  • Finn = Fucking genius.

  • just awesome! looooove it !!!

  • great stuff

  • Only natural

  • I remember the movie There Goes the Neighborhood with Jeff Daniels.... and this song at the end... fantastic music!

  • The best of the best, still.

  • The best of the best!

  • The best band that ever came up from down under, great songs, great musicians, instant happiness guaranteed.

  • @toomuchrose you mean newzealand

  • @ThisIsHowIDissapear From my position on the globe, New Zealand is down under...but of course I know Crowded House are from New Zealand and not the bigger island :)

  • totally cool shit.....dope

  • The first time I heard this tune on the radio, I seriously thought it was some long lost Beatles track. Beautiful !

  • If you’re beginning to notice your senses slowly becoming inundated with the effects of the modern world such as our oceans being polluted with oil and radioactive iodine, cheap plastic consumer techno trash and our one dimensional corrupt government, do yourself a favor, go to Netflix and get this DVD. It won’t change the world but it will make you forget about it for at least two hours. It contains 100% pure joy.

  • my fav song i come from the bands country

  • FOUR dislikes????????? You have to be totally brain dead to dislike this fantastic song.

  • fabulous....great stuff...thanks for posting...cheers!

  • 4 people are apparently deaf. How do you "dislike" this?

  • Wish I could have been there! At least I have gotten to see everyone on stage at one time or the other. I miss Paul....

  • It's got this "And Your Bird Can Sing" Beatles feel to it.

  • "Read me like a book that has fallen down between your knees, Please."

    Smashing.

  • @bordercollie1975 are you jealous of nz lamb or do you really think nzers are sheep?

  • @bordercollie1975 Yes it is really beatles. Even the voices. they are so musicians!!!

  • not bad for a live version

  • God Bless Paul Hester. What a great drummer and a special part of Crowded House.

  • Saw them last night in London - this song was amazing!!

  • Great tune. Am I not wrong in thinking that on the record of this, Neil sings his own harmonies? I think the harmonies are a little shaky here. Still great.

  • I love Mark Hart's guitarin this song. Alot of people don't give him the credit for the Crowdy sound he was responcible for.

  • This is my favourite version of this song. there's so much energy and passion it's insane!

  • The Band's best ever

  • NICE SONG

  • Put your guns and your beef jerky away and walk out into America where Americans rule. No one is going to take anything from us because we do not restrict rights.

On the cheap labor, we do have to get the rest of the world on a level playing field. No other country can compete with say China at 50 cents an hour, no OSHA, no insurance, no workers comp...no problem.

  • Fuck off!

  • And this has what to do with this song exactly?

Get out on the streets and protest if it means so much to you, instead of boring us with your unsavoury views here on youtube.

  • hearing this song reminds me of the Beatles days. They sing like the English boys and it's a compliment. great.

  • awesome!!!

  • The best version of this song for me.

Both Finn's on vocals gives it more depth.

  • Ah yes! My partner and I were there that night in 1997 (?) Just us two and a quarter of a million others. I was just amazed at the international audience there. Everywhere you turned you'd hear French, German, Polish and many other languages just as much as English. A wonderful group and great song writers, musicians and lovely as people too.

  • This song and "fall at your feet" ---which I love, I'm newly addicted to it, not being familiar with 80's music esp. from New Zealand and Australia.. (nope, not real young, was just stoned.) but I just wanted to say the two songs are kinda Beatles-esque if you get me.

  • Yeah I hear a lot of Beatles influence in Crowded House..which is a great thing imo! Fall At Your Feet is one of my favourite songs ever. I have a version of it here, check it out!

  • Come on! Everyone was stoned in the 80's. It made music better in that instant, anyway!

  • @4rainbowed 2 great songs, you have good sense of music

  • kjukuk

  • Still lighting up my dark times Neil. xx Thanxx x

  • I love this song!! I remember growing up in the 90's loving Crowded House, and all because of my dad haha.

  • yes and what a great natural talent and it is warm down there in Sydney. 21 below zero here, tonight...

  • awesome harmonies........probably the best ever

  • j'adore cette chanson et elle me rend toujours de bonne humeur RIP paul

  • Great Kiwi song writers

  • Well done, man on the drums., keeping that speed-head in time.

  • Paul Hester R.I.P.

  • Would have given anything to go to this concert, but unfortunatly i was only three haha.

  • i was at this concert. hired a car and drove down from Brisbane. It got postponed due to rain on the saturday night,so i had to miss work to see it. Unbelieveable atmosphere.

