  • I think 21st century breakdown is a great album. American idiot and dookie are better though

  • Im sorry but green day should have taken coldplays place, i dont giva fuck how many rewards coldplay got, Green got more lol, Dookie, american idiot, i mean, common. coldplay? reallly?

  • @GLASSB182 and every other album green day ever made

  • Best album ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • *refrase* "Now the legendary rock album is here, Green Day- Dookie!"

  • @GLASSB182 and american idiot

  • lOL Nice

  • coldplay is legendary... viva la vida is their best album... coldplay's viva la vida is fucking legendary!!! and coldplay just gives rock a whole new turn!

  • Where the fuck is Dookie???? isn't that the 193 greatest album of all time and its not legendary?? the fuck...

  • they forgot back in black and master of puppets

  • Viva la Vida=not a legendary album. 21st Century Breakdown=not a legendary album. American Idiot and Dookie are though.

  • @TheRockNation100 I totally agree with you

  • "Stand the fuck up! This isn't a fucking coldplay show!"

Viva la Vida is NOT Rock n Roll. I don't care if a billion people have said this already.

    IT ISN'T.

  • all of idiots who claims that viva la vida is not legendery never listen hole album and never see the information that viva la vida ist best sold album ever in last 50 years

  • @SuperKarlo97 BULLSHIT!!!! where did you hear that!!!? viva la vida is nowhere near the top!

it's sold 9 million as far as i know, and there's dozens of better selling albums like AC/DC's Back in Black at 49 million. even green day beat coldplay with Dookie and American Idiot!

and anyway: how can anything be the best thing EVER in 50 YEARS??? it's completely contradicting!

  • Coldplays good and all

i listen to them there on my ipod

    but

it doesn't belong the rightful name as Legendary Rock Album

  • Viva la vida is legendary! Go ahead and kill me for saying this, but Coldplay is just as good as the beatles!

  • Legenday in Sales Speaking, you fools...

  • green day is like the only band nowadays that doesn't use synthesizers and fake auto tune stuff. PS Coldplay? Legendary? Wtf?

  • green day best albums were only three by fact. it was

:Dookie, hightlight song was basket case.

:American Idiot, highlight songs were American Idiot and Boulevard of Broken Dreams,

:21st Century Breakdown, highlight songs were Know Your Enemy and 21st Century Breakdown.

which are indeed classic albums by Green Day. But the best songs i heard from Green Day are Brain Stew and Viva La Gloria little girl. totally straight killa songs and of course more.

  • 21st century breakdown is a good album. it makes me think

  • Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction should be at the VERY top of that list.

  • You can't choose 9 albums at random and make them the exhaustive list of legendary albums.

21st century breakdown sounds nice, but i doubt that it will have the posterity of Nirvana's nevermind, or even of dookie or american idiot.

Legendary implies some time. Viva la vida is like 2 years old and they call it legendary... hmmm ok shut up you soulless advertisers, everybody knows you never mean what you say, you just say it cause you think it will sell...

  • coldplay is gay

  • @jdark15 are you retard or ?

  • SUCA

  • They forgot 2 legendary albums......

IT IS CALLED: DOOKIE AND AMERICAN IDIOT!!!!!!!!

  • @Wimbo1993 And Kerplunk, Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, Insomniac, Nimrod, Shenanigans, Warning, and... Do I forget something?

And the albums that they show in the spot; not even a halve is legendary.

  • @Wimbo1993 yes but they couldn't put 3 Green Day albums in the same advertisement!! XD

  • viva la vida is not yet a legendary album, but it should be, cuz it's pretty fuckin insane!!!

  • American idiot has sold over 10,000,000 albums world wide and brought green day back into the scene... it way more lengendary than 21st century breakdown

  • I love Green Day, they're my favorite band, but i really think that American Idiot has been WAY more of a success than 21st Century Breakdown, but to compare it to Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt. Pepper's, or Led Zep IV i must say is kindda retarded,

don't get me wrong, 21st is still an excellent album, as so is Viva la Vida, but i don't think it gets to the level of LEGENDARY...

