  • lol michael moore seems smart enough, but when he was talking about how all main religions teach the same stuff, then included atheism into that and saying that all these religions (and atheism) say that we'll be judged cause of blah blah.

Umm...atheists don't have any kinda book or god that "says' what we do. Atheists aren't a unified group by any means, it just means that that person doesn't have a belief in a god

  • daay-um!!

bless michael!... fightin the good fight!

  • Michael Moore needs to stop eating at McDonalds and get a chin tuck with all the money he made off capitalism.

  • Go, Michael! What condescending pinheads! They don't get that our democracy has been so eroded. Yeah, hey, sincere good luck with your stupid movie, Michael.

  • I despise this American attitude of immediately jumping to socialism and communism when someone criticizes capitalism. They seem to think in black and white, and capitalism is white for them.

Also, when you ask a question, let them answer! Don't interrupt them every second because you have a gut feeling that his answer will clash with your worldview. I find it generally agonizing to watch american talkshows. Five people constantly shouting at each other with no respect or etiquette.

  • Michael moore forgets capitalism is what has enabled him to become a millionaire

  • @whiskeredtuna

Did Michael Moore actually criticize capitalism or capitalism as it is called these days, the legalisation of greed? This difference is important! Furthermore he earns his money by making an actual product the people decide to buy. There is no doubt that his argumentation has its problems, but I don´t think that you can accuse him as a [...]

  • @whiskeredtuna

    [...] hypocrite

And defending him does not mean that I like everythink he does. His movie also lacks of mistakes, as I have already said, generalizations and half.truths.

One example I would emphasize for that matter is how he treats the topic of derivatives in his movie. A huge generalizations, that is, in my opinion, inadmissible.

    [...]

  • @whiskeredtuna

If he would had gone after derivatives and speculation that has no connection to the real economy anymore, but became a end in itself, okay, but he overdraw it. Nonetheless his approach has a fair point, in my opinion.

  • @whiskeredtuna

By the way, the folks from CNBC seem to make the classical mistake again in mentioning to "live more in a France or Sweden or a socialist state". This only choice of capitalism or socialism doesn´t exist! I don´t like this black and white thinking. Life isn´t black or white, there are various shades of grey!

  • @Mallorca10100 So in other words, you're saying that our choices are: capitalism, socialism, or something in between? The average person's understanding of capitalism and socialism is indeed a one dimensional scale: either the government controls an industry or it doesn't. It's a shame that the "out of the box" thinkers aren't looking for alternative dimensions, but some nonexistent "balance" between the two most obvious extremes.

  • @casualdissent

I never said that I was thinking about a two-dimensional scale. That may be your interpretation of my statement, but that is not correct. I am annoyed about black and white thinking and that is why I´m saying that there are other options than just black or white!

  • @M You said that "[life] isn't black or white, there are various shades of grey!" Meaning that if socialism is white and capitalism is black, then you're complaining about people not seeing the "grey" options, i.e. things between capitalism or socialism. If that's all we have to choose from, then it's a one-dimensional political spectrum.

To say what it sounds like you're trying to get across now, might I recommend: "Life isn't red or blue, there are various shades of green!" etc.

  • This would introduce another element: a tint of yellow. Looking at gray when the only options are black and white just means you're looking for something in between. Sorry for the mix-up.

  • @casualdissent

No problem. I should have put it more clearly

  • @Mallorca10100 What the hell are you guys doing? Having a civil discussion? Reported for violating YouTube TOS.

  • @aluisious

What is your problem? Where did you actually see a violation of YouTube TOS?

  • @Mallorca10100 It was an ironic joke, buddy.

  • @aluisious

LOL, okay buddy, you totally got me there, I did not notice it. :D

  • @Mallorca10100 im not your buddy guy

    i keed i keed lol

  • @Mallorca10100 a south park episode, you guys reminded me of a bit from south park

    im not your guy buddy

well im not your buddy friend

yeah? well im not your friend guy

well im not your guy buddy

and so on and so on

nvm if you've never seen the episode lol

count me off as a crazy guy then lmao

  • @coltsrule5150

    LOL

Unfortunetely I have not seen that episode, yet. But as you described it, this kind of dialogue reminds me of Oceans 11, the scene where the balloons are in front of the security cam.

