  • you sound like arnold

  • @Skazzze

Lol i hope thats a good thing

  • One thing i dislike in this game that the maximum level is 30. Its boring because after lvl 30 i have no point in fighting random enemies, i can just choose the "leave them" option and do nothing. I also hate it that the monsters in my team always look so similar, because they all share the same colors and design, so they don't feel too unique in that sense. Either they're all green or all red and so on.

  • Honestly, this is perfect... its just TOWN SCREENS that will make it a good game... thats the inception of the series, the original idea... why take it away?

  • Oh and one more thing. FINALLY you have a control over you hero's development. It's a massive plus. I'm not sure why you prefer randomness over choice? Clearly it gives you a chance to try different tactics and makes game more strategic.

  • @paprykus

I just liked the randomness in the old games since every game you would get a different playstyle with the spells you got which i liked a lot

Now you (At least i do) take the same thing every game because its a lot better than most of the other stuff which i think ruins the fun.

Ofc its your own fault for taking the same things but why take things that suck?

  • @TueVlog But then you are not talking about game's mechanics but you're talking about balance. Clearly game is imbalanced atm therefore some spells and abilities are too strong. I would complain about balance more than about lack of randomness.Regards.

  • @paprykus

Tho i still like randomness more than the levelling system, its true what you say and i didnt really think of that in that way

  • @TueVlog Sure. Anyway - keep'em coming.

  • What do you think about ballance?

  • Nice review man but I think that you are a bit too harsh. Series of heroes is clearly evolving and in a good direction in my opinion. You seems to be resistant to whatever change there is to it (maybe you would just like to play hom&m 3 with 3D graphics?). Less resources is a plus imo - there used to be some maps in hom&m3 that you could play only with certain factions because one of the mines was missing for example.

  • 50% off on steam.

  • This game just looks like a simplified HOMM5 to me. 3 still remains the best, and 4 remains the worst, but this part has come very close to taking the worst of all position. Everything is just too simplified for my tastes, I dunno what they were trying to do(if they were trying to do anything at all). I hate what they did with Necromancy the most....I just loved stacking skeletons.

  • Its just too bad that so much resource was wasted on this outing for the franchise.. Hope they don't just up and quit altogether.. IMO:

    1) Keep the old system basics frm H3 + Battle & Creature tweaks ONLY frm newer 1s.

    2) Include Town Screens ffs!

    3) Graphics, graphics, EYE CANDY!!

    4) Someday, Random Map = Persistent mapping where the world generated as u explore. Within a set of variables/options..

    5) DON'T replace the sound-guy.. EVER!

    6) Keep the ring-of-control feature introduced in 6..

  • "..AI takes to long to finish their turn"

    - 1 of the main problems I faced.. Too bad :(. The "promise" felt really good, even got me to give the benefit of the doubt to this game (ovr & ovr). I can also tell how extended gameplay may b monotonous with the (otherwise well-intended) levelling system.. I guess the old formula (H:3) really covered the bases. They shud've just built on that! And NO town screens lol.. Clueless choice really, insightful as well x'(.. Nice review, thanks!

  • Thanks for a good review. I bought the game, but i gotta say ... this is the worst heroes game yet. They did 2 good things ... personalize the heroes more (at last), and make the battles more strategic. The rest is just ... well ... bad imo. (Should have tried the demo before buying(kicking myself)) :(

  • Thanks for the information. It sounds like the game number 6 is just like the latest pokemon games. You make a good game and then just try and pump as much money out if it over and over again, without caring to much about the quality of the game. While everyone agrees that the game gets boring fast, i think the most dissapointing thing for me is what you said that there is only 5 races.. Sounds like upcomming expantion to suck out more money.. I dont think i will purcase this game :/

  • WHAT? They removed the other resources? :(

  • @moonshiry

Yeah it kinda takes out some of the funness in Heroes tbh

  • @TueVlog hey im still considering whether to buy Heroes 6 or not, but i've been reading up alot about how the AI in the game cheats and it isn't on a fair playing field when the AI magically creates troops out of nowhere. E.g., you wipe out his main army and most of his forts but 2 turns later, he has an army from 1 fort that is even bigger than 5 forts of yours combined. Any thoughts about that?

  • @moonshiry

I have read a lot about that too but i havnt seen it myself so i can tell.

All in all Heroes of Might and Magic 6 is a fine game but in my opinion it gets monotonous really quick because of the way the leveling system works.

I played a lot when it came out and now i dont really play it since i find it boring and the AI takes to long to finish their turn

I dont want to sound negative. If you´re a Heroes fan i think you should get it :)

  • nice review, I subbed. There you go...now I know abot you. :P Keep the reviews coming :)

  • @Jonkata89

    Thank you kind sir! :D

  • Thanks for reviewing HoMM6, done well and like a champion. I also understand that you're from somewhere in Europe like Denmark or Sweden or Norway, the heavy players hehe. I'm glad I found this video, thanks!

  • @TheOblivionGate

Yeah im from Denmark :) Thank for the words :)

  • agree with the resources part and well alot of other parts... the third game I think is much better sadly...

  • first thing I heard was that you are danish! :D

  • I like your videos, you make me laugh. Nice review man, I like this game but it has a lot of bugs and seems like the developer missed a lot of things, like a decent tutorial for noobs to the series, and the engine is quite clumsy and sluggish, the interface is un-intuitive. It's a shame because the game is very nice to look at and the music is amazing (though i hear that it's just copied from the previous games which is kind of un-inspired) I hope they patch it soon and fix some of theissues.

  • @BludOund

1 day after the game came out they made a patch to fix some bugs and tweak some stuff and are planning to do it often so thats good i guess tho its like they know that their game got bugs but didnt really have the time to fix them before release

  • @BludOund every pc game has bugs and problems right after it's launch, wake up dude and get in with the now and quit complaining about things that are normal

  • Decent review, and I agree with you on most of the part. If I made a review I'd talk a short bit about the hot-seat mode and AI. I'd also talk in the beginning about the whole series. I played these games from Heroes 1 so I know how the games have evolved and changed :)

  • the saddest thing is this game has Zero strategy involved. none necessary and none available.

the Kings Bounty games have much more strategy involved and even they are lacking, BUT at least they do not cost $50.

you cannot customize an army at all in this game, you just upgrade and get as many as you can. once again, i can compare to Kings Bounty where you can choose every unit stack you want and weigh the benefits and disadvantages.

    i'm not a KB fan. i'm a strategy fan.

  • @TheRaellz

Thats true, but you havn´t been able to do that in any Heroes games have you?

  • @TueVlog i haven't played any others in years, but it's still listed as a Strategy/RPG genre. it's barely an RPG and definitely not a strategy game.

turn based chessboard-like games like this are great. FF Tactics for example i love it. i just don't see the hype behind this game. =/

i'm going to go try disciples 3: resurrection and see how that one is. good review by the way.

  • There will be new town screens in a patch the developers and publisher said that. I hope it comes this year.

  • @hahakocka

I hope so too and i really hope it will be an interactive town screen

  • Are you danish?

  • @MrShowgo1

Yeah i am. I know it´s easy to hear :p

  • @TueVlog Jeg er selv fra Danmark, så jeg kunne fange accenten.

  • Great review. Thanks

  • Nice Review!

  • @TueVlog - Great vids (I found you by this review first).

Can you answer a question about Homm-6 ... is there any random map skirmish for multiplayer? A mode where I spend most of my time :)

  • @wynams

There isn´t sadly. They might patch it in tho

  • I WANT IT!!!

  • @gnu4ever

THEN BUY IT!!! ... or download it :p
