My last Linux machine was a 400MHz ARM with 64MB of RAM. My current one is a dual Xeon with 4GB of RAM. Both run exactly the same operating system; because, unlike Windows, it's entirely up to you how much 'gratuitous' stuff you load it up with.

Oh, and the entire world would be in big trouble if Linux disappeared tomorrow; there are hundreds of millions of embedded Linux systems and Linux servers.

When i press Enable desktop effects the screen turns white en then goes back to the screen with enable desktop effects but nothing changed..

Your drivers is not enabled, check administration and then Restricted drivers management.