  • @casualdissent

Again, I wanted to express that people should differ from black and white thinking.

I don´t want to be tied down on your interpretation of my statement, but I admit that this phrasing was not clear enough. The solution may be on a scale between black and white, but it may also be a complete other solution.

  • @whiskeredtuna

[...] And the answer implies that they think of France and Sweden as socialist countries. Neither France more Sweden are socialist countries!

  • ahhh hypocrisy at its finest

  • @benopolly are you serious? That's like a mass murderer lecturing you on obeying the law. And as a brit, I certainly agree with you about america, people like you prove it. In europe we have been trying to marry capitalism and socialism. It has been hard but sweden provide an example of success which the US would do well to follow. However some form of capitalism IS needed, unless you have an alternative that works? Thought not.

  • I wish I had Michael Moore's money.

  • He's a great guy. I disagree, however, with the idea that is implied that Wall Street needs to be considering others from a religious stand point. You can have just as much concern for the well being of the less fortunate and all others around you without bringing religion into it. I love and care for others, but not because of religion or a god tells me to do so; I do because it works best for myself and the betterment of others around me.

  • Michael Moore owns. These guys' attacks suck. "We have to have capitalism!! And anything you propose that I don't like isn't true capitalism!!" It's religious adherence to a stupid system.

  • Great person!!!

  • i love the comments about Michael Moore and his millions. a question though, what exactly are the US churches, with their hundreds of BILLIONS, DOING. apart from lining their own pockets, diddly squat it seems.

  • Since when is Sweden a "socialist state"? Dafuq

  • @kojaksizzla what are we then?

  • @kojaksizzla i agree. americans have to see that they've got one of the most conservative government and parliament in the world. The democrats with its views would've been the right wing party in every european country.

  • @kojaksizzla rush limbaugh,

  • @jasontd1984 I understand his point, and it's a good one. However it is completely undermined by his own millions sitting in the bank, as he is the richest 1% and is not following the principles he wants to sell to us in his film (procedes of which go to him no doubt). If he has a problem with income distribution he has to act on it with his own money first, or he is a hypocrite who shouldn't be taken seriously.

  • @0TheGuru0 he is trying to show people capitalism sucks. i dont care how greedy he is, capitalism still sucks! sheash i try not get angry on the internet, but youtube comments is proof america has been truly dumbed down.

  • Typical "total capitalism or SOCIALISM" bs from the newscasters. It's not "burning your house down" to say it's not ok for hard working people to live in tar paper shacks.

  • So michael everyone is greedy are they? But where are all your millions of dollars? Feeding the poor? Curing aids? Or cancer? Errr no, in big houses and savings accounts. Typical hypocrite!

  • @0TheGuru0 compared to the wealthy mike is a broke ass bitch that is how crazy things gotten and with that money the wealthy pay for laws and bills to get passed in there favor is the whole point mike is saying so our votes are pretty much pointless

  • 4 on 1... thought michael moores brain did better than those 4 brains

  • I'm a member of the Church of Bill Maher :)

  • @macsreviews :) welcome

  • Michael Moore is one of rare people who has ba**s to say the truth. I wish he makes more movies and get more exposure.

  • @infuscolumen Michael Moore is a Millionaire thanks to capitalism.Hey Michael Pay off a few poor peoples houses for them! You FAT GREEDY FUCK!

  • @keggs1961 Yeah, maybe he is, but he still speaks the truth against greedy bast@rds instead of joining their club of privileged people.

  • @infuscolumen Instead of joining the privileged club? Why do you think he puts on his ball cap and flannel shirt?...so he can appear to be just like you and I!!!. He is the poster child for greedy bastards. Name one thing he has done to help anyone other than himself! He speaks of Jesus Christ and knows nothing of his teachings. As he stated he runs to the bank with every penny he gets. Did he mention helping a poor widower, or a neglected child. of course not...

