  • this should really be a movie but a good one not the kind of what happened to resident evil but that kind of what transformers has become just a kickass movie

  • Bingo!

  • "You've changed, Colonel..."

  • Original had better voice acting.

  • Invisible nuclear warhead... This thing could mean the end of the world!

  • ...its a stealh weapon.. (wow) lol

  • This is a remake of mgs1 'The twin snakes' for the gamecube

The original mgs1 is on ps1

  • @AccidentalVillain

    the remake is ugly

    i like the original better

  • If the warhead doesn't use propellant, then what does it use? The game never explains this...

  • But if study Metal Gear REX's mechanical structure, you can guess.

  • It's a shell. The railgun on REX fires it at a super high speed. It doesn't need a booster so hence it's invisible because there's no ignition trail.

  • The word "railgun" actually says it.

The warhead is contained in a ferromagnetic projectile, which is accelerated to travel speed by electrical magnets, pulling or pushing the projectile towards the muzzle, similarly to an electromotor but one way instead of a circle. This allows to keep thermal losses low and concentrated mainly in the weapon coils, not on the projectile.

This sort of weapon, but for small projectiles, is common in sci-fi. Fortune's gun is also build on that principle.

  • Good point. But what is the power going up and down Rex's railgun actually for? Does it give it a start or something?

  • Well it stopped being sci-fi a couple of years ago. The US is already having plans for cruisers equipped with railguns firing spear like objects into space that would impact anywhere on earth.

Supposedly the force released upon impact would rival the force of a nuclear blast.

Scheduled to be complete around 2020... ._.

  • i love how the colonel is just constantly badgered and gets all guilty looking :)

  • Man, Snake sure is on the phone a lot. I wonder if he will run out of minutes.

  • Colonel's respoken dialogue sounds like crap. He sounds like he could care less about Metal Gear. PSX version forever.

  • An invisible nuclear warhead. THat would suck

    really bad!!!

  • why do u have always a comment to everything ...

  • ok I agree

  • part two of my comment:

that means: when the nuke gets fired, you could actually detect it with a thermal goggle because it got hot cuz of the explosion, but as time goes by, the projectile, or nuke will cool down and you will not be able to detect it with thermal goggles anymore.

lol hehe, just wanted to say that

  • it might use a natural prupolsion (sorry) thats used by some clams i read about.

  • it accerelates with magnets so it wont produce heat

  • have you seen a transformer the one that power ups your house? ok that energy is transmitted trought a short gap of air and it produces a lot of heat.

  • actually your wrong...thats the problem with the U.S navies experimental Real Gun...it generates way to much heat which erodes the rails limiting its usage...the projectile would be really hot after it would have left the gun so this idea wouldn't really work

  • Rail gun*

  • So, pray tell me how a nuke that does not use fuel to propel itself forward radiate heat so that it can be spotted with thermal vision?

  • hmmm, lol i somehow wanna comment this too hehe: for example, a pistol-bullet is also a kind of non-propelled projectile. but what makes the bullet fly? it's the explosion that happens when the cock hits it from behind. the barrel channels the explosion's energy into the bullet and makes it fly,i guess the metal gear nuke is also suposed to work like that, just with a bigger explosion.that energy is not just kinetic, but also thermal energy that gets channeled into the bullet, the bullet gets hot

  • thats is correct

  • I much prefer these kind of codec visuals to the mgs2 codec calls

  • You mean the Codec itself or the characters' faces ?

  • i agree

both the faces and the codec i liked better

  • They used the same Codec from "Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance".

  • true

    but the faces were better

  • And maybe I should remind you that these faces were ripped off directly from the original PlayStation version.

  • AWESOME!

  • ITS THE END OF THE WORLD man we'd be in deep shit if this WASNT a game

  • if we knew 1/10th of the shit that happens in our back unnoticed we had material to make metal gear solid 51...

  • I don't like the Lip-Sync on TTS. The Original's was better.

  • This part of the game was what creped me out the most; the idea that these types of things could really happen, and the next few parts about Master and what-not. I don't know why, but they just really messed with me.

  • I wish this exist for every metal gear solid.. It would be great :>.

  • nicceee !

  • Thanks for uploading!