  • legendary albums? then where is Back In Black, Hysteria, The Black Album and A Night at the Opera?

  • @greenadrenaline6405 Yeah, Back in Black is more legendary than any of those their.

  • Yay our beloved's 21stCB is REALLY the rock album of the year! :D

btwi havent seen this before, it's quite eye-catchy!

    NICE PROMO! :D

  • @Junkpunker21

    Overexposed and overestimated, both

  • Why would they make a promo like this? Man.. This is too much for a once simple band. If they continue doing things like this (making huge budgeted videos, promos).. there's no turning back.

    Anyways, Green Day rocks!

  • Hell Yeah!

  • woo! they included OK Computer in that list!

  • id say dookie was better.

  • whats that guys accet

  • I wouldn't put it up there with Led Zeppelin or the Beatles, but this is my favorite Green Day album

  • this album is excellent, but to live up to sgt.peppers, nevermind, the dark side of the moon or ok computer is remote ... in punk, if it could be a record but still legendary breakdown 21st century will be a reference to future , at least I hope ...

  • este disco si me perece legendario, es un discazo! viva 21stcb =)

  • nice album but not legendary... i prefer american idiot at all

  • You suck!

  • @ortrand

    20 years.

They're not overrated. They're just over-exposed now but not overrated.

  • Out of all the albums they listed in this video as legandary the first 3 are the best.

  • love the new cd!

keep listenin to it over and over again!

  • I think it's legendary...

American Idiot was too much mainstream

And 21CBD is not for the big mass of people!

It's more Rock n Roll HELL YEAH!

  • Oh they did not just include Coldplay in that list. Who the hell are they fucking kidding?

  • mate, coldplay are an awesome band, can you name anyone who can sing like chris martin? No. Coldplay changed how music is today, so until you learn some true facts about music, do us all a favour and shut up!

  • In that same genre? - Thom Yorke

If you like listening to Coldplay, that's fine, but to compare Viva la Vida to Nevermind, Sgt. Pepper, Dark Side of the Moon, and other LEGENDARY albums is just not fair to those truly legendary bands; furthermore, to say that Coldplay changed how music is today may be a bit of an exaggeration.

  • @xXxXxbw18xXxXx Yeah, I was truly surprised to see Coldplay on their, and even more surprised Not to see AC/DC. I think that maybe Radiohead shouldn't be on their, too. And where is Queen?

  • @xXxXxbw18xXxXx you just dont know what music is , and that is sad

  • Have you heard of a man named Bono? No? Didn't think so.

  • haha codplay sux munky nuts i dont think i know ne one who atcualy likes them lol

  • theres also difference between good and legendary,

most "legendary" albums usually end up having 4 or 5 huge hits, making mtv notice them, making people watching mtv notice them, making the radio play them, and thus, leading to major major advertising and awards.

but it all depends what generation is listening to the music that matters,

in 2001-2004 everyone loved pop punk and emoish stuff,

you know blink-182, green day, sum 41..

now people love rap, pop and techno.

so no 21cb wont be legendary

  • where have you been the past 10 years. MTV stopped playing music a long time ago, and Green Day was everywhere when this album came out

  • and they still are. Green Day Rock Band?! Holy shit am I happy.

  • not only rock, they are legendary rock

  • Comment removed

  • Viva La Vida? A legendary album? MY ASS!!!! Great album by the boys, it would be a real disapointment if it doesn't go platinum. Then again I guess we can thank assholes like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, The Jonas Homo's, Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson for dumbing down and rotting the brains of music listeners everywhere. No one seems to appreciate thought out, complex dare I say good music anymore. Hope rock and roll never completely dies out, that would really blow. Death to pop and rap.

  • thank you! viva la vida only had like 1 or 2 good songs, green day shouldnt degrade themselves saying they've joined coldplay. now dont get me wrong i dont dislike coldplay but chris martin even said that viva la vida only had the success that it did because U2 and Green Day were on quote "holiday"

  • @iBlah6666

I totally agree. Nothing beats good old Rock.

  • @iBlah6666

oh hell yea! :D u r totally and completly right.

