I rememeber skating in a church parking lot when I was a kid. I heard some hardcore music coming out of the church. It was these guys. They invited me in to watch them jam out. I remember thinking it was a bummer that they were Christians. I liked Agnostic Front and Slap Shot. I shoulda liked this, but FUCK THAT CHRISTIAN NOISE!
NIV, along with 6 Feet Deep, Focused and Unashamed, are some of the most brutal hardcore bands in this genre of "Christian" music. Simply amazing, though NIV's music has changed & mellowed somewhat over the years. Still good, but less brutal. Those other bands I mentioned, sadly, VERY sadly, are defunct.
@jesusisbetter every record they put out was consistently heavier than the previous.. Tim mason came with a muddy down tuned thrash style and to burn again has heavy metal core parts. whatr you talking about?