  • Please check our version of 'better be home soon', we are Neil's biggest fans :o)

Let us know what you think!

    Thanks

    No Angry Young Man

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Better live than on Album...

    AMAZING BAND!

  • Totally agree, love them on album but live they have a certain edge... they broke the mould when the rock god's created this band

    ;-)

  • ha ha ha great!

  • This song reminds me of hanging out with an old girl friend in Lajolla, Ca eating mexican food and throwing back shots. Man what a killer time ! thanks for the post

  • Finns are N.Z, Hester and Co are Aussie, who cares, both want to claim them(crowded house), which just shows how good they are.

  • Best band in the world? Best in the universe!

  • It is truly great to have this Crowded House performance of one of its best songs with both Finn brothers and Paul Hester. This is a treasure. Thanks so much.

  • great song and the us is full of good people im from canada and get to engage with lots of good americans. they saved europe from themselves along with the british in the second world war. us colonials in australia and canada should give our grandparents some respect by acknoledging that. the english speaking peoples should show some balls. peace.

  • fuckin awesome

  • crowded house is the best ;)

  • THIS IS A GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!

  • Splendid.

  • This is the coolest version of this song. Love it!

  • whats everyone kicking off for? chill out a bit and enjoy the track. course they a great band i'm from england and i like these as much as the next guy. whats all this about bashin yanks?

  • r.i.p paul

  • new zealanders are right to love these mugs!!!! AWESOME!

  • This is how rock should be, not that stupid hardrock shit. This version is lovely and I don´t understand why it wasn´t recorded like this too!

  • They are brothers. so they have similar voices, which sounds a bit like harmony..

only they are really at war except when they are on the stage

  • Really? How so? I wouldn't think so. They seem pretty close after the finn brothers albums. "Everyone Is Here" is pretty much about them and their family and how close they are. I thought so, anyway.

  • Usually people AT WAR do not write songs together... lol. And they surely wouldn't write HEARTFELT ones. What a dope!

  • Mate, another Yank, firstly anything you say doesn't mean anything anymore, and secondly, do you even know this is the greatest band of all time?

  • First, mate, THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS IN THE WORLD! Second, anything I say is as important as anything you or anyone else says because that is THE AMERICAN WAY that all our allies adopted. It is sad that so many people the USA saved from utter destruction by fascists now find it FASHIONABLE to bash us.

  • I'm American and I like this band

  • Oh all you lucky people who get to live in Oz & have had all the opportunities to see live these immensely talented boys! We U.S.ers never have given them the attention they deserve.

  • They toured this summer, I caught them in TO, they still got it

  • New Zealanders take the credit for the finn brothers thanks very much:P

  • @mattgunnsaysgetfukd NZ bred the Finn brothers and OZ made them. They thanked us by having their farewell concert in Sydney. lol....

  • The vocal harmonies are surreal. Great song and performance.

  • 1st time I played this didn't think much of it.

It's one of the few CD's that got better and

better the more you played it.

  • YOU DON"T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT!!!!!!

  • I love Neil Finn, too...so many years I wasted not realizing how fabulous he is. The music is consuming me tonight.

  • ...I am head over heels, crazy, silly, dizzy in love with Neil Finn and Crowded House....Hey, It's only natural....:)....

  • Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!!!!! x

  • this has NOT BEEN FAVORITED ENOUGH considering how AWESOME it is! GET ON IT AND RATE IT 5!!!!!!

  • i was brought up with there music when i was young and i remeber my brother and i hating it and now as im young and iv moved over to nz i listen to the music as much as i can!!! love them

  • one of my favourite crowded house songs! the record version is just awesome

  • Fabulous. Neil sounds at his best when singing alongside brother Tim. What a GREAT song!!

  • I love how we Aussies have called Crowded House as our own, much to the chagrin of the Kiwis.

    Haha.

  • Yeah, us Aussies will have Crowded House, and the kiwis can have Russell Crowe :)

  • heheh sherb we let you guys have russell years ago but crowded house is always gonna be kiwi!

  • But we don't want Russell Crowe. lol

We would rather have Crowded House. Are you sure you don't want to swap? :)

  • heheh mate i dont think anyone really wants to claim russell... and here i thought we were being generous:P

  • Just to clear things up - Neil and Tim are definitely Kiwis. For the ignorant person who just thinks OZ and NZ are just full of Maori's and Aborigines - didn't you go to school!!! Neil went to school with a mate of mine. The boy's talents as a songwriter are unsurpassed! Crowded House play in Edmonton September 8 promoting Time On Earth. Rock On!!! Crowded House.