  • @keggs1961 And you know that how? He has to advertise if he's giving his money away, and to do that on national TV? Seriously? Get real. He's one of the good guys, whatever yo say. I wish there's more people like him and Bill Maher.

  • @infuscolumen My God do you watch the videos or just post stupid crap. Listen again at 5:10 when he is asked what he does with his money. I agree with him as far as the system is biased to say the least. My point is he should lead by example. As I stated before I have heard of no foundations that he has started or contributes to that in any way help the poor. He is a Multi Millionaire because of Capitalism!

  • @keggs1961 Lead by example, like, tell the truth? What, you also want him to give aay his money to charity in public, so that EVERYONE can run to him and put their hands out, begging for some? 1) It's his honestly earned money, he can do with it whatever he wants. 2) He's not stupid to advertise on TV what he's doing with it. 3) If he's donating something, he might be doing it anonymously, which is the ONLY right way to do it, rather than sell yourself for doing it. Grow up.

  • @keggs1961 I realize you don't really care if MM donates to charity because your fucktard rightwing ideology dictates that you character assassinate him no matter what he does since he's a liberal in the public arena. It's well known he donates heavily to political campaigns of those he believes will help the poor/middle class if elected, and is always donating to the poor/homeless charities in Detroit (his poverty stricken hometown). He has donated: $200,000 to WikiLeaks founder...

  • (continued) ... Julian Assange; thousands of his books to libraries and cash to the American Library Associations Spectrum Initiative to recruit more minority librarians; 2.5 million dollars to Occupy Wall Street protesters, proceeds of screenings of his films to the “September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows” and “Military Families Speak Out”; Raising Malawi; Humanist Crisis Response program, and many others.

  • Lol! This guy, these people are jerkoffs and have NO IDEA that they constantly expose themselves just by talking... what they preach and how they live are opposites but yet they want you guys/us to believe them! At the very beginning they talk about how Michael Moore has earned 10's of millions of dollars, AND .... " you can smell the money when you walk in here " golf putting green in the lobby... swimming pool, hot tub... gym.... etc etc etc... give me a break, dont fall for these crabs....

  • 1:59: "There's a foreclosure filing once every seven and a half seconds."

Ah. I supposed you're going to tell me that these banks are sending people armed with AKs out to innocent civilians to force them to borrow 100,000 dollars on 25,000 dollar a year incomes, eh?

Take some personal responsibility for Christ's sake!

  • 1:10: "This movie is about the legalization of greed."

So if someone wants to be personally greedy they should be stopped? Are you fucking retarded?

1:15: "It's a system that encourages people to make as much money as they can anyway they can, and never ask 'is this good for people'"

Hey moron, ever heard of "supply and demand"? If there's a demand for something good the people want, guess what? Capitalism develops something good for the people.

  • lol Coward hypocrits. They were just putting up with him, it's not that they have any understanding of what he says what so ever, or even respect his views! What a stupid bunch!

  • this is what pisses me off, people use the rights capitalism gives you to talk shit about it, what sense does that make?

  • @kar98k1000 Capitalism does not grant rights. That is the sole domain of the US constitution.

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank yeah, a constitution wrote in a capitalist country, capitalism protects the constitution protects our right, so if you think of it, it does

  • @kar98k1000 No. If anything, you have it exactly backwards. The U.S. Constitution provides for and secures a capitalist economy, but the nearly unchecked capitalism as we have seen over the previous decade following the elimination of many very important regulations (some dating back to post 1930's depression) over our economic system came very close to destroying our country, its people, and inevitably the constitution. We're not even completely out of the woods on that just yet.

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank

It's disingenuous to call the recent financial debacle "unchecked capitalism". It was unchecked something, but it's hard to see why it would be called "capitalism." Capitalism itself is inimical to buying what you can't afford, borrowing what you can't pay back, and taking money you haven't earned.

That there can be abuses within a capitalist market is not the same as saying capitalism was to blame. That's like blaming segregation on democracy.

