I'm too old and too confident in my own abilities to even bother about it. I find it a bit sad though that there seem to be so much frustration in some people out there that they try to feel better by trying to step on other people. I don't think youtube has any minimum requirements about how good you need to be on your sport (or at making videos) to be allowed to post videos here. So until they change the rules I'll continue posting.
And, since you seem to be unable to just switch to something else if you don't like what you are watching I will help you by advicing you NOT to watch my other videos, because this one is my masterpiece (not A masterpiece).

@metameraangling i could tell u a few things pending on what your fishing for, for carp you can use corn, bread, gummy bears etc. use a small hook because they got small mouths, use a big rod pending on where you live, here in florida ive caught some 40 pounders. they are a fun easy fish to catch, if their is any other fish you would like to know about just massage me.

i'm not saying i would let it run like that, but actually on a few occasions i've had small carp like that take line from my baitrunner that was set for 20+ carp.
Maybe the video sucks, that's all down to persomal preferrings. But as all anglers know, sometimes the circumstances need you to add or remove shot from the line. In this case I had trouble with either linebites or fish not taking the bait properly, so I decided to remove a couple of shot. Now when the float goes under I know the fish has taken the bait properly.
I'm really interested in what way you would have done it? Maybe I can learn something from you, you seem to be a very skillful angler since you immideately knows how I can improve my fishing just by watching a video for a couple of minutes.
Now I'm heading over to watch your videos because they really must be something...I can barely wait...

What setup were you using. I use 8lb main line and 4lb hook length with 16 hook when I use a float. I use this setup for a good variety of fish from small roach to 12lb carp. Its a nice surprise when you get into a carp of this size with this setup. It takes me a lot longer then what it took you to land your fish. Some people ain't got a clue about fishing and about the sport of it. They are got all the gear, got no idea idiots. Broomsticks and washing line merchants thats what I call them haha.

I just say "Poor you, and all the others making comments about how long time it takes to land the fish!" Do you really believe everything you see on TV? I hope not, otherwise you will be fooled many times in your life. If you'd taken the time to read through the earlier comments (including my answers) you'd see that this is maybe 5 or 6 different fish. The film is then cut together in an editing program.
(I am just as happy spending a weekend bivvied up waiting for a screaming take from a big one as I am sitting for an afternoon pulling out 'pasties'.)

honestly when i am sat fishing i use all the baits i take maggot sweet corn bioleys pellets and worm and fishing changing baits and tatics i always catch alot more and bigger on worm its free from your back garden try it if you dont
they fatten the fish up too much... when you see a fish which is proper fat with a big hanging gut - thats because they have been feeding on boileys then there too easy to battle... a 10lb carp from a fishery which doesnt alow boileys is probably equivalent to a 20lb carp from a local park were theyve been munching the boileys....

Hey guys for the Carp on the Float i recommend a certain amount of baits, such as, Luncheon Meat, Macroni Cheese, Pellets, Bread and etc.. I often use Sweetcorn for Loosefeed. Oh yeh Try Catfood, Or if Floater Fishing, Dog Biscuits or the Pellets. (:

As I wrote before, I've brought home many many fish för my aquariums and garden ponds and they do NOT need anything to be well. My believe is that carp care kits are the tackledealers invention and does nothing but empty your wallet. Unhookingmats for BIG fish is something different, that is a piece of tackle I will bring next time I go fishing for big fish (even though I rarely catch any).

Dear me people, an unhooking mat is only necessary for large fish then can injure themselves with their own weight while flapping about on land... even then soft grass will suffice.
For fish this size one is not necessary, they won't be damaged unless you are stupid enough to drop it from height... in which case you shouldn't be handling fish.
Learning how to properly handle fish is better than any unhooking mat money can buy,.

A fish that can be held in a net or is not heavy enough to inflict damage on itself by struggling does not require an unhooking mat... that is not to say one wouldn't be a good idea... but getting on this guys case for not having one is a bit silly.

i will say this, where ever you fish these days the baylifs wont let you fish unless you have an unhooking mat. if you owned a lake im sure you wont like anglers dropping your fish onto the floor and injureing them.
Very very few waters in Sweden have any "pressure" on them and therefore the rules and the awareness of these kind of problems are way behind Great Britain.
Beside that, in my opinion (and I have brought home many many fish, carp too, for my aquariums and my garden pond) fish don't get hurt by spending a few minutes on land without a mat.
If you want people to do it "your way" you have to be friendly to them, otherwise they won't listen. That's the way people work. I hope you will do better in your next comment whether it's on my page ore someone elses.

boileys are the WORST! bait in the world....
they fatten the fish up too much... when you see a fish which is proper fat with a big hanging gut - thats because they have been feeding on boileys then there too easy to battle... a 10lb carp from a fishery which doesnt alow boileys is probably equivalent to a 20lb carp from a local park were theyve been munching the boileys....

Hey guys for the Carp on the Float i recommend a certain amount of baits, such as, Luncheon Meat, Macroni Cheese, Pellets, Bread and etc.. I often use Sweetcorn for Loosefeed. Oh yeh Try Catfood, Or if Floater Fishing, Dog Biscuits or the Pellets. (:

As I wrote before, I've brought home many many fish för my aquariums and garden ponds and they do NOT need anything to be well. My believe is that carp care kits are the tackledealers invention and does nothing but empty your wallet. Unhookingmats for BIG fish is something different, that is a piece of tackle I will bring next time I go fishing for big fish (even though I rarely catch any).

Dear me people, an unhooking mat is only necessary for large fish then can injure themselves with their own weight while flapping about on land... even then soft grass will suffice.
For fish this size one is not necessary, they won't be damaged unless you are stupid enough to drop it from height... in which case you shouldn't be handling fish.
Learning how to properly handle fish is better than any unhooking mat money can buy,.

There is no hard ground in this video.
A fish that can be held in a net or is not heavy enough to inflict damage on itself by struggling does not require an unhooking mat... that is not to say one wouldn't be a good idea... but getting on this guys case for not having one is a bit silly.

An unhooking mat would do little to prevent damage from mishandling, learn how to handle fish rather than relying on gimmicks.

i will say this, where ever you fish these days the baylifs wont let you fish unless you have an unhooking mat. if you owned a lake im sure you wont like anglers dropping your fish onto the floor and injureing them.
