Turkish Cypriots voted in 2003 for reunification of the island while Greek Cypriots didn`t!!! They r (Majority) not after peace. Just like they weren`t during the 1960`s. I am a Cypriot Turk and I can say that what you have stated is false. The North is full for people who want to unite with their Cypriot Brothers. As I recall we said yes for the Annan plan and the Cypriot Greeks said no ( although they had their reasons).
Oh yeah i recall the Annan plan. Are you insane? That plan was the worst thing it could happen. We want a solution NOW but we will not accept something that will bring chaos to the island. Did you even read it for Christs sake? It stated that whatever decision would be made it should first pass from the Turkish Cypriots who are the 17% of the population! The rest of the 80% are in the mercy of 17%! We are peacefull people thats why we give you electricity, water and money! Did you know that?

We went to the North to escape attack from the Cypriot Greeks. As you may recall, this is how things went out:
The two communities were living peacefully
Cypriot Greek community fight over ENOSIS
British sent in Turkish Cypriots as police officers to stop the figihting
Resulting in the Cypriot Greek community fighting with one another and with the cypriot turks
Then turkey came stopping the fighting but splitting our island and bringing in Turkish immigrants
