@Nikopol0710 Hello friend, the music is indeed xploding plastix, it is called funnybones and lazylegs, track 2 in their amateur girfriends go proskirt agents album. GREAT track!
So, how do you know how much heat will get transferred to the oven? Do you make a fire in the bottom and the top portion cooks the pizza? How do you calculate what it takes to get hot enough or not get too hot?
Nice pizza oven Steve! I enjoyed watching you build it! If you made this up as you went along, have you tried spinning straw into gold. You would have a much better chance than average!
All joking aside, super wonderful job. I know someone whose husband had a 'knack' for building pools, you ought to offer your service to others, but check the going rate, so you don't undercut yourself. Good work deserves good pay!
Wow man!!! That was impressive! I enjoyed your video. But you must be a skilled craftsman, I don't think I can do what you did. Loved how you stacked the bricks and shimmed them and then that novel sphere skeleton you made. Wow. Do you have a blog about this?
Hey Steve, At 14 seconds into the video the concrete base that the oven will eventually sit on just appears. Did you have to pour that and then lift it into place? Thanks man, James.
Fantastic job man!!! Did you use a set of instructions or plans to build that? Can you share whatever resources you used to accomplish this here please?
the dimentions really just rely on what you have available or how many pizzas you want to cook at once this oven is an 800mm dome (internal dimention) the base again is just down to what you need.... i basicaly made all this up as i went along if you are noy useing stone as an outer skin i would seriously use ceramic fiber blanket over the fire brick for insulation, then cover that with chicken wire and tin foil and apply layers of concrete over that then render to your deired finish
This is the nicest "looking" outdoor pizza oven that i have seen as the masonry work is lovely. I am going to "copy" yours when the day comes to make my own (except i will use the stonework that is similar to yours but is the same as my house). Thanks for sharing your video.
@kel27280 hi there for this i used fire bricks from an old night-store heater but i would recomend using new fire brick or even better 20-30mm granite you could pick this up quite easily from your local bench top manufactuerer or installer they throw away off-cuts
@Brianowenie hi there for this i used fire bricks from an old night-store heater but i would recomend using new fire brick or even better 20-30mm granite you could pick this up quite easily from your local bench top manufactuerer or installer they throw away off-cuts
@sungurfamily the wooden frame was made to be used again ,supported in the middle buy a car jack when i was finished i removed the frame piece by piece through the opening
The layer applied over the fire brick is made with vermiculite and fire clay this is quite effecive as insulation and much cheaper than ceramic fiber, also the stone work its self is 150mm thick and has excelent insulation properties...... have had great sucsess cooking delicious pizzas in only a few minuts..... would definatly use ceramic fiber blanket on an oven with a rendered finish
If that is your first go at an oven you should start doing it for a job. Very nice looking oven, one of the best on youtube I have seen. I could only wish to have one that good. well done.
like the bit at 1:17 where you grope the girl. Great oven BTW!

Hi there
What's the song in the background?
I know it from somewhere, but really can't remember what it is - maybe something from Xploding Plastix?

Mate... very nice build, by far the best on youtube.
i like they way you have you have finished it with the stacked stone and
the lime stone arches, and the grouting tops it it off with an old colonial style look.
I bet a lot of beer went down in this build!
keep up the good work.
