I didn't find this sketch funny before. But now (after having watched more 'educated men' having a 'civil debate', and -usually the moderator- concluding with such a remark), I found it hilarious.
Of course, comedy from GB has always been said to be an acquired taste...So maybe it's the dry wit that took some getting used to.
