This is a very beautiful song, but the quotes around the title - The "Sweetest" Girl - add so much. He's singing about a beautiful girl, but he's also singing about pop music, and how pop songs, like politics, can change our perception of the world - "the sickest group in all the world, how could they do this to me?" Choosing a "Lover's Rock" style is probably no accident.