  • @MissingChurchill Only under a capitalist economic system can people buy what they can't otherwise afford -- it's called credit -- borrowing money. It's a core principal of capitalism itself. However, it was the elimination of many safegards against having people borrow an amount of money they could never pay back that led to abuses such as the housing bubble & near meltdown of the economy. So there is nothing inimical about it -- without regulations, capitalism is destructive.

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank

I fully agree that "lending money that can't be paid back" is abuse. But that's not "capitalism."

You and I are against the same practices. But by semantic transference, you're trying to use your opposition to an "abuse" as an argument against "capitalism." Which as I said, is like arguing against "democracy" by pointing to segregation (i.e. an abuse that happened within a democratic system).

Every economic system is destructive without regulation.

  • @MissingChurchill YouTube seems to have removed your initial comment without a trace it ever existed (WTF!?), so I can't reference your original argument.

Anyway, your analogy doesn't exactly follow because segregation is found to exist under any political system, and is therefore not systematic of democracy. Credit default can only exist under capitalism. (cont.)

  • (2) That capitalism can lead to such a tragically unequal distribution of wealth as we have today (1 of every 4 children now live in poverty in the US), and that as it becomes less regulated (ie, "in check") has shown it can (will?) lead to total economic collapse, provides the basis upon which criticism of much of the economic system itself is justified IMO. That we are still a significant mix of capitalism + socialism is a very good thing indeed (especially to the 99%).

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank

I agree about the mix of capitalism and socialism. However, I lean toward freer markets as they produce the most wealth for everyone. The "gap" between the rich and the poor is not itself tragic. The actual state of the poor is what's relevant. What constitutes "hard times" in the US would be a paradise for poor the world over. That's b/c capitalism has generated so much wealth as a whole. (I'm not saying our poor don't need our generosity.)

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank

(cont'd) It can even be argued that the housing crisis was the result of an un-capitalistic system. Sub-prime mortgages were being pushed by people who weren't going to be held responsible for horrible business practices. Everyone was backed up by someone else who was ultimately backed up (as we saw) by the government. In good capitalism, producers are efficiently held responsible for such irresponsibility (i.e. bye bye business).

  • @MissingChurchill I couldn't disagree more with just about every one of your opinions, and some of them I view as quite sad for the future of our country and its people because they have unfortunately been very successfully cultivated over the years by Fox news and the rest of our rightwing fascist talking heads. As I find typical from individuals from the [wealthy or brainwashed] right, your stated beliefs are self-contradictory. (cont.)

  • (2) You believe always freer and freer markets will magically solve everything for everybody, but refuse to recognize such things as the fact that the housing mortgage bomb, the credit default swaps, and the creation of many other screwball financial products that all may yet bring down much of the global economy to its knees were the direct result of freer markets following the elimination of many banking/financial regulations by congress... (cont.)

  • (3) that were in place for many decades (lessons once learned by those of the great depression) and protected us from this new capitalism on steroids gone amok. Finally, NO! The 25% of American kids who go to bed hungry every night along with the rest of our poor do not live as in a paradise! You are simply absurd, and simple.

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank

Yes, that's exactly what I said...freer and freer markets solve everything and hungry kids live in paradise.

I too can argue ad hominem and knock down strawmen with exclamation marks. However, that doesn't make for very fruitful conversation now does it...at least not conversation in which I'm interested.

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank whgat my point is a constitution like the United States is not and will not ever be found in a state the practices communism, socialism, or anything other than capitalism

  • @kar98k1000 I don't know what you mean by "like" the US constitution, inasmuch as is applicable to capitalism. Very few nations don't have a constitution. The most unique aspect of ours is its "Wall of Separation" between religion & government -- the first of its kind in the world. But to be sure, the US practices socialism in many ways. There are NO purely capitalist countries!

    "We Are All Socialists"

    /watch?v=oRKPGQ2jUog

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank thank Theodore Roosevelt for that, it once was. can you find a constitution in any other nation quite like ours???

  • @kar98k1000 Like people, no 2 nations' constitutions are alike. Again, you must identify which aspect(s) of ours you want compared to others. Our constitution is actually quite lacking in some respects, and is no longer the preferred model for other countries when constructing a constitution. Germany's "Basic Law" now holds that honor, and is seen as the model which best fits into the modern world. Also, be aware there are other countries that grant more freedoms/rights than we have.

