I actually sold it, to a nice farmer south of Lincoln, NE. Can't answer any of your length questions, sorry. Wish I had it though, bought an 07 with an isx cummins in it, less power, worse mileage, and all sorts of problems. That old girl started every time and ran its wheels off for years without ever a problem.
Rozlelous1165, they fell out of favor in the U.S. because they aren't very aerodynamic, which means that you spend more money in fuel. plus they tend to ride rough. with some companies running 120% driver turnover rates, giving their valued experienced drivers' a more comfortable truck became important. plus it saves on driver downtime due to back problems.
WOW! This made me chuckle. I have the same truck, '84 model, longer sleeper, dark blue instead of silver, not quite as clean in appearance as yours, 875,000 original miles, two owners, and I just went through nearly the same stuck situation. Mine is parked at a friends while I try to find work for it and it ended up in a soft spot in his "yard". Took me about an hour to get it out. Made me remember why I like this truck so much. It rides REALLY smooth and will go straight down the road no hand
I heard they stop making them i wonder why i love the design the box look (to me) it gives it a modern look well again that's just me don't they break down a lot too that's what my uncle told me he used to drive one and he talked about how much he hated it.
@50centdub I know every thing man made will eventually stop working i was just wondering why they stop making them in America, because in Europe the still make cab over trucks in fact they prefer to use them because the tight areas that a needle noise would surly get stuck. i still love cab over trucks there awesome to me.
@pwarren1010 I like the design still weather it is a byproduct or not and i know they are not made for looks they are made to get the job done, but i just so happen to like the way they look beauty is in the eye of the beholder in my book. do you know if they still make them or not? im looking for one. there is one up the street from where i live but don't know in what condition its in looks like a 1978 model cab-over i want it =].
my oldman had one of those for six months It was the biggest piece of shit he ever owned his words not mine i believe it was a 3406 b 13spd broke down 14 times in six months he traded in on a fld flat top
They don't make them like that anymore!

I like the cabover truck's
but how do you get in one ?
and what do you hold onto?
to get in the seat?
I saw you climb up and then grab the steering wheel to slide in.
is that what the steering wheel's is partly for?
or is there a handle on the door to grab onto and then slide in?

NONVOGLIONOMI: COE Stands for Cab Over Engine ,FLA 9664 is the model of this particular Freightliner.
CojonDeIguana 1 year ago
I found some image of that truck on internet, some website call that model "COE", some other website call that model "FLA 9664"
Someone can tell me which is the real name of that Freightliner? O_o
NONVOGLIONOMI 1 year ago
I used to drive the same year and make COE. Loved it especially in tight areas.
