  • sometimes a painful relationship is hard to give up, but once you're out of it and healthy your not going back to it no matter how much you might still care for that person

  • I DO like LB as a songwriter - have 4 of his solo albums- but was thinking just this night (listening to Out of the Cradle) he doesn't exactly write EPICS or anything close.

Some of my faves of his I actually find a good deal of humor in (which ain't a bad thing at all!)

Stevie prob wrote better songs - prob 3 or 4 would make my top 50 (Fleet-mac & solo).

He's a real good arranger and gtrist.

I remember him saying how -on Rumors during the split- he's be left to turn her ideas into songs...

  • So genuine. Incredible talent and such a joy to listen to as he progresses into his later years!

  • beyond incredible on the guitar

  • Lindsay & Stevie back together - amazing. . .

  • Stevie does seem detached - competent but not there...no acknowledgement of the audience. LB, as always, a treat to watch and listen to. Great upload - thnx.

  • @neurofire She hates his guts.

  • @dontlabelme001 Her artistic temperament - or what? I watched it again after reading your comment and her body language does strike me as unfriendly - whats the story?

  • @neurofire Lots of history...young lovers...struggling to break into the business..all gossip of course, but I heard her say in an interview many years ago that she supported them both for years, and she resented the fact ...felt she actually passed up many opportunities to leave him behind, and he was a bit of a prima donna...Two sides to every story, of course.

  • das ist music

  • Does anyone else think he sounds a tad choked up during the little introduction for Stevie. Cute :)

Going to see LB in December, so excited ! Can't wait to see the man live !

  • Stevie just ruined what was otherwise an incredible performance.

  • Ewww glee did a remake? they always have to ruin golden songs

  • getting amped to see Mr B next week...

  • Now that was a frosty handshake....

  • Who is "Glee"? Ah...plzzzz don't tell me!!! All I care about is that I have loved this song for many, many years, since I am old enough to have grown up with this music. Saw them perform this on my 30th birthday. And it has special meaning for me today. Love you Lindsey and Stevie!!! <3 <3

  • RUMOURS....every track is an absolute pop lesson

  • @TheBitterSweetgr not only a pop lesson. A life lessons to probably.

  • @WatchYourAttitude you think so??

  • @TheBitterSweetgr well yeah. The songs they made are about their life, their mistakes. If you know the story behind the songs you might get a lesson from them.

  • @WatchYourAttitude ...then you mean a love lesson.....cause that's what they were writing mostly about.....well to tell you the truth lyrically the Mac never drove me crazy....apart from some of Stevie's contributions on mysticism and welsh witches....on the other hand musically they drive me nuts...I love them...as much as I adore them in their late 60's-early 70's psychedelic period...

  • I like Glee & so do my kids. I love Fleetwood Mac & this music. Any show that can bring a variety of music, old & new is ok. I think Lindsey & Stevie are both wonderful.

  • @GeorgeCrosley... see my previous comment. I honestly misunderstood your meaning. Having said that, I think Stevie was mailing it in on this performance. I've both seen and heard better versions, including seeing Mac do it live.

  • @Incarnadine42 No problem. Thanks for the clarification.

  • I apologize, George, I honestly misunderstood you there. I thought you meant "affect" in the sense of "affectation", which is fake emotion, more or less, and thought you meant it had an "effect" ON you. My bad. Also: still fuck Glee.

  • Did you mean "affecting" or "effecting"? Two completely different things. Also: fuck Glee.

  • @Incarnadine42 I don't make many mistakes and I didn't make one here. What's your point? From the Oxford American Dictionary: "affecting adj. touching the emotions, moving" How would "effecting" apply to a music video?

  • @Incarnadine42

Honestly, I don't get all of the hate on Glee. Sure, it may not be your cup of tea, but you know what? It's introducing good music to the younger generation. If it weren't for Glee, we'd have a lot more people not knowing who bands like Fleetwood Mac, Journey, REO Speedwagon, John Lennon, and the like are. It sends a message about what good music really is.