Green Day is REAL music. not tht shit most people listen to.

  • @iBlah6666 yea i dont understand y there r sooooooo many ppl addicted to lady gaga. shes just a dwarf that wants to do anything she can to catch attention.

  • @iBlah6666 oh shutup. Viva is fucking awesome.

  • @VivaLaHannah14 I wasn't bashing it, it just pails in comparison to anything else on that list.

  • @iBlah6666 Rock 'n' roll can't die, man. It's just not possible!

  • @iBlah6666 yeah its like lady gaga and tyo cruz or wat ever the fuk his name is is ruining music they dnt evn sing any mre wat they call singin is acutally talkin out the lyrics to make it sound like they are singin and they are rottin out the brains of ppl incourgin them to go out and sing exactly the same like they are....real music isnt out there any mre well it is but not as much if we had mre bands like GREEN DAY and LED ZEPLIN we wud be able to run lady gaga and them out of music!!!!!

  • i think its a bit to early to decide if this album is legendary or not. dookie and american idiot will always be known as the their legendary albums, although i think 21st century breakdown rapes american idiot.

  • hmmm this is a really good album, however i don't know it just seems different. like comparing it to american idiot, it seems the singles from A..I have done a lot better i.e. american idiot to know your enemy, holiday to 21 guns. but there are some really good songs on 21st cb. really hard to choose haha

  • i love this album maybe in their top 3 right behind dookie and warning and MAYBE beating out kerplunk but what i dont like about this commercial is that it makes breakdown seem like their first legendary album, umm do people remember AI and dookie? i dont know oh and no u cant say coldplay's legendary album came before green day i wont accept that, and i agree with u guys that its a shame that this album didnt get more success, people are really missing out

  • I love Green Day but honestly, it was not a massive hit and not a legendary album, I think it's wonderful Green Day has always been my favorite band, know the words to all their songs. But it really sucks that this album never took off. It topped the itunes charts for 1 day.

  • what r u talking about?, it sold more than american idiot on release date, it was just not as mtv pop as american idiot which is a good thing, reminds me of there old stuff

  • yes i know it topped it on release date because people loved american idiot and wanted more, thats why so many people got it on the first day, but im not sure why it didnt get as much publicity as american idiot, i think it should've,

it rly pisses me off when people say that american idiot was pop, they changed their sound because shenanigans sold 3 copies, so they changed their sound and became the biggest band in the world, their songs also had a lot more meaning in american idiot

  • it didnt get as much publicity as amercan idiot because green day didnt want it to get publicity like american idiot, they said they wanted to go back more to their roots, they didnt like the whole mtv pop thing that american idiot was

  • from bullet in a bible "we knew we had accomplished that was above and beyond expectations"-when they finished american idiot, and 21st century breakdown isnt at all like they're roots

  • its not like there ganna right the same kind of music forever. being a punk band is still ground zero for them, they atre a punk band and 21st century breakdown was all in all a great cd, but my personal favorite is american idiot.

  • ok they werent expecting shenanigans to sell at all.

it was a compilation of B SIDES!

it means all of the songs that are in shenanigans didnt get to go on the albums previously released meaning there not supposed to be good songs especially if they didnt get put on the album!

shenanigans was for die hard fans that wanted to see other songs green day recorded.

  • yes i heard about a week ago that it was made up of extra songs u get when you buy a single, but since the songs were already recorded, they prolly just sold it to close the gap between warning and american idiot, so that they could work on it more

  • or on cigarrettes and valentines

  • yeah and its a great cd

  • I think were on the same page here, I love Green Day a lot, and punk is ground zero and they're next album will sound like nimrod, but if i had to sit down and choose an album to listen to it would be american idiot, and when u said"nah its legendary" i hope you arent reffering to 21stcb, which sold not even a million copies by one of the biggest bands in the world

  • Okay, 21CB has sold over a million copies in some countries, and the only reason it hasn't in some because it recently came out a few months ago...

  • but honestly i know that you know that 21cb isn't dookie or american idiot material, and its not "the next legendary rock album" but i love it still and the new vid for the song 21cb is leefy
