song. The guitar work is just FULL ON!

  • why does this only get 107,821 thousand views and jason derulo gets 85,840,935 million views this is much better

  • @supramz2 agree with you 100 percent

  • My favorite song when I was living in Australia...

  • @HakimDesigns where are you now

  • pure brilliance from a classy band

  • I lived 5 years in Australia, and many times I felt like him(Heath Ledger)... It's not just about being an Australian... It's about how you feel when it's not your home country, your people, your family. " This was what it feels the love that I couldn't feel when I was in a foreign land" (Australia).

  • my wifes thai, the flute things remind me of a thai boxing match and the song, well that makes me think of bangkok - its crazy there

    but its a great song!

  • i love this song

  • did you know guys..

    ---

" ‎...song inspired by the death of Australian actor Heath Ledger.

Temperly told Triple J that he had felt an empathy with the actor as

…they both shared the home town of Perth, stating: "We were in New York,

this big foreign city, and I felt this immense loneliness of this kid from my home town dying by himself there.""

  • Sufis <3

  • @gwu2011 ?

  • i saw them when they were nothings.

  • colourful tÜrk elements

  • well i thought the intro stretched on for a bit but i love this song

  • Eskimo Joe deserve every success. By far the brightest shining light in Australian music is from the West in the form of these talented men.

  • @dalmanation obviously you have never heard of electric mary. but yes this song is awesome.

heard this band for the 1st time..

they are the best aussie band imo..

    result : ESKIMO JOE

  • Hey guys you re totally muslim. ALLAH TÜRKTÜR cCc

  • Eskimo Joe is awesome. Coming from a real inuk. :)

  • Me and my band recorded in that room!

  • @senojnomis were is the room man, looks pretty sick !!!!

  • @adrianroche123 Studios 301 in sydney, very nice place, muse wrote neutron star collision there too, lots of bands have recorded there

  • They are a pretty incredible band. The riff is possibly influenced by Led Zep's "Kashmir", (or possibly not - this is only my opinion) but interpreted a different way, and it sounds just awesome.

  • They are a pretty incredible band. The riff is probably influenced by Led Zep's "Kashmir", but interpreted a different way, and it sounds just awesome.

  • I love this song.

  • love this song, it would be on my top 10 aussie songs of all time

  • Bit Led Zeppy in the middle, cool though. But not Powderfinger.

  • Blatant rip-off of Bulls On Parade at 2:46.

  • @MrSockery Hardly. It repeats at 3:59, listen to it again and you'll see it's completely different.

  • @dalmanation Touché. I still stand by my original comments, however.

  • Dogooders you'd better believe this

  • i hate eskimo joe, but this song is so original (well for Australian bands anyway..who are all generic rock crap). Really good song, too bad the rest of their stuff sucks

  • @glassprisoner87 just like any other dickhead, you are entitled to your opinion - I just wish you would keep it to yourself