I'd rather have teenagers bumping classic pop/ rock in their cars than fucking Ke-dollar sign-sha any day, thank you. >_>

  • at least with Glee they did it well and gave the Mac tons of exposure to a new audience!!

  • This song will long outlast "GLEE", ... trust me on that one ...

  • Glee ruined it.

  • yeah Baby!

btw I have never seen Glee but it cant be a bad thing if it introduces young kids to this kind of music :-)

  • How can anyone not love this?

  • Fuck Glee and every other mindless reality show on t.v.!!! Some of us didnt need a dumb ass show like Glee to discover good music because our parents had taste and raised us on good music. If you discovered this song by watching Glee, go smack your parents across the mouth. Thanks for your time.

  • @SirDonCoyote I love how you think glee is a reality show.

  • @mouthpiecejet he didnt say it was a reality show.

  • @SirDonCoyote

How about appreciating that a show like Glee is letting young audiences know about the awesome music of our times? I don't watch the show but I love that my teenage kids know these great songs and not just more Katy Perry.

  • WOW WOW WOW!!! Simply WOW!

  • Here is what I think:

I will preface this by saying that the day my musical horizons were expanded my freshman year of college (which feels like forever ago now), Rumors was one of the first classic rock albums I purchased. So it was a nice surprise when Glee had their FM episode.

If Glee brought you here, don't be afraid to say it. If Glee has done anything, its allowed for a generation to discover music they would probably have never given a second thought to.

  • 8 people wish they could play guitar.

  • I have always thought Lindsey B was underrated as a guitarist. This song illustrates that he has some good guitar licks.

  • I actually didn't know Glee done this before I searched it. Thumbs for that! :)

  • Perfekcja do bólu, to jest muzyka rzucająca na kolana. TYLKO : KOCHAĆ ! Pozdrawiam z WrocLOVE .

  • It's a strange case, don't you think? I mean.. a lot of people says "Glee didn' brought me here, Glee didn't brought me here.." All of you watch Glee and are afraid of recognise it? Cos you have to watch it to compare.. And seems like all of you knew the Glee version before entering here. It's just my opinion. I like both songs, but this is better.

  • great post

  • One of my favorite songs by Fleetwood Mac :) This makes me smile :)

  • how about i fuck glee in her asshole

  • Been a huge fan since I was 12. I'm 44 now and remember this song vividly! Thank you God for keeping these two around. It just proves, you get better with age ;)

  • Thumbs up if you knew this song before Glee.

  • @youvebenjaded Because I'm from Belgium and we don't have Glee here! ;-)

  • 8 people need to realize you can't beat the classics!

  • Eight people don't recognize good music apparently and this song has been blessing my ears since I was born in 85. Thanks mom and dad for raising me on REAL music!!!!!

  • I agree - Shocking that glee would even consider touching a masterpiece like this - LOVE THIS VERSION <3 Thank you for posting it !

  • Hang your head in shame if it's taken Glee to bring you to this song !!!!!! ;-)

  • I, for one, was reminded of this amazing song by My Name Is Earl.

  • Ok one, STOP TALKING ABOUT GLEE they butcher every song they re-do. No one should touch these guys. And two, STOP TALKING ABOUT JUSTIN BEIBER. He has nothing to do with this. People who bring him up on random videos of good music to say how much he sucks, you're helping his publicity 'cause there is no such thing as bad publicity. Stop talking about the kid and just let us enjoy the music please.

  • @jkgsparky And why did an old Fleetwood Mac song remind you of Justin Bieber...?

  • awesome video, great song, but then head to head straight over for a live 70's version! still got it.

  • yes he is good

  • I find it interesting that they were onetime lovers who managed to come together after breaking up in the name of music. That's very cool. I don't know how many people could have done this. They clearly had a passion for music which went beyond their personal relationship.

