  • Hi Ochi!

I'm going to make my second batch of your nama choco this week :), I used to make truffles and thought that this was a perfect recipe to try out as it looks unique and so decorative :). I made the origami (from gift wrap :p) boxes last week and saved them so I can use them over and over :). They were absolutely delicious :)! I love your channel, so many creative recipes, watching your videos always brighten up my day, thank you! Keep up the good work!

  • how come mine isn't thick? it's more liquidy

  • Your hair is so pretty!

  • I was wondering if it was possible to double or triple the recipe and still have the chocolates come out right?

  • @KisarazuSakura yes! no problem!

  • will the chocolate melt again if you didn't put it in the fridge for 1 day?

  • @0205Claire depends on the room temperature, so better to save in the fridge :)

  • meiji chocolate..hmm..is it baking chocolate?

  • @vocasoundx by the way, if you happen to find Meiji, I would highly recommend it for you. :) since Meiji has a very good cocoa % than any other chocolate products.

  • @vocasoundx dont use Cadburry, hersheys and other branded chocolate products. Instead, use the baking chocolates which has 50%-70% cocoa. Like for example Felchlin, Tulip, Van Houten and other baking chocolates. Just make sure you check the cocoa %.

  • @stagneso thank you!!!

  • great for Valentine's Day!!!!!

    i loved!!

    *-*

  • Ochikeron-san , i've tried this recipe but i don't understand w the part refrigerate for an hour or two means to put it into the freezer or not to ? cuz mine still felt soft even after putting into the fridge for an hour .. and i am not sure whether what kind of plastic should i use .. any suggestions ? , maybe like plastic cling wraps ? can they be used ? or can the viewers out here that have tried this recipe help me out ? OAO .

  • @sinnersasaki if the fridge didn't work, put in the freezer. just make sure it firms up when you cut :)

  • Haha I used to work for 5th Avenue Chocolatiere back when I was still in high school! Hehe :)

  • @bluedog1357 really!? i love 5th ave chocolate XD

  • Its Like Fuge Yummmy

  • OH MY GAWD. This was amazing! My girlfriend made it for me for Valentines :3

  • @bisexualnproud13 really :D how sweet <3

  • What if you see white stuff after you put it in the fridge? Did I do something wrong?

  • @Flavante nothing wrong, so don't worry! that happens sometimes. it is called chocolate bloom.

  • @ochikeron Oh kk. Thank you for replying. Really appreciated. Ginjo Sake Nama Choco is so good ♥

  • @PrincessSakuno i hope so, too!!!

  • So making this for tomorrow's valentine!

  • @missy8659 thank you :)

  • Does the chocolate need to be baking chocolate or normal ones are fine?

  • @sJollines normal (sweet) ones are fine. sorry for the late reply X(

  • I'm going to make this for my bf for valentines day. I was just wondering when I should make it to keep it fresh? How long would the chocolate last for? Please answer!

  • @JadoreCupcakes better to make it on the day you give to him but it lasts for about 3 days in the fridge. when you carry, if the temp is cold in winter, there is no worry but if in summer, i don't recommend you to put out from the fridge for a long time.

  • I'm learning how to cook from you! lol thanks :)

  • Is this like meiji melty kiss?

  • @missy8659 yep. kind of <3

  • how long can i save it?

  • @shanglinpon about 3 days in the fridge :)

  • Oh wow :D I am definitely going to try and make this for Valentine's Day!!!

  • @cmunch32 thank you :D

  • this is peeerfect to give to my new boo <3 but i was wondering.. can I use whipped cream instead of heavy cream? would it still work?

  • @hcancer10 yes. it works ;)

  • Hi! I just find out your channel and I absolutely love it. I personally adore Japanese culture. I am so happy

  • @ngoctruong1409 thank you :D i am happy to hear that!

  • oh!can I use cooking chocolate? I'm sorry I asked too much ><~~

  • @lie2cious cooking chocolate without sugar?! i recommend you to use sweet chocolate.

  • looks really yummy!! ^o^...Is fresh cream same as liquid whipped cream, if not, can I replace it with liquid whipped cream? I'm a cooking noob ><...and thank you!! ~(^o^~)(~^o^)~

  • @lie2cious yes you can!

  • i mean u had already made the pink brownie. hopefully the real brown too p(^_^)q

  • looks good (^_^) could u please teach us also on how to make delicious brownies (*^^*)

  • @snowy887 i have a good one that my sister loves... but not making that soon since i have so many recipes that i want to share!!! but i will someday! hehe

  • you're so amazing! even teach us how to make the box!

thanks for sharing with us all u know. :)

  • @myanutube you are welcome :D

  • PLEASE HELP!!! i'm using cadburry chocolate. and the chocolate wont melt like yours ): instead , it makes a lumpy chocolate thing. what should i do?

please reply i'm begging u!! please like so she can see ): please!!

  • @vocasoundx Your temp might not be high enough. Try really really hot water, like almost boiling, and see if that works any better.

