I listen to rock these days but I grew up on this stuff. I remember going to the store & my sister bought me the tape I was ecstatic i'll never forget it. Also correct me if I'm wrong but the beat used in this with the piano & stuff wasn't sampled. It was their creation. And from 3:47 kool rock & buffy just rule with the effects & all that's just something you don't hear in hip hop today (maybe). I always thought beat box was the equivalent of a nice guitar solo & buffy was THE expert on it.
This is without a dought, the best the Fat boys ever did, I remember first hearing this played for the 1st time by a guy called Phil Allen, on capitol radio, London, it was 1986, I havn't heard it anywhere since then, until now, so a big THANYOU V/ much for uploading this.
I used to get acquainted with electro tracks like this one by tuning into a saturday night radio show on Capital FM called 'Mike Allen's Army on Manouvres'. It was on around 1985 - 1987. Fantastic period for dance music.
yo u from UK yes plz get back. of course i remember mike Allan on friday's. those where the days.. remember mike allan mixed this with a song called PUMP IT UP a rap song.. then there was steve pearce on a different radio channel. lol old skool 4ever
One of my favorites from the Fat Boys. I thought it was Ill how Kool Rock Ski voice echoes "right to left..." and then the Human Beat Box starts rippin it up in the background!!!