  • One of the finest guitarists that's strapped one on...

  • I hate when Glee lovers show up here. If it were not for Glee you wouldn't be here, so just stop talking and get the hell out of here.

  • A Love story that never ends. Two soulmates linked forever.

  • Glee is a great show. They do good covers of really amazing songs. To be honest if it weren't for Glee, teens wouldn't be going and looking up the original versions of songs like this one. Glee haterz go away :) The original will always be better. But its good to educate today's youth about amazing music :)

  • sounds straight from the heart....

  • don't know how anyone could compare these 2 ROCK STARS with the cast of glee, i haven't seen the show but i've seen Stevie and Fleetwood Mac and no one can come close to being anything like these 2 LEGENDS......ROCK ON STEVIE <3<3

  • @jkgsparky He probably can't even wash his own ass for that matter :-D

  • Once again.. Lindsey is an abusive ASS! Talent, yes... that does NOT forgive his bullshit... you people are so blind? Stevie Rocks this world in Spirit, mind and soul....NO ONE will for get HER.... everyone will forget lindsey.

  • OMG...@jkgsparky: You are hilarious! And SO, SO right!!!!!!

  • stevie nicks, in my dreams every night......hubba hubba hubba

  • THE GUITAR. IS SO. AMAZING.

  • @plalelal I love fleetwood mac, just find the names to be funny :))

  • @jkgsparky although he might enjoy it.

  • @jkgsparky so true

  • Lindsey has improved with age.

  • took me a while to realise the womans name was stevie...

  • I wouldnt have a go about Glee singing this song. It doesnt matter whether you like glee or not, the whole point is to show people now how good the music was then, Rumors is an Epic albulm and the more people who listen to the orginal the better.

  • A guy named Lindsey and a chick named Stevie.

  • @Pett3r Where you been? Go listen to Fleetwood Macs Rumors album! Great music!

  • It's admirable that a saccharine show like Glee took on "Rumours" but it was still Glee doing it, which somehow emphasized all that is utterly hollow and soulless in popular music today. My wife had me watch it, and it's a testament to the original material that I sat through the auto-tuned renditions. When are people going to wise up and demand real singing and playing again?

  • there was another recording of this song on youtube where at the end when lindsey sings "been down the times" at the end, he doesn't fuck it up like on this one (not that this isn't a great performance) and it's probably the most powerful vocal demonstration i've ever heard in my life. does anyone know what i'm talking about or have a link? i can't find it anywhere!

  • "Been down one time..."

thank you for posting this beautiful performance -- great Gift

  • im 20.. im a guitar player.. he inspired me to play guitar. he's my hero!

  • Riveting performance by the two central protaganists who were the focus of the emotionally tangled creativity that sparked the RUMOURS album.

  • This is my most favorite song by Buckingham and no matter how many times I listen to it I cannot get enough. His vocals are amazing and his finger picking style on the guitar is spectacular.

  • desperately trying to teach myself this on the guitar, its just so beautiful!

  • Stevie Nicks is timeless! Love her..

  • I want to play the guitar

  • 7 deaf people...

  • 7 people went back

  • 7 people Comeback Again

    Bastards

  • Awesome video...thanks for posting so we could share. I love Fleetwood Mac but especially these two, they should still be together!

  • Ahhhhh, i still have such a crush on him. Since i was about 8. :) Still hot, still an amazing voice... but really married! :) So i'll just continue to adore from afar :)

  • DAMN! I would be that man's sex slave!

  • @jkgsparky Why should everything be compared to Bieber?

Fleetwood Mac and Justin Bieber-music are two completely different things!

  • dear god i love stevie nicks.

  • Shared, Kayla... you missed the part about how abusive that sob is... notice the scar in her face? a*** did that to her.. talented he may be, but he never wants to see me. She's been THE Most Wonderful to me forever.. he'd not play again. Period.

