The LE can record upto 32 tracks its kinda weird having to be able to record only two at a time via the XLR's or DI's...am not very techy so be precise in ur suggestions please....thanks

@gavinbracewell yeah but you wont be able to record more than 2 different tracks at once, you could record with more than 2 mics at once with the mixing desk but you wont be able to seperate the sounds when your actually mixing with pro tools which is pretty much the point. if you want to have more than two tracks go for the digi 003 or check out m-audio's stuff thats pretty decent and cheap to start out with

@solz101 if its 10 inputs it's 10 channels therefore you cant record your drums, unless you have some means to bounce the whole thing down to 2 inputs pre input?

try getting a 003 plus, or a presonus studiolive console (16 channels)

Hello im going threw problems as well, for your keyboard go to the site for you Triton and get drivers first, the set it to usb midi mode in the options screen on you keyboard.

once you do that pro tools should recognize you midi option right then.

Having multiple inputs is only necessary when recording multiple tracks simultaneously for instance, Live Drums, or a live band with 3 or more players. If you are recording one thing at a time, then one input (or in this case 2) will suffice.

if you want to mix a live vinyl mix, the simplest way is finding a Line analog cable, those red and white jacks (left and right) that connect stereo devices to each other. Any hi-fi system connected to a record player would have those line outs and I thnk the mini box has those line ins. Then just record the set with Pro Tools LE, it should probably have an optiion of having an audio track recording and external line in source.

I have the Mbox hooked up to my mixer, on the "mix out" inputs...it uses 1/4 inch cables...now where on the back of the Mbox should I connect the other end of the cables?...I also need to learn the basics on how to record my vinyl mix using my Mbox, so I'm looking for a step by step tutor who can help me out over the phone, and of course, I'm more than willing to pay them a tutor fee through paypal..$100.

yeah you need one of digidesigns audio interfaces or MAudio interfaces compatible with Pro-tools LE for the software to work. You might be able to pick up and old Mbox second hand. I'm currently running 7.4 with my old Mbox. might want to double check about MBox & 8 though.