  • @vocasoundx make sure that your utensils are dry or another way is to heat the cream and then add them to your chocolate. This way the chocolate will also melt and the chance of water entering your chocolate mixture from the Bain-marie is lower..... most important thing is to not introduce any moisture..... hope this helps (0.0)

  • @vocasoundx cadbury is the worst chocoloate. try nice dark chocolate. or use baking chokolate instead!

  • @vocasoundx It's melt eventually, if it doesn't you will just have to use a different kind of chocolate for it to be smooth.

  • Can you please tell me whether the chocolate you used is sweet or not. I just have bitter chocolate at home but I do not see any sugar in you recipe. Thanks

  • @ihe8888 it is sweet and better to use sweet ones than adding sugar... sorry for this late reply X(

  • @chiemes919 you can melt it in a microwave or with any other bowl, she uses metal because its quicker to melt , since metal conducts heat :)

  • how can I melt the chocolate if i dont have a metal container :(?

  • Your english is a little bit off but your tutorial was great

  • I'm going to defiantly do this for my friends! Thanks for the recipe!! :D

  • I may make it for my friends to tell them how much I love them XD

  • @CuteXx100 hehe thanks!!!

  • wow^^this is perfect for this valentine,im looking for easy to make chocolate and this is very helpful! kimitta^^

  • @ivyibit thanks again ;)

  • U speak very good English... loving your videos already.

  • @sakurasoh thank you! glad to hear that :D

  • i was wondering if fresh cream is half and half?... also does there need to be rum or sake?.. can i just not add that?

  • @261foreveryoung half and half is okay but i don't recommend low fat stuff since you want to make the chocolate creamy. you can skip rum or sake ;) no problem!

  • Congrats to you !!! I saw you in tv^_*

  • @01020712 thank you!!! thanks for finding me ;D

  • doesnt just taste like normal chocolate but creamier? does it make a big difference? im just curious cuz i plan to make this as well :D

  • @jennxl33 I actually made this today with heavy cream and Hershey milk chocolate.

    It tasted alright.

  • @PolskiTatar thank you :D and the reply!

  • @ochikeron You're welcome! I love your show!

    Much love from Poland!

  • @PolskiTatar alright? wat went wrong?

  • @jennxl33 You should use dark chocolate, it might be too sweet.

  • Hi. I was wondering what would be better to use, milk chocolate or dark chocolate?

I though dark chocolate because milk chocolate is already creamy.

  • @PolskiTatar well im not the one who posted the video but if you look at the meiji chocolate wrapper in the video it says milk chocolate

  • @DNDKS2 I actually used Hershey's Milk Chocolate and it came out too sweet. I think dark would be better.

  • @PolskiTatar aw man.....i already bought 2 hersheys symphony bars TT^TT......i suppose its ok since im only goiving people 3 peices of the choclate anyways.....

  • Hello this is my first time saying anything here but I'm always thankful to you for uploading the videos.. BTW do you know how to make "nama caramels"?

  • You can melt the chocolate in the microwave it's the same ... and faster, easier ! :)

  • @pinkykittikat Watch out when you use the microwave and be sure to use only low power! :)

It's really easy to actually burn the chocolate, and no one likes burnt and chumpy chocolate (T_T)

Also, when microwaving something it loses some of its moist, and personally I think when you melt it over boiling water the end result is slightly tastier :)

  • @tooka2 thanks for the tip ;), I've never burnt it... And for me is the same quality... :D

  • Would salted butter be ok too?

  • @windxcape you can use it if you don't mind the salty taste. hehe but actually i love salted butter ;D

  • I think I will become a good housewife/girlfriend because of you. I love your channel. I am fan of the Japanese culture, esp Japanese food. Ganbate ni?!

  • @sline123 you are already a good housewife that you wanted to make something for your loved one ;) hehe

  • thank you for the upload... i'd been looking around for ideas and this is one of the best. it's cheap and creative. can't wait to make some for my son's therapist. once again thank you and can't wait to watch more of your vids. :)

  • @trueislander27 glad to hear that! thank you :D i love to save money with a great idea. hehe

  • you basically melt chocolate und make it hard again…?

  • @tobi87 yep. but i added fresh cream so it becomes meltingly delicious ;D try <3

  • is it okay if i substitute fresh cream with milk???

  • @thirty6second oh, not really... it is not thick enough.

  • Hi! Thank you always for your videos! I like to try out most of your recipes:)

However, one question concerning this recipe.

I know chocolate lasts for weeks, but since it has cream in it, how long would this be okay?

I'm thinking of going against the tradition and making my girlfriend some chocolates, but I'm worried if these would do since I have to mail the chocolates (>_<)

  • @tooka2 it lasts for about 3 days. maybe not a good idea to ship it X(

  • @ochikeron Aww, thats too bad :( Thanks for the reply :)

I wonder if I could substitute the cream with butter+milk mixture, or with coconut cream to make it last longer?

