  • Enjoy the jungle..but as one who has lived in jungle villages in Mexico..just beware of the rainy season when it begins...I was amazed at how many snakes emerged...it seemed like the friggin plague of ancient Egypt..lol...Fortunately we had native folks who could handle them..but man...everyday one was being chased...and my friends...the beauty is one thing...but that bushmaster is NOTHING to mess with. 2nd only to the black mamba.

  • I WONDER HOW COME THIS PEOPLE HAS NO DIE YET BY EATING RAW FOOD.

HUM. THEY DON'T HAVE A FEDERAL DRUG ADMINISTRATION.THE AVERAHGE INDIAN LIVES PASS 90 OF AGE. WHY?

WE DON'T ALLOW FLUORIDE IN OUR WATER,NO PESTICIDES IN OUR FOOD.AND SO ON AND ON.

  • i have this amazing feeling of light looking at that land. It calms me. Just seems so beautiful and sunny up there:)

  • buuuu

  • Love the idea, but you really should give us some more details, like: how much is the land selling for? For how long can a foreigner be owner of land/property in Ecuador. Your suggestion for other people to come up with the money to buy the land so you can build your idea on it would for many sound like a scam, so please explain further. etc. Next year i would like to come down to South America and travel around, including Ecuador. Perhaps we can meet?

  • that is awesome ! id be definitely interested ! you guys rock for doing that. I'm sure you already have your neighbors decided, but would you consider a Christian neighbor?

  • Is it easy to come across vegan food in Ecuador? I am going to study abroad in Ecuador next year but I'm worried I wont be able to find food :\

  • @veggiieee at least in Quito the are many vegeterian restaurants, also you can find vegetarian food in supermarkets if you want to prepare it by yourself.

  • is this land still available?

  • I'm ready to go with my man & our 2 children. I've been waiting for an opportunity to get to a place where I can actually live with the earth & in peace.

I have been looking at real estate in your area. I have never purchased land or a home before because I've been waiting to find the place that says 'home' to me. I found it. Now to figure out how to make it happen! Any advice you can give a mom would be greatly appreciated.

  • Once Hubby gets out of the military count us in u guys. So exciting!! xoxox

  • Ecuadorians have there own methods of building houses and they use ancient techniques such as construction out of bamboo and adobe. Vilcabamba has few places where they build houses completely self sustainable. So my advice if you want to go there to live for good then please don't go with an american gringo profiteering mindset second learn local or new ways of building a sustainable house. THINK ABOUT THE NATURE AROUND YOU... PLEASE DON'T GO IF YOU ARE GOING TO DEFACE IT!!! Cheers

  • I am not sure about you guys but I moved to Quito like 3 weeks ago and I live near Quito in the town called Tumbaco. Now from what I have heard Vilcabamba is one of the most beautiful places in the world and the fact it is being constantly being raped by the foreigners makes it unbearable for the local community. The place very expensive if you thinking of buying some land in Ecuador so this makes only the rich ex-pats to buy the land and build concrete houses and what not. More info in nxt comm

  • gorgeous. hope to see you there!

  • Please update us all on this land, these lots, if any space is still available and how much would it take to get started there. Rent etc...

    Thank You so very much.

    You two ROCK!!

  • hey angelica and Matt... what kind of neighbor are you expecting?...

I believe that you should consider the neigbors that you already have and know the land and who have live all their lives there. You may invite foreign to the land as long as it brings peace prosperity to the whole community with exceptions.

  • hey, Angela and Matt. A question...are they spraying chemtrails down there in Ecuador?

  • @sbdreamin No chemtrails in Ecuador. They don't consider Ecuador either important enough or densely populated enough. Monsanto is also not allowed in here either. I've lived here now for over a year, and the quality of the food is much better than even organic US food. I went to see local farmers and they grow one row of something, then another row of something else that counteracts bugs in the other row. Most farmers just don't have the money for pesticides. The egg yolks are dark orange...

  • Have these lots sold?

  • *sigh* I would love to live there. I'm sadly just not in a position to move... if I was I would go if I could. I envy whoever goes there! Lucky people!

  • How much does it cost to buy the 2.5 acres of land there?

  • Besure to find out about river flooding before your build. Just drive poles into the ground and raise your abode above flood plane. Be sure to have some extra room for those that do not build higher than flood plan. Great place man. I would love to live there but that will have to wait. Maybe in the future! Good Luck!

  • This is amazing. Keep it up!

I know i would bring great energy, help, and ideas to your community. Also, is there any science related graduate schools in vilcabamba?

  • Do you have to pay cash for land?

  • Aloha,

    WOW!!

My husband and I have been talking about moving there for the last 6 months, but we wanted to be with like minded people and to be in a raw community. We did not find one, until now! We have been waiting for the opportunity to do this and this might work for us. Our two children just LOVE you guys, and they are excited to move to Vilcabamba, And so are we!!

