@wowwow180 Around my area, there are a lot of jobs in software engineering open which have to do with computer science and engineering. They pay pretty well also. You really need to want to do it though.
@pufixas I learned C++ when I was 10. It's kind of hard to get into at first, but becomes much easier. I learned mostly by making patches for jtagged xbox's.
I'm really confused about the difference between getting a Computer Science degree and a Software Engineering degree. Also, is getting a Software Engineering degree equivalent to a CS degree to employers?
@nepalihercules Entry requirements for the Melbourne School of Engineering's Professional Master of Engineering (Software):
Students graduating from any (minimum 3-year) degree program who have completed the equivalent of 25 points of first-year mathematics (any) and 25 points of computing, computer science, or programming (or equivalent) may be admitted to the Master of Engineering (Software).
Students graduating from any (minimum 3-year) degree program who have completed the equivalent of 25 points of first-year mathematics (any) and 25 points of computing, computer science, or programming (or equivalent) may be admitted to the point (3-year) Master of Engineering (Software).
Melbourne School of Engineering also allows credit for prior study

what bachelor would be the best choice to get into software engineering at melbourne?

MCA is equivalent to ME (Computer Science and Engineering)
MCA with B.Sc. (Computer Science) background is equivalent to ME (Computer Science and Engineering).
B.Sc. Computer Science (3 Yrs) + MCA (3 Yrs) = 6 Years.
BE Computer Science (4 Yrs) + ME (2Yrs) = 6 Years.
MCA and ME both are equal.
Companies giving equal priority to both MCA and ME.
Master of Computer Applications MCA and Master of Engineering ME, are treated Same for jobs and there is no difference in the competence ratings.
