Is there any degree of relationship between Hashimoto's and the presence of papillary carcinoma? For example, does Hashimoto's, if it's chronic enough, increase the probability of acquiring carcinomas, or vice versa? Thank you.

now i get why they're called orphan annie's eye nucleus inclusions. if you wiki a pic of the CARTOON orphan annie you'll find that her eyes are a dark rim and an empty centre...JUST like the cells! cooooool :D pathologists have awesome imaginations!