  • Crowded House : The Australian Beatles? I Think there FAB

  • i agree with you robinnikkie. i have always thought crowded house sounded as good as any of the great sixties groups, the greatest, of course, being the beatles.

  • They can't be Kiwis or Assies....the former are Maori and the latter Aboriginals....these guys look like Scots or Irish to me ....and with a name like Finn, what more do I need to add? Yerall crimbo's anyways....hahahaha

  • What?! Australians and New Zealanders who are descended from European (or any other continent for that matter) migrants are still called Australians and New Zealanders. You're talking about indigenous Australians and New Zealanders. The Finn brothers are New Zealanders, although probably of Irish descent.

  • thatz cause everybody in australia is scot or irish!!!!!!

  • i am scottish! why you diss me??? lol.. it must have been a CONTEXTUAL issue or an INSECURITY thang.

  • good stuff from down under. kiwis and aussies working together.

  • haha yeah rare thing but the outcome is good stuff :).

    Kiwi Kid.

    ~Jayson

  • They just played 4 songs on sunrise, a morning show in Aus. There back together!!! You can check the vid of there songs by searching yahoo and sunrise on google, there in the "stars" section.

  • I love these guys!!!! Best Band I have EVER seen live!

  • best band in the world...........

  • who cares if they are from NZ or Aus? I dont! They make good music so it is irrelevant!

  • hey, Australia doesn't steal everything from NZ. we still got the bledisloe cup

  • and the Rugby League WORLD CUP!

  • but if it wasn't for australia they would never have made it, typical kiwi, boo hoo. we steal everything from you anyways, you'd think you'd be used to it, pansies

  • The are kiwis from Te Awamutu. (pronounced - Te awa moo-too)

  • Another great group from Melbourne, these guys are great on stage

  • I love Crowded House, and this song... but does no one else think that the singing is really out of tune? Especially in the first verse, I think it's Tim. Achwell. They're still ace :)

  • a little out of tune in the beginning.... so what? now you know for sure they're really singing.

  • Some of the best songwriters/performers EVER. Thanks for posting.

  • they are indeed kiwi any talk of them being aussie is bullshit, typical arrogant aussie bullshit

  • and they call these guys a one hit wonder? if only most multi-hit morons could write songs like this!!!!!

  • Everly Bros of Australia? HUH? They are from New Zealand! they are Kiwis.....and dam proud of it mate!

  • Yep, you should be very proud. I'm an American but love Split Enz and Crowded House as much as anyone! I also feel amazed at the pride you must feel.

  • the everly brothers of AUSTRALIA to me.

  • Still cannot believe they getting back together!

    RIP Paul Hester

  • Pity paul left ,saw these guys many times they were superb !

  • The Finn Brothers also created some great music earlier in Split Enz

  • F8ckin A man... I've seen them 3 times.. talked to them once.. they rock! Roll on the autumn eh!

  • There reforming! Best news ever, shame Paul Hester wont be there.

  • God I forgot how great these guys were. Too bad about Paul but he is in a better place.Thanks.

  • What do you think these lyrics are referring to?

  • hello, does anyone know the name of the program on tv with neil finn, roddy frame and the bloke from 10cc?.it was a live set in the u.k in about 1999.thanks

  • this is a very late reply to 2000awd, the programme was songwriter's circle, it was aired on bbc2, ive failed to find footage again, but it was a great show!

  • thanks for the reply, mailEwoud.i remember the prog now ,shame can't see it again cheers.

  • Brings back the memories. I miss these guys.

  • wonderful song :d

  • I wasn't really old enough to appreciate them when they were still playing, but now they're without a doubt my favourite band of all time

too bad they stopped so soon :(

  • What I wouldn't give to bring back Paul.

  • I agree - I used to love Crowded House. How unfortunate that they disbanded:-(

  • they are the most amazing band in the world. second to none

  • Wow..I want to see the entire thing! These guys were always so amazing. Superb.

  • It's so bittersweet to see them all together, especially Paulo.

  • I have always loved this band and this song is just so cool!

  • Crowded House is such an amazing band. Neil Finn's voice is second to none.

  • I still mourn for Crowded House. Neil Finn is a band man.

  • Coolest song man.

  • Great video...though its out of focus the sound is perfect..Amazing Band!!!!