I will get in touch with you!!

    Warmest Aloha's

  • Yes I am very interested ! This is Tara.........I will email you !

  • HI! I'm interested. I was born in Ecuador, and at 32 years old living in NY I've just about had it. I have been making plans and saving money to go back. Just looking for a place and people who think this way. Need more info on the project how do I reach you guys?

  • We would love to live there when we retire. How far is it to the ocean? We are raw and love to garden.

  • I would love to live there. We love growing our own food and eating it too.

  • Brilliant!!

  • how do you guys keep yourselves from becoming pregnant? are there any non toxic pregnancy prevention techniques?

  • It probalby would help to have people with certain skills also move by, like construction, green-energy systems, medical, etc.

  • Ive checked out property there, how much is acerage and how do you go about purchacing it ?? there is a couple on youtube that has property there also .if you contact them they will send you tons of info on the area...looks really cool..

  • Have been dreaming about it for quite awhile as well. Would love to join the community in Vilcabamba.

  • My dream....

  • I want to live somewhere like that eventually. Thank you for inspiring me :)

  • I've just read about this project in the newsletter. SO exciting! My other half is terrified of spiders though are there a lot there?

  • Awesome stuff guys! I'm planning on my Central American move sometime in the next 3 years. You're an inspiration!

  • I agree Crosspecans! I'm very intered in the lifestyle, but I've raised my family and am now in a position to go wherever I want and begin anew on the next curve of my path. Let me know when you all are inviting us baby boomers to join in.

  • YES interested, but no $ right now

  • gosh what a wonderful dream. i just know its gonna happen there. id like to put a word in for us old folks. having a few older folks around would surely round out your community. waves~~

  • My eyes teared up. What a beautiful opportunity for someone. All I would need is a way to earn money from there and I would pack up my family.

  • @SpartaMomma I've thought about it too. I am a sculptor and could sell my sculptures via the internet from anywhere in the world... well, as long as I could get them to the post. I already sell all over the world.

  • Bless. I feel "one to many mornings and a thousand miles behind!!!:)" but I KNOW you will draw towards you the best young families ever. So celebrate your empowered flow x

  • Awesome guys! Talk about living the dream!

  • Hi, would like to look at the web site you posted but cant seem to find it. When will it be available to look at?

  • SOOOOOO Exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see them finished :)

  • such an amazing idea!!! we need more people like you doing these kinds of things :) I'm sure it may catch on. Wonderful.

  • You guys are awesome! I would move there If I could afford it!!!!

  • I am so happy you posted this video because since I found your channel I was looking up property in Vilcabamba and it is really inexpensive but many of the land parcels are undeveloped and could see the cost of plumbing, electrcity, and even developing a road if need coudl be costly. My dream would be to move out to Ecquador with the Monarchs. Have you 2 thought of creating a "Tree of Life" community out there??

  • If I had a family starting, I would be SO down for this.

  • it's a tough line between having something fine and sharing something fine. though like minded people may take care in clean and efficient growth of infrastructure, the majority of western immigrants will not.

  • Argghh. If it wasn't for my personal financial situation, I would be there like a shot, living in a tent, waiting for the structure to be built.........

  • My friends can I buy additional land to help? As I am a succesful bizz owner?

  • E kala mai! ^_^

2 acres is actually very small (although you are stoked that you have that river!) to start a commune. 1 acre of healthy food forest feeds roughly 10 people and that is without structures. it sounds like you are going to build large structures given that you are adding bedrooms which can be omitted. consider small personal structures of sod, yurts, domes etc. and 1 larger communal space. use wood as a last resort as its probably coming from the amazon.

  • mmmh, fancying the Bamboo place....this is paradise!! I want to go!

much LOVE for the cocreating conscious children community process,

    hope to join you soon!

    soooon ;-)

    Megumi

  • That would be so amazing...do you have a rough idea of how much a 2-bedroom house would cost? That is something I would want to consider for my future...:)

  • Do you mean there are no immigration laws in Ecuador? We can just move there if we wish so. Amazing country! Maybe in 15 years I'll move there or maybe in Thailand.

  • Are there jobs for Raw Food Truck Drivers in Vilcabamba? haha

  • What happened to the coconut meat bread thing you guys did yesterday? I'm dying to see how it turned out. LOL

  • This is the life I want to live...

  • Sign me up.

  • Count me in I want to be neighbors with the Stokes Monarchs. Throw me in the bamboo forest I would just want a large open floor plan with maybe a bedroom.

Trying to get the finances and passport in order I am heading there.

  • This is awesome! I hope you guys find some pretty cool people to move down there with you. Be blessed and much love. :0)

  • First viewer! Love you guys!
