Everyone always talks about the amazingly superior competition Ali faced. I never agreed with that. Ernie Shavers? Great puncher, hardly a great fighter. Patterson? He was pushing 40 when he faught Ali. Ron Lyle? Well, OK, whatever.
As for foreman, I never really understood his appeal. The man was slow as shit and moved like Frankenstein. And as for Frazier, Ali essentially lost 2 of 3 to Frazier, having won one of the bouts through a fluke of Frazier's team keeping Frazier in the corner.

But i think if anyone have it in him (if he is deep down real fighter) he can go directly to some trainer and i think if he have real talent and heart no professional trainer would deny to train him. Check where and how he trained, there are no SUPER LOOKING COOL gym's or some glamour places. Simple room with simple bags, nature for long distance runs and haaaaard training. I think athletes need to get to those kind of training so new top fighters emerge. My opinion only anyhow.

The fact is, that through no period of their career, has any fighter so convincingly dominated their opponents. Part of the reason that Tyson is under-rated, is because he hit his peak early (before he even won his first belt).

I wish Mike would've told this story in his documentary. Mike has never talked about this, but shortly after it happened, Cus fired Teddy Atlas and sent someone to Brownsville to find Mike. This was when Kevin Rooney (a former boxer) was brought in to be Mikes chief trainer.
Mike was conviced by Don King to fire Kevin Rooney after Don King saw Rooney on the Geraldo Rivera Show talking about Mike's personal life and how Robin Givens was making false accusations against Mike.

Check where and how he trained, there are no SUPER LOOKING COOL gym's or some glamour places. Simple room with simple bags, nature for long distance runs and haaaaard training. I think athletes need to get to those kind of training so new top fighters emerge. My opinion only anyhow.

@nemanjaarsic1 I wouldent say that they were ALL simple training spots. For Carl "The Truth" Williams Tysons camp was held at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. Not exactly a dive! Tyson was the badest man on the planet but had good taste as well.

@NazTheGreat I don´t know if it´s true. One guy that wrote on my channel said that the video is probably edited but in the video it looks like some go down before he hits them. I don´t know if some of Tyson`s fights were fixed but I know that like Mafia guys and bookies used to fix fights so they would win money. That doesn´t mean that I´m less of a fan of Tyson and I have been a fan of him for many years and I really don´t think he raped Desiree Washington.

Tyson's severely under-rated by boxing historians. Of course, these historians are usually old men, whom like to believe the greatest boxer came from their own time, and justify their opinions through laudable protocols. The fact is, that through no period of their career, has any fighter so convincingly dominated their opponents. Part of the reason that Tyson is under-rated, is because he hit his peak early (before he even won his first belt).

Tyson in his prime was the ultimate force in boxing. he would have destroyed all other legends of heavyweight boxing very very easy... he is the greatest of all time!

I wish Mike would've told this story in his documentary. Mike has never talked about this, but shortly after it happened, Cus fired Teddy Atlas and sent someone to Brownsville to find Mike. This was when Kevin Rooney (a former boxer) was brought in to be Mikes chief trainer.
Mike was conviced by Don King to fire Kevin Rooney after Don King saw Rooney on the Geraldo Rivera Show talking about Mike's personal life and how Robin Givens was making false accusations against Mike.