  • @SirTrews34 - HEY! That is just... never say something like that about another human unless you can back it up 50 ways from Sunday! Or are you just trying to stay in the theme of "Rumours"?!

  • @amylh322 As awesome as Rumors was.. NO.. I am not.. Listen to the interviews, as few as those are..one on one.. no one will ever prove it.. because NO one reported it.. listen... if you're a Stevie fan, you listen close to the words, yes? Much in there.. take that into an interview.. listen close again with out music.. and LOOK.. Talented he is.. but doesn't deserve her. I'm sorry.. I did not mean to offend.. but when I saw that.. I was certainly PO'd! be well.

  • I'm sorry. I love Glee, but there is no way that they portrayed the raw emotion of Fleetwood Mac's music. The love that Stevie and Lindsey share is just too epic.

  • @KaylaGA1429 Well if it wasn't for Glee I'd never have heard this song. Fleetwood Mac are well before my time and my parents never listened to good music when I was a kid so I didn't really know much about them. I knew of them but never really listened. And Glee showed me how good they were.

  • Love how Stevie comes out and shakes Buckinghams hand. Like lets get down to the masterpiece.

  • Lindsay Buckingham is one hell of a musician!

  • GLEE. just saying :)

  • LOVE the guitar part on this song.

And yes, Glee brought me here, but I knew this song before I saw it. Glee just reminded me of how awesome it was.

  • @FOREVERALONE108 Glee had a team of guitarists to make the same sound. Linds does it alone.. with talent.

  • @jkgsparky Well, he might be able to, if you got him a ladder or something.

  • One of my top 10 favorite songs!

  • thumbs up if glee brought you here !

  • @Teitoz

being a fan of good music brought me here...

  • Funny how lindsey is generally a girls name, and Stevie is kinda a guys name.....just saying lol.

  • glee anyone?

  • glee.

  • Hauntingly beautiful -- just stunning. THIS is what I call music; real artistry. I was inspired to search for this song after seeing a rendition of it on Glee tonight. Thanks to George Crosley for posting it. Made my day.

  • Some of the most beautiful music ever performed. I could listen to it a thousand times and never tire of it.

  • sometimes i feel fleetwood mac is seriously unappreciated

  • 19 years old. the guitar. their voices. their vibe. love it. end of story.

  • oh that guitar work goes straight to the soul

  • this is real music

  • Oh my God he strums the guitar so fucking effortlessly.

  • Beautiful.

  • @jkgsparky with his tounge

  • @jkgsparky

    justin biber is cat shite

  • gotta love how stevies a chick and lindseys a dude

  • oh i enjoyed this so much! always awesome to see your heroes still kick ass ^_^

  • @jkgsparky great post

  • ive grown old with these guys , great stuff

  • I love these 2 .. always wished they owuld have made it work personally..

  • @jkgsparky i agree, your kind of an idiot. sweet your comparing unrelated musicians to justin beiber. good work. i hate him too but its annoying as hell when people like you bring him into completely unrelated works

  • @neglectedtruth11.......I wish I gave two shits about what some person out in the world, whom I don't know, thinks about me.Do you know me?It was a simple comment about music then, and music now.....period.Now I'll restate my original thought,YOU can't wash MY ass.I'm not getting into pissing contests with "people" on youtube.Have a nice life, some stranger i'll never meet,or care to.

  • @m2eadams ....Thanks...I'll take that under advisement. Now go fuck yourself.

  • @m2eadams: It seems like in recent years -- a decade, maybe -- there's been like an overload of Competition in every area, with all the "reality shows" etc. People are bombarded with the idea that one must be Good compared to another one that is "Bad." Winners and losers. Ad nauseum. It's a very basic and uncomplex way to talk about things. With politicians routinely shouting each other down etc., there's a lack of positive, grown-up models for complex thought.

  • 1:58 - 2:40 ...now that there is just absolutely beautiful. awesome guitar work by a guy i never thought twice to listen to til i saw him live a couple years back. agreed, very under-appreciated...