I'm worried what it would taste like(>_<)

  • Can you give the amount of chocolate in a different form please? I don't have a scale to measure the amount of chocolate.

  • @lilmochieater1 It seems that in the description the amount of chocolate is given in grams and ounces. If neither of these are good you could try to google "How many X is 100g", and insert your measure of weight in place of X :)

Be careful not to measure chocolate in how many cups it is, since that is a measure of volume and then the weight varies a lot depending on the form and shape of chocolate.

  • btw, what does it taste like with the sake in?

  • @ttmuathu not a big change like rum because sake is not that strong in flavor. hehe

  • 4 people aren't getting anything for valentine's day :P

  • what does the Ginjo sake do to the chocolate? An can't wait to try it!!! :)

  • @Legs51a just for fun ;) so you can skip it. hehe

  • how long can this be stored? I want to make this and mail it to my boyfriend... don't know if it will rot when it gets there... also, what kind of rum would you suggest?

  • @cinnayum rum for cocktails are okay ;) if in winter you can send but if the weather is warm, i don't recommend to send it X( it lasts for about 3 days but in the fridge or cold temperature.

  • nice!!!! love it! it's so inspiring, especially the origami box. i never think about it before. anyway, why did you put butter inside the chocolate?

  • @flocentury it makes it extra rich, but it is optional ;)

  • I tried origami cooking paper and baking a cake but fail...

now i understand can use origami to do chocolate dessert~ thank you so much ochikeron~ ^u^

  • @samewish really!? it is not for baking. hehe don't forget to line the plastic wrap ;)

  • OMG! definitely im going to make this recipe :O!

its so easy and looks very delicious!!! arigatou!!! :DDDD

keep making more of these videos! ^^

  • @valerithaful thank you :D i'm glad to hear that!!!

  • im only 15 and i made this... i made it when i got home after school. it was really good and really easy. thank you! you now have a new subscriber

  • @TheAwkwordPair thank you!!! i remember i made this for my friends when i was at your age. but without sake. hehe

  • :D I might make this

  • Haha , oh the irony. i just went shopping and found a scale for $7 , needless to say im going to make this again!

  • since its for valentines day then wouldnt putting it in a heart mold make it seem more loving ? this is just a suggestion.

  • @mczhou222 absolutely ;) ♥

  • As i posted earlier it was in the fridge, abd it stayed in the fridge for 5 hours! It didn't firm up at all. Maybe its because i dont know how to measure grams or whatever, i just measured a little less then a cup of chocolate, or maybe its because i didnt used sake and it was too thick, oh well.

  • @Rwsfan101 really?! sounds like you put too much fresh cream?!

  • This is SOOO CUTE :3 I can't get over how simple and cute it is XD We have Meiji chocolate sold in some US stores and it is so smooth and good!!! A lot of the time I like Meiji better than hershey's (I guess that would be US's Meiji brand...LOL) especially the MeltyBlend cubes they are so good hahahaha

  • @GeturOwn yes! the melty ones are good :D and i am happy to hear that you like japanese chocolate. so do i ;) hehe

  • この箱のつくり方初めて知った。

  • they kind of look like brownies

  • YOU'RE LIKE THE COOKING MAMA ! :D <3 i love you videos !

  • The chocolate wont melt if i leave it at room temperature for a few hours right? Want to make them but worried they'll melt before I meet my friends at school since we have a late class.

  • @CatherineKool if it's in winter there is no problem but not recommended in the hot weather X(

  • THAT LOOOOOKS SO GOOOOOD :d ! I WANT SOME!

  • The chocolate is in the fridge now, I am soo excited to see how this will turn out! -3

  • Is this chocolate like fudge?

  • @chochotraingurls it is more like ganache ;)

  • I bought some origami paper from my local craft store this morning. I will make the box and some chocolate! What a cute idea, thank you!!!

  • @IndyGDN27 nice :D

  • Grr. I want this song but it's not on iTunes and I can't find it on the website.

  • @pianotiff thank you ;)

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial~!! My boyfriend is Japanese so I'm going to surprise him with these! :) hehe

  • @xoGIORGIxo that sounds great :D

  • You look distinctly retarded with that bow.

  • @ochikeron do you knowhow the make a stawberry tart?

  • Your bow is so cute! Where did you get it? :)

  • @xxonspotlight i got it at shibuya 109 ;)

  • That is such a fantastic idea for a Valentines gift and the little boxes are perfect to put other things in. Thank you so much for such a great tutorial!

  • @teancakes1 you are welcome!!!

  • OHMYGOSH I have that origami paper :) I got so excited when I saw you were using the same stuff I have :p

  • @MikuraMitsumeara really?! hehe

  • kyaaaaaa~~ I'm going to do this for my boyfriend ^^ Thanks so much! It looks so delicious and adorable!!

oh,,, if I use a more expensive chocolate rather than a cheaper chocolate, will it taste better?

Thanks!! You're my favorite Youtube chef~

  • @dailyorangejews sure ;) hehe
