@celena332 ..King Yelowman is awesome ..and one of the great Reggae artist ever, he had a hard time in the early years and childhood for being an albino...hes a true inspiration for ppl ..hes truely in top 5 list of Reggae artists!
@agfagaevart haha thats some funny stuff, another song with lines i woner about is lost mi love upon the queens highway me and my friends always wondered if he lost his sack of weed? lol :)
Not agreed, back in those days the term dancehall wasn't referring to a style of reggae.A dancehall was a place where music was played. Yellowman style back then, was reggae in little advanced pace, called rub a dub. I say he was more popular for a small period of time in Jamaica, didn't say he was the king.
Most definately, I would not say now with all the teens buying Marley shirts from Spencers without having listened to his music a whole lot. All in all a good thing though, but an Albino that was popular than marley for a while, yes this is true.
me draw down me pants go down to me knee she look under me and say god allmighty yellow you nah gonna use that thing pon me i say shut yah mouth its only ten feet

That line has always made me laugh, since I heard the track around 1984. Mandeville is a quiet place, that you wouldn't want to spend to long in.

"What's is yer number?"
"I don't answer"
"I said what's your number boy?!"
"I still don't answer."
"Him take out him chopper, mi mooma!! Then me started to answer." LOL!
Another classic one:
"The yout' dem a dress-up inna white colour shirt. An' some a dem wear it 'til it resemble dirt."
Hilarious.

Yellowman is the only reggae artist that can say he was more popular than the great Bob Marley on the island , for a while that was.
From 81 to 84, no other DJ could touch him.
peterpiessens 2 years ago 7
yellowman is a dancehall artist and Bob Marley is a reggae artist. They are kings of their separate genres.
