This game ive been playing the trial this is the best mmo out and i have tried most also the amount of content that you can play before you have to pay is quite a good amount the combat system is unique and doesent just have you waiting for the ability to recharge the graphics are decent (mmos cant have great graphics) you can be a few cool barbarian looking characters like viking or scotland people from braveheart i just hope that people continue to play it even with swtor coming out soon

Funcom has to add dual build spec tables. Now you gotta respec each time when you PvP and PvE. Played AoC for 3 months and now 5 months cancelled. They gotta add that feature.

@All who think that aoc will come out for the 360: Face it, it is not gonna happen since the lack of corporation between funcom and microsoft. To be able to get it to 360 they need to work together with microsoft.

it will come. It has been delayed because the hardware in Xbox 360 can't handle what AoC requires. They will release it for the next-generation Xbox.

There is a trial yes, I think 7 days for the general public.. even though there is a 14 days trial too for various cases.

And the population isn't what it was at first obviously, but many servers has been merged so you never really feel alone, it's definitely not ghost servers :P

its a way fun game, i just quit world of warcraft after 4 years of playing it 3 days ago, and i would have to say its pretty damn amazing, yes you better have a good computer to run it, i run about 30fps with all the graphics maxed out on it, while WoW was running 100 for me.

I also believe strongly that AOC is better than wow. Wow has the bigger name, and has been on the market far longre than Aoc, which has been out for about a year and a half.  I've played both extensively, and Aoc definitely has a better combat system. There is much depth to Aoc that I would believe that most wow players would not want you to know about. Both games are very strong, but personal likes and dislikes aside, Aoc has merit, and is a great game.

Fishy I've been playing since release and kept playing and the game is amazing now! And i agree the release hurt especially with lag, the lack of solid content after tortage but its been a year and half and the devs update very frequently and the content is amazing now as well as the high end graphics seepage fixed as well. Its fantastic now, and I really enjoy it. It is not "could've been good", it is great now. That was march 2008, a year and a half ago when it released.

It plays a lot like WoW; there is some story to though, depending on what kind of character you choose. The graphics are possibley the best ever, but to be able to enjoy them fully you'll need some heavyduty computer equipment (I'm not much of a tech buff so I can't name exactly what kind). The abilities for each class are epic too!

It is a great game and worth at least checking out.

Eh.. that it doesn't work on your system doesn't mean that it doesn't work with Vista. The game is designed for Vista. It had a lot of stability issues at release, but now its mostly working fine - no frequent crashes or freezes. Of course there are still some technical issues left and if you have some of them check the official forums. Of course the problem may be with your system - not the game. Hardware issues - overheating? Or software problems - do you have ALL recent drivers and etc.