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank just put it this way, can you insult the government in a communist state with out being convicted or shot?? can you find any part of the united states constitution in any communist state??? if answered no to any of these questions was my point

  • @kar98k1000 Yes (perhaps not all) and yes.

Don't be so blind to how corporations & politicians of our government are today working together behind the scenes along with police departments to silence, arrest, attack (as with physical force & pepper spray) and deny citizen protestors of the OWS movement. So before you pound your chest & declare us the greatest/freest nation of all, open your eyes to the various denials of constitutional rights/speech now taking place within the US.

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank ok if we are not the greatest/freest nation, then who is???? answer that one for me

  • @kar98k1000 That should not be the point. Rather, and much more importantly, you should already be at a point where you could acknowledge our many very serious problems in the US and asking questions on how we might correct them -- all while putting your dogma aside.

  • @kar98k1000 Maybe Sweeden, the Netherlands, Denmark hasnt been doing so bad either. Switzerland has actually been doing great for decades now. Regardless of what is going on up in the North, in South Korea (Asia) people have freedom the americans can only dream of. In fact other than having to deal with the Debtocracy we have inherited from your country people all over the world have freedom you yourself can only dream of! See there is a world beyond the US American!

  • 1:10 - "This movie is about the legalization of greed."

So we should make "greed" illegal? We should make a subjective personal disposition illegal? What have you got in mind?

2:26 - "We are in the 21st century. We have got to be smart enough to develop our own economic order, and that's what we're lacking right now."

So you have no idea. You're promoting some ethereal 'something' that no one's figured out yet...and that makes 'greed' illegal.

    5:46 - "I [only] have a HS education."

    Clearly.

  • 6:20 Smell the Spite

  • Michael Moore just dropped a few notches in my book...

  • @faithisfiction way because he doesn't have a problem with christianity

  • @faithisfiction Hes a 1%er who makes money using capitalism then goes around talking about how evil the 1% are and how unfair capitalism is.

How do you respect him at all?

  • Why do American's always have to bring politics into religion and Have religious politics?

  • you know this is old when you see DOW stocks are up

  • Everyone is motivated by self interests. The only reason you assist someone is because you enjoy the feeling of helping others. There just needs to be a way to force corporations to assist people because it will be more profitable in the end.

  • @itsquazart right on! many people who think that they are helping becuase its right are often doing it because they feel good after the act, which in terms is a egotistical act! good one though bro!

  • Thing is...when companies are moral, it's usually a complete accident. Because being moral sometimes, but not usually, coincides with profit. Sometimes it is profitable to help others...most times it is not.

  • So how many millions have this twit earned from capitalism

  • @JDPKRevolution - You seem to think that the only way people ever made money in the history of civilized society is through capitalism. There have been a plethora of other economic (and governmental) ideologies that have made people wealthy. You seem to act like in a society that focuses on Keynesian economics people won't get rich. They will, they just won't be screwing over the rest of us in the process.

  • @Bamont Keynesian economics.... your being sarcastic ofcourse

  • @JDPKRevolution How am I being sarcastic? Haha. There are plenty of rich people in countries that utilize socialist principles mixed with Keynesian economics. Now, they don't have a plethora of multi-billionaires, but they also don't have a dwindling middle-class, mounting debt, and jobs being shipped overseas. Money and resources aren't infinite. The more one person has, by nature of economics, means that the less another person does. That concept seems to elude a lot of people.

  • @Bamont didnt read the comment you were responding too, but that was extremely well said.

  • Michael Moore is extremely careful to redefine the word capitalism to mean whatever he needs it to mean.

  • Am i the one who heard " its about the legalization of weed" ?

  • i love who the women have no say in this convo good they kno there place there lucky enough to be out the kitchen

  • If there was a foreclosure every 7 and a half seconds, we'd all be out on the streets by now.

