It's more of a Hindu thing I think. The chanting is meant to bring about a higher state of conciousness apparently. That's why they chant it, because they want to spread higher conciousness to all. Not being a religious person, I say thanks but no thanks Krishnas.

It's a relegion. They give out free foor at glastonbury. I don't think it's a hindu or jewish thing, as hinted below, it's a totaly seperate relegion. I read one of their books once, it's kind of self-help, believe in yourself stuff. It's Hare Krishna by the way.
