  • The sliders rock, but I didn't care for the corn-dogs.

  • Take a soak in the tub, take a hike... :)

  • @jnm2008

    All of them.

  • 9:45 - was that person supposed to be in the doorway?!?!

  • take his advice, burning hot oil hurts like a f*cking b*tch

  • No Alton, I LOVE the hat.

  • xD i better leave ...lol

  • 4 people were women who came back & busted their husbands

  • @heyidaroo 5 now

  • What brand of deep-fryer is that?

  • Your channel is truely inspiring! I have to give you a 5 stars! Love it so much. Let's stay in touch. Check out mine sometimes too!

  • i got my 2 yrold to say alton brown good eats after he said dinner when he saw the corn dog

  • 6:37 = FINALLY an answer to "Who let the dogs out?"

    It was Alton Brown.

  • 0:57 0_o!!!!!

  • "Next up we batter up" HAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • doesnt he say these are uni-taskers in a newer episode?

  • @zhaneranger He says they're useless for tempura. Either way, he's doing this, IMO, because if you're going to go for a dedicated fryer, one should know what to look for and how to use it properly. Cast iron is still a good general-purpose fryer.

  • 9:43 back and to the right

    WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?

  • @yutzwagon2 No worries! The kitchen is set! It was probably one of his crew members. Or it could that one alien from Signs that strolls by during the poor kids birthday party....

  • @yutzwagon2 I think it was a stage hand sneaking onto the set to steal corn dogs and beer. That's what I'd do.

  • "The cook changes the oil every 3,000 meals." - Archie Bunker. A quote this episode reminds me of.

  • This is by far my favorite program on television. I do have to mention though that he often changes his viewpoint on things. for example, what he says here about deep fryers, easy to clean and able to keep at the temp u want. however, if u watch the tempura ep. youll see him say the exact opposite. :D great show, just find it interesting.

  • "Alton Brown, Man"

you can say that again ;)

  • And it's not just for guys...To me it looks like good ol' pub grub! :D

  • girls like Sliders and corn dogs too like me I love em

  • @Ichigosistershadow1 i love them too unfortunately when you eat a ton a bunch of cheerleaders look at me like i am a freak and tell me to eat salad in front of guys but what can a girl do i shall eat what i want when i want righy

  • @carmanshuey

i cant tell that ur fat too. lol

  • I have food OCD. I like to be thorough. So corndog batter. DAMN YOU TO HELL!

  • wonder if is wife likes this episode after some of things he said

  • @carmanshuey

why do u girls get so offended all the time for the smallest reasons???

  • @mjprimetime23 i was making a joke i happen to like the man food show and i am a girl so don't assume i got offended it was a joke

  • @carmanshuey

yes u did dont lie to me

  • @mjprimetime23 your just acting like a troll i was making a joke for laughs i am not offended i agreed with half of the things he said dude your over reacting so this is our last message for i am against starting arguments over petty things on the internet especially on something on a cooking show get over it bye bye now and i hope you grow up

  • @carmanshuey

    lol skank

  • @Emcmillin09 lol very true :P

  • im eating sliders with blue cheese and spicy ketchup

  • lol kids in a sandbox at 10:26

  • What brand of fryer did Alton buy?

  • The corndog recipe is not good eats, love you AB but it is not great

  • why is it impt to not overmix the batter? They keep saying just to moisten. Is this the same for cakes?

  • @mermaidstar7 This is a good question - the flour will mix with the water and create gluten, which will make the batter chewy.

In cakes/muffins the same thing happens.

  • Yeah, Alton is going pornographic. As for the other comment, since when can you deep-fry in a Dutch oven?

  • Of course you can deep-fry in Dutch ovens. They are great for that purpose.

  • I'd say 90% of the deep frying done on the Food Network is done in Dutch Ovens (or any deep cast iron vessel), regardless of the chef.

  • I misheard him at first, I thought he said the corndog "has his dick shoved in it."

  • I love this show

  • Beer in the OJ FTW

  • good old fucking southern corn dogs!! Amen!

  • haha you can see some staff wandering around in the background at 9:46!

  • one of my favorite episodes, along with the pickling one

  • Good Eats FTW!!!

  • @ebaulylod what does FTW mean?

  • For The Win

  • @LikeTheHat or F*&$ the world.

  • you fail

  • get off my internets.

  • 4:14 i actually have that digital fryer. it doesnt go any higher than 375 degrees but its very bad ass.

  • Bravetti Model: Platinum Pro5-Liter Flash Flyer Price: $90.00

  • GAWD I WANT A CORNDOG!!! My bf could give me a corndog in bed...lol... I'd love it!

  • heh, i'm sure he'll give you a corndog ;]

  • i mainly had to just watch this for fun cuz i don't have the money to buy most of the fancy schmancy gadgets that he uses so often

i mean i'm not gonna buy a fryer just for corn dogs

  • Yeah, although sometimes the concepts he discusses are nice. I'm now thinking I should use a metal strainer when I do frying.