  • @kennykiller29 more than 600 thousand ppl r in the streets

  • @makaveli201071 Out of close to a billion, not to sound fucked up, but thats not that big of a percentage.

  • I think Moore is absolutly right. The systems of the past are exactly that. There has to be a way to come up with a new system that takes what we have learned in the last few centuries to better the quality of life for all classes of people. The biggest issue is convincing the public that they don't need to have a 60 inch LED TV and a brand new $60,000 truck. Live within your means people!!

  • Look... Just because religion comes in the form of a cult doesn't mean atheism does. Atheists don't got to meetings, atheists don't have a community, atheists don't have a church or a place to practice faith. Atheism is founded on common sense and the knowledge of hos the world and the universe works.

  • Atheists arent a group and never can be, because a true atheist thinks him/herself

  • Why do religious people think that atheism is an organization like the Christian chruch. We don't have meetings every sunday where we sing songs and pray to evolution, mmk.

  • I like how the guy in the red tie claims that France and Sweden are solialist countries. Ha ha. I think you can have capitalism but still have government intervention to ensure that the greedy don't run amok. Countries like Holland, Sweden, Australia, Norway have a very good balance of Capitalism with a little bit of Socialism. The living standards of these countries are a hell of lot better than that of the US and they were'nt effected by the GFC like the US and UK were

  • @rewberg also don't forget Canada, we have socialized healthcare and other governement programs, and yet our country is doing better than USA. Some US citizens are still scared of the word "socialism" like if it was still soviet russia's times.

  • @bengacris Yes of course. Canada is a great example of this. It's a shame that many American's still consider Solialism a 'dirty' word. Although I think the people of America are starting to realise that we need aspects of both Capitalism and Socialism.

  • @rewberg americans love socialism, they just don't realise that they use it ...

  • @hellhoyking Very true

  • The church of Bill Maher? Moore is a self-righteous hypocritical prick.

  • @supowit sounds like religion in general

  • hey USA are you by any chance broke

  • lol...Americans...

Referring to Sweden as a socialist state?? WTF.?

Where did they get that from?

Ignorant, arrogant and stupid as always

I wonder why the US is broke...

  • @VandalayProductions The US is broke because American morons put the biggest moron in the Whitehouse.

  • he rocks

  • Moore is a slob.

  • @jehugodsman the hardest working slob ive seen

  • Hmm seems he isnt against the war that obama promotes over in the middle east or at least i havnt seen him speak out against it.why is that ? seems like 911 was a big show but what is happeneing now isnt a big deal .

  • IRONIC THAT FAT BASTARD MICHAEL MOORE PUTS DOWN AMERICA BUT NEVER TURNS DOWN MONEY FROM A BIG CORPORATION NEWS SHOW..

HE SAYS HE IS FOR THE LITTLE GUY..DOES HE LOOK LIKE HE EVER WENT HUNGRY? I HAVE AND I KNOW NO MATTER WHAT ARE PROBLEMS ARE IN THE USA WE ARE STILL BETTER THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.. IF YOU DON"T THINK SO..THEN TRY LIVING IN A SOCIALIST OR COMMUNIST COUNTRY AND TRY FREE SPEECH OR MAKING MONEY

  • @loxleymendoza He doesn't "put down america"...He informs the people about serious problems that they hadn't previously known about...Do you think that he gets paid to be on a news show? What a dummy you are...As far as a socialist country vs. America goes...Try going to Norway or Denmark and seeing the quality of life there...They get evrything and live wonderful lives...Free Medical, Free dental, 1 year paid maternity leave and many other things that we don't have.

  • @loxleymendoza you are blind

stop falling for stupid propaganda and think and look for once in your life

i find it sad that poeple in my nation the USA still believe that communist is a horrible thing

it's actually been proven that their poeple tend to be happyer then an average american

i'm not pro communist but i do think we need to invent a new system that combines the best from both COMMUNIST AND DEMOCRACY fused together

  • "we are taking it from a 16th century economic ideology and debating it with a 19th century economic theory."

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. That would have been like the 16th century church saying "HA! Believing the earth is round, how ridiculous. Its obviously flat. You are comparing a 2nd century (bc) idea with a 4th century idea.

