  • Man that is amazing Really cool. You look to be only a few kilograms lighter than me, but I'm no where near your level dude, very inspiring.

  • I'm an aerialist and just now starting some partnered handbalancing... deepest respect for your hard work! Where did you find/what is the name of this remix of "My Violent Heart"? It's brilliant!

  • @1tallkat thanks man. google "bootleg is resistance" by ToTom

  • I'm not quite there. I can't wait till I'm where you are. I've been building up my shoulders doing sets of handstand push-ups against the wall. Now I've got balance training to do. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • @wil1243 my #1 word of advice is to really focus on the shoulder opening. bridges and more shoulder opening work is HUGE in handstand alignment.

  • Pretty impressive! Great parallettes!!

  • really nice

  • Good work man! Here's a tip for your v sits and mannas... put your hands fingers facing backward closer to your bum or even slightly behind. This gives an axle point for your wrists to counterbalance so you can lean back more. :) Keep it up!

  • woooooooooooooooooow

  • Thanks for sharing your workouts. I'm inspired.

  • Anytime man. Thanks for watchin!

  • Several people have asked me where I got my p-bars from. The answer is home depot :P I made them from pvc pipes. Google "homemade parallettes"

  • Thats cool man. How do you get thoes bars you were balancing on?

  • very good where did you get those balance bars.

  • very good, How do you get those bars to balance on?

  • wow..you're awesome..how do you train your upper body??

  • check out my other videos :)

  • You look tiny :o

I begin my handstand training tonight, I wanna eventually do a planche, I'm going to be making progress videos every week.

    inspiring!

  • very nice

    keep going

  • wow, i really want to do a comparison video... would anyone be interested?

  • wow you are huge in this vid... i am glad you dropped to a more managable weight 175. I myself am not 180 and i think its definatly helped me alot and i am sure being a bit lighter helps loads. But i really liked your balancing. Bit jealous you got to meet coach sommers an ido as well lol

  • Man that's just really good :-)

wishing you good luck in your practice

  • Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone! Just as a side note, I weighed about 198lb in this video and I am now down to 175lb lol. Being heavy (fat) doesn't help at all. I was doing the anabolic diet and just found that it wasn't working for me (or I was rather doing it wrong).

  • `very great stuff brother

  • cool depending on how old you are (I think)... Last time I did that I was 28yo and then work/school/work... took away all of it; I really, really miss that feeling.

  • U Rock Dude:-)

  • Nice, just open your shoulders abit, their a tiny bit closed in your handstands.

    Awesome stuff!

  • I definitely agree, I wish I had learned (and been patient) from the beginning with handstand training. Oh well, live learn and pass on info is all I can do :)

  • I love handstands and love training them it's great. I myself am a gymnast and i can see that you've obviously done a lot of muscular training, And to gain flexibility with that much muscle is a lot of hard work and your on excellent form so gratz! Only critiscm i'd say is your at an slight angle when fully upright. So shoulder flexbility a bit. Otherwise it is perfect :D

  • Thanks very much! I noticed that as well. Probably from my prior training of barbell OH presses. Shoulder flexibility has much improved and I need to do an update video.

  • man i can barely do a handstand and i want to improve i think its my balance any tips??

  • plz give me some insight of how u acheived the L-Sit.

  • Primarily through doing leg lifts in a 5x5 routine. 5 sets of 5 "perfect" reps.

  • then there's the move at 2:02-2:10, i consider myself to have excellent upper body strenghth. I have my own bars just like yours but am still struggling with that, i feel like i'm almost there though. any suggestions on how to develop that last bit of strength required?

  • Grip! you have to squeeze TIGHT to make sure you don't go flying... at least in the beginning, until your body adjusts.

  • Hey man, i'm so glad to find your videos. I'm 140 and about 5'8". I'm training to do planche pushups and still rings. When you bring your lower body into a handstand at about 1:01, could you recommend some excerises to develop the shoulder and upper arm muscles required to do that? anyway i think what you're doing is great, keep it up

  • Thanks! Well, the shoulder is just in a static position... it's my hamstrings and lower back that I tighten to remain in balance. Anywhere you feel weak (any specific ROM) just find it and hold and TENSE as tight as you can... and then tighter!

  • You are a beast! keep it up the training, if you train with the same determination you had in the video, I will foresee great accomplishments for you. I subscribed to your videos, -cheers

  • Thanks brotha! You are also a beast! I wish you the best of luck with the circus. Let me know how you make out. (subscribing to YOUR videos right now)

  • i see at the end you have a bunch of captains of crush grippers. whats your deal?

  • well... I made a grip training video. I recently closed the 2.5 crush gripper with my right hand and came very close with my left.

  • strong man competitor?

  • no, I think I might be too little for that unless that have a 180-190lb class. I just like to practice different types of strength.

  • did you try to increase your time to stretch to 1 hour +....helped me a lot with my movements.

  • I usually do about 30-40 minutes of dynamic flexibility before I train. Whatever I can do afterwards (about 15 minutes) I try to put in for static stretches.

  • do you speak spanish ? sorry I from argentina... Congratulations !!!

you are a good hand balancer.

  • Thanks. I don't speak spanish, but I do have a translator program.

  • very nice, only thing like other guy mentioned hands closer together, otherwise your form is perfect you needn't worry about pointing toes that much :)

  • good job, How often do you train per week balance?

  • Thanks.

I try to practice on my "off days" (3 times a week) but usually I will walk my feet up to a HS on the wall (stomach facing wall) for about a minute on training days.

  • nice man. looks like you've gotten a lot better and more solid.

my only piece of advice, is that your hands are quite wide. try to get them so they're right under your shoulders, apart from that; keep it up!

  • Thanks man, will do!

  • Siiiick stuff man!!

    You're an inspiration!

  • Awesome! I don't think most people understand how difficult it is to be that graceful as a bigger guy.

  • Thanks everyone!

  • nice,keep going

  • Stay tough

  • good form

  • very good work... i would like to do that move you do to get into the handstand from the standing position...

what are some progressions for this move?

    thx for ur tips...

  • Do you mean the straddle up? just try to split and find your center of balance over your hands. Perhaps, also, try against a wall. Try both pike and straddle positions.

    Thanks for the complement!

  • Nice Work! I like the manna training i haven't even had time to try it yet. Keep it up!

  • looks like you have improved, good job son.

been using handstands in kick boxing for years to help with joint muscle strength