  • Also a nice break for the soccer mom's who are bombarded with soulless Mylie Ray Bieber crap.

  • 6 ignorants !

  • @jkgsparky Thank you! you are SO right.

  • @jkgsparky he wants to though. You started it

  • Never get tired of this song. Thanks for posting.

  • Passion-Goosebumps-Beautiful.

only 213000 views, I can not believe this.

Youth do not now what good music is.

Look at the views of Lady BLA BLA

    scandalous.

  • @newwildyork im 15 & i love rock/metal from the 60s-90s some young ppl do know real music not alot though

  • Lindsay was great, Stevie looked like she wished she could be anywhere else. Not a big FM fan, but I looove this song.

  • Welp, guess we've found 5 people with zero appreciation of music.

  • wonder if she feels guilty about this song ... its about her ...

  • @sorcerer1975 "After a short fling with a New England woman, he was inspired to write "Never Going Back Again", a song about the illusion of thinking that sadness will never occur again once feeling content with life. The lines "Been down one time/Been down two times" are in reference to the lyricist's efforts when persuading the woman to give him a chance.[17]"

  • How is it possible to 'not get tired' of a song after 34 years? Absolute masterpiece!!

  • These two have such a chemistry , they will die loving each other but not together, but in music they are always together.

  • i like every kind of music rap, country, disco, new rock, heavy metal, classic rock, but this is by far the best song ever

  • Thanks for sharing!!! Great song!!!

  • Lindsey Buckingham is a guitar god ! No doubt ! The acoustic version of "Big Love" is a classic ! Peace Ye`all

  • he's the greatest guitar player ever... he'll never get the credit, but no one can out play him

  • espectacular!

  • I'd never even thought about looking for Lindsey Buckingham live and solo! I assumed he was just a great voice that made a large part of Fleetwood Mac what it was (GREAT!) made his $ and scrammed. This reminds me that music lovers must keep their ears open and be prepared for 'discovering' something magical when you thought you'd heard it all. I 'found' Nick Drake early but I'm jealous of those who did so late. Lyndsey's playing here makes me think of Paul Simon. He wouldn't mind the comparison.

  • Timeless classic

  • Amazing how a song as old and timeless as this still has comments nearly daily...

Goes to show that REAL MUSIC still gets the attention it deserves,, and this is coming from a 20 year old =]

  • @matthewbboy I completely agree and I'm 16 xD lol, real music knowers are going to comment on the ebst music that ever existed hopefully for eveer! Because this new 2000 crap it aint music... most gotta steal lyrics or remake a song by these REAL MUSICIANS! cuz they don't know what to wright. well to me anyways the new stuff is crap! 60'70's and 80's stuff that's the real thiing! :)

  • @matthewbboy so true, I'm 17 and I can't get enough of this music, guess my mom did something right ;)

  • @matthewbboy Agreed :) This is some music i remember falling asleep in the car my mom singing to this as a child 10 or more years ago

  • she didn look too thrilled to see him on stage. I bet they still fight like cats and dogs. A true LOVE HATE relationship.

  • Thanks for posting this clip. Such a moving song for some reason. Takes me back! Is that a bit of Poco's "Crazy Love" that Buckingham references in his guitar solo?

  • Just magnificent. Picked up right where they left off. They fit each other perfectly. A rare treat and treasure.

  • poor stevie looks soo bored

  • would love to hear Lindsey and Mark Knopfler on guitar together.

  • Two of the greatest talents the world has seen. Could watch them forever.

  • i never get tired of this ... simply beautiful ...

  • what a bittersweet duet.that song between them has more history than social studies bo....a whole fuckin library of history books.but that is some kind of love.

  • I love the way Lindsey plays the guitar in this song; always loved Fleetwood Mac as a band ~ ;o)

  • One of the best guitarists I have ever heard

  • Buckingham-Nicks!

  • Maravillosa presentación...

    Wonderful performance...