  • You could just get a dutch oven.

  • It's funny when Alton dons his macho persona because, for some reason, I imagine he isn't anything like that in person.

  • people can deep fry 12343123124 things. your brain is small.

  • What the crap are you talking about?

You are just typing random numbers to sound smart, aren't you?

When silksarii said deep fryers are unitaskers it means it can be only used for one thing, deep frying. It can't be used for cooking rice or anything else, watch the show and stop ranting about everything jleed3.

  • I get you. Don't worry about "those" guys.

  • deep fryer = unitasker?

  • Unfortunately sometimes a unitasker is a necessary one

  • You can fry anything. It is not specific to one food. You could probably rig it to do other things, too.

  • Red hotdogs are soooo much better

  • tell us more about these reds...

  • Idk red hotdogs are just really good, they aren't in a lot of states, its kinda a like maine thing I guess, but idk.

  • I tried out is Corndog recipe, Instead I Chopped the Onion instead. I left out the Cream Corn (yuck!!) and replaced it with the same amount of Water spiked with 1/2 tsp of Kosher Salt. In the Dry part added 1 tsp of Cayenne Pepper and 1/2 tsp of Paprika

  • i luv that show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • don't know if its been said...

    "I could care less"

nope, this bothers me more than almost any other expression... could NOT care less, if you can care less, come back when you can't care any less. by saying "I couldn't care less" you are saying, "This is the least I can care about something, its that non-relevant".

  • iv thought the same thing everytime i watch this thing but i thought maybe i was wrong lol

  • I wonder how many women actually left the room when this aired.

  • @jnm2008 I didn't.

  • mmm, beer, corn dogs, and mini burgers. perfect for the Super Bowl.

  • That ferris wheel is fast! Oh god. I'm getting sick just looking at it. And I want a corn dog now.

  • Fletcher's corn dogs is still around. You can only get them at the texas state fair. They're still made the same way, and I gorge myself on them every year. The first, and still the best

  • damn what a G.

  • 5l isnt that large for a fryer. The square shaped ones are normally 3.5l,

  • Did he say a 5 litre capacity??? that is HUGE!!! that's like... 21 cup capacity! which converts to a capacity of... near 2.5 gallons? That is a BIG fryer, I don't even know where you can find a fryer that big...

  • 5 liters is only 1.3 gallons not 2.5 gallons.

  • sorry... i guess i misread my math there...

  • I'm sure he doesn't fill it all the way, the size is probably for splash guard.

  • Mini man burgers....... i wouldnt call them that....kinda reminds me of herald and kumar 2.................

  • I had to pause at 1:30 cause I'm laughing so hard. He pulled a beer out of the orange juice. HHAAAAHAHAAHAHAAHAAHHAAHAHAHA.

  • i know! it was a little random. haha its like Get Drunk on OJ????

  • @MourningsEnd Hell yeah!!!

  • Lol- I watched this anyway.

    CORNDOGS ARE DELICIOUS, YOU KNOW.

    :)

  • lol he pulls a beer out of the juice

  • go steelers

  • I kinda like fat guys

  • This episode is for the guys! :D

  • Or us Tomboy Girls too~ Because I don't like to be prissy and watch my "intake" I like to get dirty and eat like the boys do too~ :D

  • fuckin call me babe lol

  • shes probably fat.

  • It may just be a hot dog dipped in batter and fried, but MAN IS IT DELICIOUS! :D

  • correction: It's Good eats!

  • no...it's Great Eats!

  • fear no more, i have had a corn dog

  • wow... you havent lived till you eat a corndog...

  • I love good eats, and when my family and I started to watch this episode of G.E. my mum actually left the room!! LOL about the third commercial she found out what was going on.

  • that's funny schultz234, what was your mum's reaction when she realized what was going on?

  • She was kinda mad that we didn't teller her about it, but she kinda laughed about it.

  • And a delicious merry christmas to you as well, Likethehat!

  • very funny... Alton Brown us such a guy's guy.. lol

  • this is one of my favorite episodes.

  • That bear out of the glass of Orange juice is just classic.

  • Beer i mean not bear.

  • a bear out of a glass of orange juice would be classic too.

  • Wow...... I'm going to spend the next few days imagining that. And fearing OJ.

  • that's alot of effort just for home made corn dogs. I bet they taste unnelieveable though. I'd eat 30 in one sitting.

  • Didn't you already upload this one?

  • I love corn dogs. My mom and I tried making them once but they came out a complete disaster :(. The oil was to hot so the batter burned and the hot dogs weren't done but we had fun anyway. Maybe we should have tried it the Alton Brown way.

  • XD! That happened to me once when I tryed to make hush puppies!

  • Very Nice! and Manly! Thanks for uploading the next episode so quickly. 5 stars all the way.

  • mmm corn dogs
