@NostalgicSince2005 Yeah, but at least 6 has a proper ending. This one, just ends out of nowhere, and was just boring to watch. At least six was so bad, you can sort of enjoy it.
2)Goes away from the dream concept very early in the series and turns into a movie about possession this should have been called Possession On Elm Street
3)Confusing
4)Coach Schneider's ass
5)Doesn't follow the rest of the series this is certainly the Halloween 3 of Nightmare On Elm Street franchise.
The ending was the part that finally made me snap. I mean, theirs a bloody massacre ten minutes earlier at the pool party, and all thye friend can say is "Great party!" wow.
Good god this movie was terrible. Jesse was just annoying and not likeable in the slightest. The gay references pretty much were what this movie should've been called "NOES 2: Freddy has a case of sexual issues..." I really hate this movie.
The director and writer decided for the sequel of Elm Street to throw all concept of logic out the window, make the main male character a wuss beyond belief, strew across a chain reaction of references to heat/fire, homosexuality, and fear (though I dont see the fear aspect).
Speaking as a diehard horror fan, I have to say this film truly sickens me to a point where I want to vomit.
Well, the first movie is my favourite horror movie and favourite in the series, just look at my retrospective on the this franchise.
They tried so hard to deviate from the original that they thre everything off the cliff and made a crappy movie that wasn't even entertaining, let alone scary!
The fear may have been Jesses father beat him up for being a piece of shit movie.
I am not a big horror fan, but I have to agree this is a terrible movie. Plus freddy is an easy character to be scared of.
The exploding bird scene was fucking ri-goddamn-diculous. "I know, he used a goddamn cherry bomb". What the fuck was up with that comment from the father?
This whole movie was ridiculous and just really, really bad. The exploding bird and the fact that the father as soon as the murders stop, stops complaining about his son is just one of the reasons I think this is the worst movie in the series.
*puts head down* I own the film on DVD. But I have heard that the original cut is much better, but Dimension will never release that version(just like with Crow 2 and Halloween 6)
Lol, makes him his bitch, I like that. I do agree the ending was crap, but the worse Freddy film..... I don't know, Freddy's Dead to me has that dishonor. At least this keeps the darkness of the first film, the continuity is a bit annoying, since it doesn't really keep the rules the first film established.

5 reasons why this movie was not great:
1)Jesse Walsh
2)Goes away from the dream concept very early in the series and turns into a movie about possession this should have been called Possession On Elm Street
3)Confusing
4)Coach Schneider's ass
5)Doesn't follow the rest of the series this is certainly the Halloween 3 of Nightmare On Elm Street franchise.

lol 4 alone would be why this movie would suck, but I was nodding along to everything on your list there.

Why the film is bad (I feel that I should note this out):
-Animal spontaneous combustion
-Constant gay references throughout, especially in one particular death scene
-SEE SAW SCHOOL BUS OVER HELL!
-Pool party o' death
-Jesse Walsh...one of the few epitomations of epic failure

Exactly...
Funny thing to note, the actor who played Jesse is actually gay.

reallly? I didn't know that.
Why do i get the feeling this whole movie was an insider joke that wasn't funny.

Here's my theory

Clu Gulager(Jesse's father)can be seen in Return of the Living Dead and Kim Myers(Lisa)can be seen in Hellraiser 4: Bloodline

But how many people have sat through the entire Hellraiser part 4?

They can say the original film is better, and not release it.
It's like the kid at school who claims to have the greatest thing ever but isn't allowed to show anyone.
Also I have an awesome phone that lets me talk to people in space, but I can't show it as I'm not supposed to have it.

Well Freddy's dead at least had some interesting deaths.
Their was no continuity in this thing.
Everything I said was true, and their is so much more like the gay overtones that you mentioned in your review.
I'm going to go watch part 3 now and hopefully have nicer things to say.
Also, it's going to be a few days till I get to Freddy's dead, but is it other worldly fish that give him his power?
Cause I swear if I remembered that right...
