That was a Hell of a Joke. Maybe that issue of Ebony was in April, the April's Fools edition. That girl is blacker than I am. Her father is pretty damn Black , mom's a bit lighter but still Black. My hair has the same texture as Beyonce's and my skin's lighter than hers by 2 or 3 shades, but I don't claim other races. If people look in the mirror and take an old picture sometimes you may find subtle canges in their appearance. i.e may have got a little lighter or darker. lips might get a little thinner. Or if we put on or loose weight can subtly change our appearance. I dont know why people automatically assume plastic surgery. In the end does it matter. I'm no painting but once i put some makeup and a weave i look better.

Incorrect; mixed is not when both of your parents are of two different races, It simply implies that you share more than one racial inheritence meaning that your parents can both be considered black even if one parent has some genetic domination of the white race, or any other race for that matter. The belief is that if you are not 100% white, you are not pure and therefore must be considered anything except white and this my friend is where they arrived at the term "mixed".

Wigs are worse than weaves? My aunts went through the sixties wearing mile high wigs. If you look through weave catalogs, you'll find most of the hair comes from asia and is not synthetic. It takes a long time to grow out African hair which is why weaves and wigs are so popular. Even white girls with curly hair will straighten their hair.

A lot of these magazines lighten people as a standard part of their retouching. Its without any consent from the subject and is done to all sorts of people not just black people. I have read Nelly Furtado claim that they have lightened her without her consent. It is testament to the sickness of white people and their general hatred of others.
