The installation of games only makes the loading times shorter and the console run quieter. You still need to have the disc in the console to play it.

You can download the NXE by the PC and put it on your flash card or some other flash device (PSP, digital camera). Or you can burn the update to the CD and install it from it

It's not the interface that makes the Xbox get the RROD, it's the actual hardware (fans and ventilation). I think you should be fine.

i haven't downloaded this yet but why did they bother. The Blade interface was great, cos it was the only device that had it, and it was so simple to use.

This looks nice and as a user i feel more inside the interface, and while thats a nice experience, it appears that there are far more interactions required to do anything.

I loved 360 because it was 2 presses to do anything. Much easier than the PC.

Not sure its the same interface as used in the NXE you know with pics and the name in conor of it, I know i remeber seeing it in some old games but just cant remeber the names of the games, and yes i do agree with you that the blade system was alot easyer to navigate and keep track of stuff and Avatars Should have been optional IMO (something for the kids to do) The new interface does'nt feel very ''new'' either (see above)