Age doesnt have anything to do with the validity of an idea.

  • @boonw I think what he meant by that was that Marx´s idea was supposed to be applied the his own time. Of course, the circumstances surrounding the revolution are a bit too planned out, and could not for see mass consumption like we have today. That´s what he meant.

  • Socialism ? HAHUAHUAHUAHUAHUA

  • Comment removed

  • @StigJensen123 we have over 300 million people socialism wouldn't work here, and those people choose not to go to shelters or refuse to go

  • @StigJensen123 Well most of our country is not capitalist war-mongering arrogant bastards. If you have paid any attention to world news thousands upon thousands have gone to the streets in protest maybe we don't have the facts and maybe France and Sweden do have a medicine problem but do you know what don't scape goat on this or my country asshole fix your own problems as we are. The United States is going to be fine maybe you should look internally instead of cast stones you shouldn't.

  • Comment removed

  • @StigJensen123 hey man, not all of us are evil fucking capitalist war-mongering arrogant bastards. We just happen to be represented by them. :P

  • Comment removed

  • Michael Moore is exactly right, free-enterprise can not be "free" from regulation! We have a faulty system that works "ok", but it can be fine tuned and be excellent, for everyone! My analogy is the "automobile!" Would you choose a 1962 Dodge or, a 2011 Honda? The Honda, of course! Because since 1962, engineers have improved cars incredibly! We can re-engineer the free-enterprise system to perform better, like the Honda! Ok,, 1962 Dodge, or, 2011 Honda, which is it going to be? Lets re-engineer!

  • of doing good things for others because wealth has not been created because there is no reason, no initiative that drives people to take entrepreneurial risk.

  • He also seems to think that there is an ultimate importance to the reasoning behind doing good things for people in unfortunate situations. "This company helped out a lot of people, a lot of good came from this but who cares, they did it for a profit." My response to that is, thats capitalism at work at, that IS the invisible hand. Would you rather have a system that works, where people are doing good for the "wrong reasons" or would you have a system that doesn't work, where no one is capable

  • Furthermore, just because this theory is from the 1700's, that doesn't mean its outdated and irrelevant. The age of an idea says nothing about its correctness. Michael Moore seems to think were capable of creating a better ideology in the 21st century, the challenge of that is greater then what comes across though. The challenge of a non-free market system being this: We have to find a way to make people take entrepreneurial risk without any hope of wealth, good luck with that.

  • Michael Moore is an idiot. Adam Smiths invisible hand theory accounts for those on the poor end for things. The theory states that if people are motivated to create wealth for themselves, everyone will be benefited. Wealth is created in capitalism, it almost seems as if Michael Moore believes this wealth would exist without the initiative and that those on wall street have just found a way to get a bigger piece of the pie. Human beings need initiative to work, wealth is a great initiative.

  • Capitalism FTW

  • Moore is a big DICK. Take off your cap you fucking retard. Get some manners. And stop calling atheims "Bill Mahers religion". It's not a religion. I contains NO doctrines, and claims NOTHING but doubt. Wich I hope everyone know is not concistent with "claim". Thomas Paine and the founding fathers would, in respect of the revolution, call him a traitor for inclining that religion should have ANY part or say in ANY politics.

  • well i guess mr.moore forsaw the occupy wall street movements.

  • @ewener1000 He had the right idea.

  • this journalists are just serving their owners

  • U.S.Congressman,abolitionist,"Father of the 14th Amendment" John Bingham, confirms understanding & construction Framers used re birthright & jurisdiction

"I find no fault with the introductory clause which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that EVERY HUMAN BEING BORN within the jurisdiction of the United States OF PARENTS NOT OWING ALLEGIANCE TO ANY FOREIGN SOVEREIGNTY IS,in the language of your Constitution itself,A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN"

  • @kingdomofloss1 to clarify: I am not american :D and I think we are debating the same point here. I think americans are ridiculous to be so panicked about the danger of "socialism" to me it is a joke, having lived my life in Finland, a country were you are free to do what you want to with your life, your effort means more than your starting point or family etc. And you really have to make an effort to be really "poor" not to mention homeless. And we are a market economy, not a communist state

  • @Cahone exactly. I'll tell you the difference between Market Economy and Capitalist state.

In market economy, there is a freedom of trade but in capitalism along with the freedom of trade the corporations have a say in the economic policy of the government. In finland large earners pay much more taxes than in the US. So, the idea is that there should be cut throat competition while selling insurance, food computers etc, but these corporations cannot have a say in the policy making.

  • @Cahone but this is not the case in the US. Warren Buffet says he pays lesser tax than his secretary. Thats disturbing, isn't it?

btw, glad you are from finland. Its a country I definitely want to live in once in my lifetime. Love the music there.

  • @kingdomofloss1 Yes, we agree 100% I also hope you get to fulfill your ambition to live here, and I hope the finnish attitudes to foreighners do not continue to grow more negative as they have recently :( sadly the right wing biggots have gained foothold in all of northern countries, lets hope this is just a temporary fear reaction to the uncertain times we live in currently. I for one welcome you here :)

  • @kingdomofloss1 Dude, socialist democratic does not mean SOCIALISM :D it means that the aims of the party are a truly DEMOCRATIC and equal delivery of fundamental social services and basicly evening out income gap by taxing more or less progressively. In the nordic countries a free trade and market economy is thriving alongside taking care of the basic needs of citizens by the government. The three best working democratic systems in THE WORLD, are Norway, Sweden and Finland. A known fact.

  • @Cahone I m not talking abt text book socialism. Thats farce and impossible to be implemented in a human society unless you curb all the human rights. I am saying elimination of consumerism and appeasement of markets is causing America to fall. Think abt it, you have a million dollars that doesn't belong to you. Do you lose anything playing a 80000:1 bet with it. NO!! Why? because if you lose you shell out nothing. If you win boom, you are a billionaire.

  • @Cahone But the agencies which invest in you and the agencies which invest in them and the people, like the common men who lie on the bottom of the pyramid dont know their pennies will be used for a 80000:1 bet. They lose out, the lower you are on the pyramid, the more loss you face (in percentage). And you cant question the losses since the T&C apply on everything you invest. Think about how nationalized schemes or government schemes can help get rid of this loss.

  • @Cahone @Cahone So in India we have both, the government agencies for investment and private sectors which play more or less like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs etc... Thus, the optimal economy is being achieved.

  • DID THAT IDIOT JUST SAY... SOCIALIST COUNTRY LIKE SWEDEN? :D IS HE A COMPLETE IDIOT! :D oh my god.... there are no better examples of functioning democratic capitalist countries than the nordic countries. Taking care of your people is not socialist. Its common sense.

  • @Cahone "taking care of your people" CLASSIC Are you for real?

The only persons responsible or obliged to "take care of [their]people" are--those--called....ready for this? drum-roll please,.....PARENTS

Anyone else called upon to play such a role does so(or should, according the the natural law)answers the call because it is the sound, just&right thing to do NOT because someone(read:the state's authority/member of the elite corp) is holding a gun to their head as a form of coercion

  • Hey "Fatso" I'm askin' ---"is this good for the people...is this good for the country?"

That the improper, UNCONSTITUTIONAL ascencion of B.O. Jr to the country's Highest Office sets a precedent for all tourists in, visitors to the U.S. --to have,"legally", installed their off spring as Commander-in-Chief of OUR once sovereign Nation's Army

  • @kiiifute1 Dude, those "tourists" are called.. slaves =_=

  • @Cahone EXACTLY,& THAT is why The USURPER & all those who support & prop him,& his ilk, up-see themselves as the "masters"-abducting children from their fathers(ie those who are, simply, visitors to this Land like Barack Obama Sr)& declaring those kids 'natural born' This rule of territoriality belongs to barbaric regimes In permitting the state to rule arbitrarily over the will of the parents; 1 concedes their status as that of servitude. 1is no longer a sovereign citizen but merely, a subject

  • Barack Obama II IS A USURPER
